Daniel 11 (Part 2)
Continuing from the previous message, Pastor Mathew covers Daniel 11:13-20. Beyond an overview of the details in these verses, an interesting question arises concerning this section of the prophecy. Are the details of verses 13-20 fulfilled during the days of the Ptolemaic and Seleucid Kingdoms, or are they fulfilled near the time of the end? Listen as Pastor Mathew highlights a few interesting observations.

Daniel 11 (Part 1)
Daniel 11 provides the angelic explanation of the vision that caused Daniel distress in the previous chapter, and it is the most detailed prophecy in the Book of Daniel. The prophecy of Daniel 11 covers thousands of years of history, and the level of detail is so precise that it can only come from God. In this message, Pastor Mathew covers Daniel 11:1-12.

Prophetic Gaps in Scripture
In biblical prophecy, a prophet may describe two or more distinct events as a continuous or sequential whole, even though the events may be separated by hundreds or thousands of years. This feature of biblical prophecy is often called "prophetic foreshortening" or "prophetic perspective," and the understanding of this feature is critical to the proper interpretation of many prophetic passages. This feature of prophecy is present in Daniel 9:25-27, where there is an unspecific (though hinted) gap of time between Daniel 9:26 and 27 (a gap of time between the first 69 weeks and the final 70th week).

Listen as Pastor Mathew exposits this very applicable portion of the Book of Daniel.

Interpreting Biblical Prophecy
In our study of Daniel 8, Pastor Mathew challenged the traditional interpretation of the little horn in Daniel 8, arguing that the little horn is actually the end time Antichrist. In this message, Pastor Mathew explains the methodology that led to his interpretation of the little horn in Daniel 8. This methodology, along with associated principles, can provide a helpful approach to the interpretation of biblical prophecy in general.

Daniel 8 (Part 2)
In this message, Pastor Mathew finishes Daniel 8. In keeping with the interpretation that the little horn of Daniel 8 is the eschatological Antichrist, the remainder of Daniel 8 provides even more information about the rise and personal characteristics of the Antichrist.

East Memorial Student Ministry | Pastor Mathew Wronski | April 9th, 2023

Daniel 8 (Part 1)
Daniel 8 introduces a new vision that came to Daniel about two years after the vision in Daniel 7. This vision in Daniel 8, although involving the Greek and Persian Empires, has a primary focus on an individual called the "little horn." Historically, the "little horn" in Daniel 8 has been interpreted as Antiochus IV Epiphanes. However, as Pastor Mathew moves through this chapter, he will seek to demonstrate that the little horn in Daniel 8 is the same little horn of Daniel 7, the Antichrist who will come to power at the end of the age.

Daniel 7 (Part 2)
In this episode, Pastor Mathew covers the remainder of Daniel 7, where the primary focus turns to two rival persons: the Son of Man and the little horn of the fourth beast. Listen to discover what the vision of Daniel 7 reveals about these two persons.
East Memorial Student Ministry | Pastor Mathew Wronski | March 29th, 2023

Daniel 7 (Part 1)
Daniel 7 is the hinge in the Book of Daniel, combining what came before (Daniel 1-6) with a new orientation in the book. Daniel 7 begins a series of visions that came directly to Daniel and that would be focused on both the spiritual forces behind nations and the future of God's people. In this first message on Daniel 7, Pastor Mathew covers the vision of the four beasts.

Daniel 6 (Part 2)
In this second installment of Daniel 6, Pastor Mathew teaches on Daniel and his deliverance from the lions' den. In life there are really only two choices. We can live for our own desires and glory and face a judgment that is more severe than we think we deserve, or we can live for God's desires and glory, which will bring deliverance and blessing beyond what we actually deserve. Daniel chose the second.

Persecution
Persecution is a significant theme in the Book of Daniel, and if you are a true follower of God, the experience of some form of persecution is unavoidable. In this message, Pastor Mathew introduces the topic of persecution, focusing on its inevitability and the causes that lead to it. A better understanding of persecution should help one endure it when (not if) it comes.

Daniel 6 (Part 1)
In Daniel 6, the Medo-Persians are now in charge, having conquered the Babylonians. Daniel is advanced in age and a stranger to the royal court of the Medo-Persians, but God would still use him as a powerful testimony to the new leadership. However, promotions and success can draw envy and increased scrutiny. Just like his three friends before him, Daniel would become the target of persecution.

Daniel 5
While one would hope that the humbling of King Nebuchadnezzar would positively influence the future generations of Babylonian rulers, that would not be the reality. The last ruler of Babylon, Belshazzar, was a proud and foolish man who did not learn from the testimony of King Nebuchadnezzar, and he would pay the price for it. In this message, join Pastor Mathew as he teaches through Daniel 5, covering the destruction of both Belshazzar and the Babylonian Empire.

Interpreting Biblical Symbolism (Parable of the Mustard Seed)
In our current study of Daniel, we have encountered two dreams in Daniel 2 and 4 (the statue and the tree). Both dreams employ symbolism that would be impossible to understand without a given interpretation. In Daniel 2 and 4, God gives Daniel the interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar's dreams. However, in other portions of Scripture that use symbolism, the interpretation is not always spelled out for the reader. In those cases, how can we arrive at a confident and objective interpretation? Join us as Pastor Mathew guides the students through the interpretation of the Parable of the Mustard Seed.

Daniel 4
In Daniel 4, Nebuchadnezzar receives a second vision that must be interpreted by Daniel. Unfortunately for Nebuchadnezzar, this vision would predict a final and humbling lesson on God's sovereignty over kings and nations. Join Pastor Mathew as he teaches through this chapter.

Daniel 3
In this message, Pastor Mathew teaches through Daniel 3, a chapter where the faith of Shadrach (Hananiah), Meshach (Mishael), and Abednego (Azariah) will literally be tested by fire. Also in this chapter, King Nebuchadnezzar will learn an important lesson about the power of Israel's God.

Daniel 2 - Third Kingdom Reconsidered
In this special recording, Pastor Mathew addresses a potential challenge to his interpretation of the fourth kingdom in Daniel 2. If the fourth kingdom is a future eschatological kingdom that is ruled by the Antichrist, and if the fourth kingdom comes to power immediately after the third kingdom (the Greek Empire), then is the world still under the dominion of the third kingdom? How does one explain the fact that the Roman Empire conquered the Greek Empire? Join Pastor Mathew as he attempts to answer these questions.

Daniel 2 (Part 2)
In this message, Pastor Mathew continues teaching on the vision of Daniel 2. This message focuses on the nature of the Kingdom of God (the stone cut without hands) and the identity of the statue's fourth kingdom (iron legs and iron mixed with clay feet).

Daniel 2 - Unity of the Statue
In this episode, Pastor Mathew discusses the observation that all the kingdoms represented by the statue in Daniel 2 are depicted as being unified in some way. How is possible for different human empires to be competitive with one another and unified with one another at the same time? Join us as Pastor Mathew briefly discusses this question.

Daniel 2 (Part 1)
Beginning our study of Daniel 2, Pastor Mathew explores the details of this chapter. In this message, the setting of the chapter is outlined, a likely explanation for King Nebuchadnezzar's harsh command is explained, and most of Nebuchadnezzar's dream is studied.

Divination in the Bible
In Daniel 1:20, the reader is introduced to Babylonian magicians and conjurers, all of whom Daniel and his friends surpassed in knowledge and wisdom. In this Sunday morning lesson, Pastor Mathew gives a biblical background to the practice of these magicians and conjurers, a practice called divination.

Daniel 1
Daniel 1 introduces Daniel and his three compatriots (Hananiah, Mishael, Azariah) and their assimilation into the court of King Nebuchadnezzar. As mere teenagers, Daniel and his friends show great resolve and trust in the Lord, but they had no control over their fate. However, contrary to what would be natural to assume, the Babylonians had no control over their fate either. God brought them to Babylon, God protected them from compromise, and God facilitated their promotion to the personal service of the king. God was and is always in control of men's fate.

An Overview of Israel's Exile
The book of Daniel opens with Jehoiakim, King of Judah, being taken to Babylon as an exile and royal captive (along with a segment of the Judean population that includes Daniel). In this episode, Pastor Mathew presents a brief overview of Israel's exile into Babylon, which includes the exile's background and hopeful end. An understanding of this topic will lead to a better understanding of Daniel as a whole.

Relationships - Divorce and Remarriage
Concluding this series on relationships, Pastor Mathew ends where it started: the topic of marriage. Addressing perhaps the most sensitive and difficult topic related to marriage, Pastor Mathew addresses divorce and remarriage. Is it ever permissible to divorce a spouse in the eyes of God? Even if there are multiple grounds for biblical divorce, is remarriage after divorce acceptable? Listen as Pastor Mathew seeks to answer these difficult questions through Scripture.
