I wanted to show you how deep work really is the key to getting where you want to be. Today, we are going to talk to an amazing woman named Heidi.

Heidi was able to have an amazing transformation around her own goals in just a matter of months. She has been able to eat more calories while losing weight, stop binge eating, and completely free up her mental space around food, the scale, and the fear of gaining weight.

The thing that truly made the difference for Heidi—and helped her transform—wasn’t a special workout or diet hack, it was inner work (like journaling, inner child work, mental reframes, etc.)

Today, I interviewed a newer friend of mine—Alex Bush. Alex is a co-owner of Physique Development and he is an expert on all things training related.

I wanted to get him on here to give a little bit of a different perspective on training because training is such an important part of weight loss and transformation—if your training is not in the right place, it will yield very different results than if your training is set up correctly.

We talk about not only training with the optimal program/plan—and doing things the best way possible—but also training in a practical way. Where does 'optimal' training and 'practical' training intersect for the average person?

EP#253: Overcoming Anorexia, Living an Unbalanced Life, & Building an 8-Figure Nutrition Business with Jason Phillips

On today’s episode, I am talking to a very good friend and mentor of mine: Jason Phillips. Jason is the founder of the Nutritional Coaching Institute, which trains coaches to better serve their clients through the use of proper nutrition and the service of coaching. 

Growing up, Jason struggled with anorexia, his relationship with food, and with his body—but after coming through that built a massively successful business. Today, we talk about his story, his journey, and how he has gone about improving his relationship with food. 

We also talked about his perspective on balance and “having it all,” because Jason has one of the most full lives I’ve ever seen. He is always, on a plane, with his daughter, on stage, doing things, serving other people, eating out—but he manages to stay lean and healthy all year ‘round.

Because mom-life is chaotic. 

The majority of our client base are busy moms, so I wanted to bring in our newest coach, Coach Sydnee—who is a busy mom herself—for this episode.

Sydnee has been crushing it since she joined us and she’s got a lot of insight for busy moms out there because she has firsthand experience going through this.

I made a small post about this and it really struck a chord with people, so I wanted to talk more in-depth about it.

I often find that when I make a post that upsets a lot of people, it reveals an area where we have room for improvement.

By getting into these weight loss truths on the podcast, I can elaborate and really get into explaining these concepts so that those of you who are going to take this information and run with it will have a better understanding. 

These, again, are weight loss truths that most people are NOT ready to face—so they will be uncomfortable, because ignorance is bliss.

What I want most is for you all to achieve your goals—and if you don’t face these truths, you won’t be able to build a good foundation.
