This episode features our resident Dera Luce - essayist, speculative fiction writer, and multi-disciplinary artist whose stories explore queerness, linguistics, shifting realities, and other extraordinary experiences that he is still finding the words for.
Heal-GPT (Slowed + Reverb) : a music story about healing Generational Physical/Psychological Trauma. The lyrics explore the shape of time as it relates to the nebulous borders of generations. Our present healing reverberates through time. Neither time nor healing is linear.

hiba ali & digital networks as sites of healing
This first episode was recorded during our *In the loop* residency kick-off week in Germany and features our resident hiba ali - a producer of moving images, sounds, garments and words. They use 3D animation and digital art to create liminal spaces where they engage in world building, storytelling and digital poesis.
In this episode, hiba shares about their work, their relationship to time as a kid of working class immigrant parent and their feelings of being part of the residency. hiba’s artwork will be presented during our upcoming symposium and is called : "Watering the Somatic Oasis" a VR project that uses the immediacy of technologies and somatic techniques to “slow” down time.

Kira Xonorika & indigenous trans AI as a portal for plurality and connection
In this episode you will hear from our resident Kira Xonorika - interdisciplinary artist & writer. Their work explores the multidimensional connections between ancestry, futurity and magic. Through transcultural, feminist, and AI-collaborative frameworks, Xonorika weaves worlds that center multi-species intelligence to decolonize binary relations in history,
aims to connect with ancestral memory in the construction of poetic and vibrant worlds: crafting an origin story for future-present time/space axiological restoration. Visualizing an indigenous, trans AI restoring memory and building worlds, historical trans aesthetics, and multimodal bodies, this piece aims to create a portal for safety, abundance, plurality, and connection.

Bretas & Black memory through new technologies
This third episode was recorded during our *In the loop* residency kick-off week and features our resident Bretas - visual artist and researcher. His artistic work has as its main theme the Imagery of Memory, combining politics, technology and history in multiple formats. Among his works, the creation of AI ‘DeepFakes’ stands out as a tool for intervening in African and Indigenous memory in Brazil, using Artificial Intelligence to tension temporalities and imaginaries.
#01: “The Eye That Portrays.”

#02: “Self-Archive”
Using AI deepfakes to performatively interact with the archive, cloning the 150 years old portraits faces into his own, as digital masks.

Noam Youngrak Son & unionizing with AI
This second episode was recorded during our *In the loop* residency kick-off and features our resident Noam Youngrak Son - communication designer practicing queer publishing.
In their work, Son explores revolutionary methods of disseminating deviant narratives. They attempt to convey the voices of marginalized bodies into designed forms that do not conform to the cis-hetero-normative and colonial power structure.
Their work for the residency is named Unionizing the speculative: Speculative fundraising towards generative AI - creative worker unionization and is an urgent response to these urgent following questions: How can creative workers unionize with generative AI? How can we as creative workers be accountable to AI-led automation?
