Get ready for a true Jamaican Christmas cuisine. Here are some Jamaican Christmas traditions: The Christmas day meal is usually prepared on Christmas Eve. The Christmas Day breakfast includes ackee and saltfish, breadfruit, fried plantains, boiled bananas, freshly squeezed fruit juice and tea. Dinner is usually served in the late afternoon and this may include turkey, chicken, curry goat, stewed oxtail and very importantly rice and peas. Jamaican red wine and rum fruitcake is traditional and is eaten in most homes. The fruits in the cake are soaked in red wine and white rum for months. Christmas is a very special time in Jamaica and like a lot of other countries, radio stations play Christmas carols. Lots of people paint their houses and hang new curtains and decorations for Christmas. Jinnerfer Strother was born in Saint Louis, currently resides in Las Vegas. She is the oldest of three children, and the only one with a visual impairment. Her mother is an artis and her father is retired Navy and city foreman. Jinnerfer has never allowed blindness to get in the way of anything that she is wanted to do in life. She was taught that she can do all things through Christ and has never been able to process the meaning. She is a mother, motivational speaker and other attributes.

Ariel Cooper better known to her fans and supporters as REL. Started her brand Shesrel in 2021 with the help of her family owned business management firm Cooper Innovation, to empower women and liberate their lives. Shesrel is a female brand that provides an outlet for freedom, positivity, and empowerment through fashion, music and a positive lifestyle. She’s rel has created a space where women can feel confident about being themselves while living their best life.

Hi I’m Ariel, or REL for short. I am a totally blind entrepreneur, wife and a mother of two amazing children. Loosing my vision at the age of 9 years old was the cause of me developing insecurities that worked to hold me back from my true potential. I never felt pretty enough, smart enough or capable enough to be successful. It wasn’t until I ran away to Austin Texas that I discovered my strength and passion for helping women find their own strength. I built the Shesrel brand to have a place for myself to explore my own freedom and personal self expression. I hope that by empowering myself to grow, and continuing to live through positivity. As a little girl I always dreamt of being a motivational speaker. I knew I was different and felt I had a story to share. I wondered if that would be enough to enable me in motivating others with similar stories. For most people their story consists of years of experiences and interactions with others, that form the person they become. For me, my story began the second I was born. I was rushed into surgery at 5 hours old as my parents received news that I was born with Spina Bifida, a birth defect that occurs when the spine and spinal cord don’t form properly and are split. It often causes paralysis and sometimes mental handicap. The doctors informed my parents that I would not ever be able to crawl or walk and I would have a lifetime of struggles.. Her family emigrated to the United Arab Emirates, where She lived for about 10 years. Anne spent time in England and Austria for school, and eventually came to the US to finish her degree in biology. She got married and raised a family of 3 amazing kids while living in Connecticut. Anne Along with her husband are currently building a house in southern Vermont. They still have 2 out of 3 grown kids living with them, which is exciting.Anne started writing because She felt a definite push from the Lord to write the stories in her head. She has been published since 2016.

Brianna Terry, a native of Baytown, Texas, is the founder of Scarred Not Broken. She was born with Osteopetrosis, a rare bone disorder, and is completely blind. Despite her disabilities, Brianna excelled academically, and graduated at the top of her high school class. Not having the opportunity to go off to college motivated Brianna to create her own pathway to success. As a motivational speaker and writer, she now uses her story to encourage others to live the lives they desire! Brianna’s hope is that, through her personal journey, you will be inspired to achieve your goals, regardless of the barriers that stand in your way.

At it’s inception, Elm Inc. was founded with the help of Naquela Wright and Ihsaan R. Muhammad Esq., along with the founder, Krystle Allen to introduce a unique pattern of advocacy for individuals who are vision impaired or blind.

Life Books for Kids is a fun and spiritual book series created to help kids understand how to tap into their higher power to navigate through life. Basic life morals are discussed through age-appropriate humor, captivating illustrations, and real-life stories. The series also explains the “why” kids should listen to parents and teachers and the consequences for not. The goal of the series is to help families foster parent/child relationships through prayer and a sneak introduction to journaling. The series is also coupled with the Capital Summit Youth Edition (a nonprofit) that assists kids in finding and nurturing their life’s purpose through periodic exposure to various activities, guest speakers and events.
