This Week’s Guest On Diane’s Kitchen: Sheldon Johnson
This week on Diane's Kitchen, meet Executive Director, Sheldon Johnson, from the Northwest Regional Planning Commission (NWRPC).
This ten-county organization, which began in 1959, has a multi-service structure, always keeping its mission statement in the forefront, “Keeping Your Future as Our Focus.” On this week's broadcast, recycling is the topic. Where, how, what, and when. Washburn County has four drop-off centers alone, and they all have the same requirements: recyclable materials have to be clean, fit the profile, and also fit the requirements. The service is free unless it has a plug. There is a minimum charge for those items which then covers the cost for NWRPC has to pay to send them on.
