#57: Kwasi Adu-Poku: Building a Values-Based Business and Career: Unlocking Success through Community Building
In this new episode, Emeka sits down with the Founder of The Reach Series, Kwasi Adu-Poku.
Kwasi Adu-Poku is a small business owner, former varsity athlete, McMaster Honours Kinesiology graduate, and master's policy graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University. He currently works for the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing on some of the largest housing/homelessness programs in the province. He launched The Reach Series in 2020 based on the mental health challenges he faced in various areas of his life. He uses this platform to provide events, workshops, speaking services, and custom apparel around sustainable personal development. He is passionate about leadership, community engagement, and innovation, which is reflected in his 20+ awards and $70,000 in scholarship funding. He has also used his business to plant more than 200 trees across the world and provide 18 free therapy sessions for individuals. #49: Richard Newman: How an Introverted, Shy & High-Functioning Autistic went on to Teach Advanced Communication Skills to Global Business Leaders
Business leaders all over the world rely on Richard to transform their communication and to speak on the biggest stages. One client won over $1 Billion in new business in one year, using Richard’s techniques. His team has trained 120,000 clients worldwide. But Richard had to learn it all from scratch. Richard is highly introverted. He has high-functioning autism. He was painfully shy as a child.
Aged 18, Richard started his mission to discover the core communication principles. He went to live in the foothills of the Himalayas with Tibetan monks, who spoke no English.
