Jason is the founder of the Nutritional Coaching Institute, which trains coaches to better serve their clients through the use of proper nutrition and the service of coaching.  Growing up, Jason struggled with anorexia, his relationship with food, and with his body—but after coming through that built a massively successful business. Today, we talk about his story, his journey, and how he has gone about improving his relationship with food.  We also talked about his perspective on balance and “having it all,” because Jason has one of the most full lives I’ve ever seen. He is always, on a plane, with his daughter, on stage, doing things, serving other people, eating out—but he manages to stay lean and healthy all year ‘round. Today we welcome back my friend, Nick Ross, to the show. Nick is a killer when it comes to the mindset, headspace, and the idea of remaking yourself. Nick was recently on the show (episode and it was one of my most talked-about episodes to date. I love that you guys are into the deeper aspects of dieting and transformation because we get to talk about more than just calories and workouts—which is important—but outer work (nutrition, training) without inner work (identity, inner child, relationship with food), doesn't work.  Today we get into a lot about identity—which is one of the biggest things we work on with clients. Your identity is one of the biggest factors involved in self-sabotage. If you struggle with being on/off diets—you start off strong, but something always happens—and you wind up back where you started, there is probably an issue with identity, because your identity will not go down without a fight. So, one of the things I focus on is—instead of trying again, trying harder, and hoping it works out this time—why don’t we change our identity to be in line with our goals?  Nick has been working on a piece of content that he calls the 'Six Stages of Changing Your Identity'—how to go about changing your identity and shifting it from a tactical and tangible place. EP#245: The Other Side of Letting Go—Breaking Egoic Connections, Addressing Your Inner Darkness, & Realizing Your Worthiness ft. Kyle Cease

In today's episode, I interview someone I have wanted to interview for a very long time, Kyle Cease. I was actually a little nervous for this one! Kyle was pivotal in my life about 3-4 years ago when I discovered his content. He is a New York Times Best Selling Author who has written two books—the first one, I Hope I Screw This Up, and the second, The Illusion of Money. On this show and in my coaching we talk about the inner game a lot and it was Kyle's material that gave me the courage to start talking about that when I didn't know any other coaches doing it at the time. Kyle's story really resonated with me because he was a stand-up comedian. He got to the pinnacle of his stand-up career—his dream career—and it started to feel heavy to him, leading him into the world of transformation. Kyle was able to bring together the world of entertainment and transformation. When I heard his story it gave me the permission I didn't know I needed to transition my business and my coaching career to where I am now: focusing on the inner game and dieting from the inside out.  This is a very special interview for me, and I know you guys are going to love it! In this episode, we have a very special guest episode—and a very good friend of mine—Carter Good. Carter has been coaching for about the same amount of time as me, but before he started coaching, Carter had his own weight loss journey, losing over 140lbs on his own. One of the most interesting things about Carter is that he lives his life in a way that is not super conducive to fat loss. He travels, goes to music festivals, and has managed to keep his weight off for over five years. I wanted to have Carter on the show because I know he will have a lot of great information on not only how to have your own transformation, but how to live your best life and maintain that transformation sustainably. Often, after we lose weight, we find ourselves trapped because we're afraid we won't keep it off.
