117: Toxic Diet Culture vs. Toxic Anti-Diet Culture
In this episode, we discuss the two toxic extremes of diet culture and the anti-diet culture movement. Listen is as we discuss why neither of these extremes is a healthy place to be.

41: Meal Planning
In this episode we push back on the culture that says "There is only one right way to do meals." As Christian moms, we have tried so many different ways to honor our Lord by feeding our families. And sometimes, out of shear exhaustion, we found a new way that works for a season of our lives but then we realize we need to add a little more structure or a little less structure to our meal-time routine. It is always a dynamic conversation about how to meet our families needs without succumbing to the ever present cultural pressures or what the popular media considers "The. Only. Right. Way".

40: Food Environment
In this podcast, nutrition experts Jacque and Brooke, talk about food environments in biblical culture and in our culture today. The food environment we find ourselves in today influences, or at least tries to influence us with million dollar marketing campaigns, to make choices that might not be in our best interest. There is a tension today in making good choices that was not "in our face" as much a few generations ago. With all these changes, we offer a voice of reason and push back on the culture from a biblical perspective.

39: Food and Celebrations
In this episode we look at food and celebrations. These can be anxiety producing situations for restrictive eaters. We might try all kinds of different ways to manipulate things so we can more easily deal with an event where food is present. We might not feel "capable of eating" foods in moderation when we have an eating disorder. But God has called all foods good and has even blessed his people with the gift of hospitality. A biblical view of food and celebrations can free us to use our gifts and share in the joy of fellowship with others.

38: God's Masterpiece, Our Earthly Bodies and the Golden Rule
In this episode, we focus on Ephesians 2:10 which says that "we are His masterpiece, created in Christ to do good works..." What does this mean? How does being created by God affect how we see our bodies and live our lives? This episode isn't just food or nutrition, but it's an important discussion to have about our purpose here on earth.

35: Issues of the Heart: Self-Control
In this episode, we talk about the differences between controlling everything in our lives to biblical self-control. Does the Bible call us to be self-controlled with our food choices? Does eating dessert mean that we lack self-control? I think Christians often feel that their inability to use will power to control their food intake is a sin, which isn't necessarily biblical.
