In this episode, I will review three comic stories in the comic book series, Incredible Science Fiction, which EC Comics published during the early to mid-1950s.

In this special episode of the podcast, I will talk about the Light Out TV show from the early 50s. Lights Out started as a radio drama during the 30s and was very popular. During the early days of television, it was produced as a live show.

This show is a book review of the hard science fiction novel Mission of Gravity by Hal Clement.

In today's show, I will discuss the 50s sci-fi TV show, Tom Corbet Space Cadet.  Tom Corbet was a TV, radio, and comic book series based on the science fiction story Space Cadet by Robert Hineline.  The series aired during the early 50s and was broadcasted live. 

Today I will review two science fiction radio drama episodes from two different radio shows.

Today I will review the  1950 sci-fi movie Rocketship X-M, one of the earliest sci-fi movies released during the 50s. 

I am just letting my listeners know I am still here and active.  I haven't been able to work on my show in a while, however a new one is in the works. 

 I will discuss the comic book, Keyton of the Star Patrol which appeared in, Stange Worlds comics, published by Altas in 1950.  I have mentioned Keyton before in season 1 episode 3. 

In today's episode of the show, I will review two episodes of Dimeson X.  A science fiction radio drama that aired in the early 50s on the NBC radio network.  It was the precursor to X-Munis-One and had some of the same stories.  I will discuss the very first episode Outer Limit aired on April 8, 1950, and the 13th show A Logic named Joe aired on July 1, 1950.  

Today I will review the 1957 science fiction movie, Kronos.  Kronos is a b-grade 50s sci-fi movie that has obtained minor cult status among sci-fi fans.  It has one of the most unusual alien monsters ever shown in a 50s b film. 

In this episode, I will discuss one of the earliest works of sci-fi author Philip K. Dick.  The man who Japed is his second novel published by Ace in 1956 and was a part of an Ace double back book.  I am familiar with the work of PKD via the various movies that have been made around his novels and short stories.  I have never read any of his work until now.  I hope that you will enjoy my review.

In this episode, I will examine the culture of civil defense that existed in the 50s.  Many Americas believed that with proper planning, the US would survive an Atomic attack.  I will review two TV presentations from the 50s that convey that perspective.  First up is Atomic Attack, a fictional account of a suburban housewife surviving an attack.  The second is a documentary entitled  A Day Called X, the program demonstrates how effective civil defense can be if planned according.  The document uses real people and not actors including the Mayor of Portland, OR where the story takes place. 

Today I will discuss one of my all-time favorite science fiction movies from the 1950s.  This Island Earth released in 1955 starting with Rex Reason, Jeff Morrow, and Fath Demorque.  This is no b-grade flick but an A-list science fiction story that is more a thinking man's movie than mindless fun. I recently did a mini-review as a contributor to another podcast.
