Shortly thereafter, a friend that was a D4 at the University of Iowa suggested Shawn give a presentation about disability insurance, and Shawn’s work with dentists began. Shawn decided to build his own planning model exclusively for dentists in 2021 when he launched his independent firm, Dentist Exit Planning.
He enjoys hosting and guesting on many dental podcasts, as it’s a reminder of his first career. Shawn previously spent 10 years working as a television sports anchor and sports talk radio host throughout the Midwest. He received his Bachelor of Arts from The University of Iowa in 2000.
