Ven from Evernoir - Chats with the Freak
The members have united under a history of depression, and have chosen to take a stand for the wounded and fallen. Their lyrics focus around abuse and suicide awareness; they aim to encourage listeners to keep fighting and seek help. Music was a refuge for each member during their own struggles, and they want their listeners, dubbed “Noirbirds,” to know they are not alone and that there is hope.

Mark Tremonti - Chats with the Freak

Bourbon House- Chats with the Freak
Bourbon House was founded by guitarist Jason Clark and vocalist Lacey Crowe in 2017.
Upon the release of their self-titled EP, the single "Music in Your Bones" attracted the attention of disk jockeys around the world and received airplay on independent radio in more than a dozen countries and by the summer of 2018 they released their second album, Wild Abandon. The album spawned the fan favorites "Burn Them Bones," "Drown it in Whiskey," and "Jailer."
From the fall of 2018 through the following year, the band welcomed Ryan Sargent as their official drummer, played across the American Midwest, and began recording singles which would ultimately comprise their third album.
Bourbon House have been featured twice in Classic Rock Magazine, once for "Too High to Care," which was nominated for Track of the Week, and another time for "Devil on my Heels," which earned them a Track of the Week win and a spot on the magazine's covermount CD as well as a shout-out from Eddie Trunk on the program Trunk Nation. The success of "Devil on My Heels" continued as it reached #1 on the independent charts in Australia and #2 in the UK.
In early 2020, they played a show in Nashville, TN, to benefit tornado victims, but had to cancel plans to tour the eastern states due to the pandemic. The band used the down time to shoot music videos for "Too High to Care" and "6000 Miles," and finish writing and recording what would be their third album.
After landing a slot on the Blind Anxiety Entertainment roster, Bourbon House headlined their first tour of 25 dates through the southern United States in the spring of 2021. Within the following three months, Bourbon House released the single "Dead in the Water" along with an official music video and signed a management deal with Paul Crosby Management. "Dead in the Water" became a new fan favorite and is their first single to reach active rock radio, charting at 50 on BDS Indicator and 22 on the Foundations chart. In October of 2021, the band released their third album, Into the Red, on PACgroove Records with distribution through VON Artists Ltd. and The Orchard (Sony) which features the singles from the past two years and six previously unreleased tracks, including "I Got Trouble" for which they released their latest music video.
Plans for 2022 include touring far and wide and another full-length album of original material.

Ken Jay Static X- Chats with the Freak
https://static-x.org/
Static-X is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1994. The line-up has fluctuated over the years, but was long-held constant with band founder, frontman, vocalist, and guitarist Wayne Static until 2014.
The band was founded by Wayne Static and original drummer Ken Jay. They rose to fame with their 1999 debut album Wisconsin Death Trip where their heavy industrial metal sound attracted attention within the burgeoning nu metal movement of the late 1990s, with the album eventually going platinum in the United States. The band released five more albums over the course of the next decade: Machine in 2001, Shadow Zone in 2003, Start a War in 2005, Cannibal in 2007, and Cult of Static in 2009.
The band entered a hiatus while Static worked on his solo album, Pighammer, in 2011. Static briefly reformed Static-X in 2012, using only members of his solo album's touring band, before officially breaking up in June 2013. On November 1, 2014, Wayne Static died at the age of 48.
The rest of the original Static-X lineup – bassist Tony Campos, guitarist Koichi Fukuda and drummer Ken Jay – announced on October 23, 2018 that they were reforming the band in Static's honor, and would release Project Regeneration, their first studio album in eleven years, in 2020.

Andre from Cut the Berry and Jonathon Eley- Chats with the Freak
Special thanks to Sarina from Music Hallucinations for making this episode possible!
Cut the Berry is a 5-piece experimental rock band, based in Manchester UK, but from all over the world.
Composed and produced in by André Pires, a sound engineer, producer and "weird music" fanatic, it delivers exactly that, weird music, arranged with beautiful melodies and aggressive latin, tribal, electronic and experimental interpretations. It tells a complex story narrated by a complex soundtrack.
Jonathon Eley released his third album, America 25. On Twitter the following day, Eley thanked his fans and announced this would be his last rap installment. A year after his poignant sophomore album, Tomorrow They’ll Care, Eley punctuates the trend of social commentary with this final installment. Since winning the title of “next big producer” from Ryan Lewis at the Buffalo Beat Battle, Eley has always used his platform to call out injustice

Ryan of Little King- Chats with the Freak
FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com/littlekingtunes
The Rock and Roll band Little King was formed in November of 1996 by guitarist/singer/songwriter Ryan Rosoff in El Paso, Texas. Rosoff had cut his teeth as the guitar player in the seminal eclectic rock group Tweed Quickly (where he met future Little King bassist Shannon Brady). After a year in that band, he had written enough of his own songs to try his hand at recording and producing a record. Rosoff named the new group Little King (a translation of the name "Ryan" in Gaelic). Featuring bassist Mike Esparza and drummer Alex Lizarazo, the trio played a few shows locally and regionally in the next four months while preparing to enter the studio. Little King's first demo CD, titled Transmountain, was released in El Paso in May on 1997. The group continued to tour and promote the CD, which sold about 800 copies in and around the Southwest.

Shawn of American Dream Machine and Rabid Flesh Eaters- Chats with the Freak
Rabid Flesh Eaters- After over 30 years of a brotherhood founded on the searing fire of classic metal bands like Black
Sabbath, Motörhead, Slayer, and Rigor Mortis, the aggressive foaming at the mouth sonic assault of
the R.F.E. is more relentless than ever.
R.F.E.’s eight vicious new tracks are stronger and achieve heavier, faster heights than anything they’ve
released before. With developed dynamics, extreme tightness, and a heart pounding impact this band has
clearly evolved since their last album, 2016’s Reign of Terror. Beyond setting new standards for today’s
speed metal genre, this record is a visceral homage to their longtime friends, Texas metal legends Rigor
Mortis - drummer Harden Harrison, bassist Casey Orr, and their fallen brothers, guitarist Mike Scaccia
(1965-2012) and vocalist Bruce Corbitt (1962-2019).

UltraViolent, Dancing With Ghosts and Shatter Brain- Chats with the Freak
Shatter Brain are an Adelaide based metal band comprised of members of some of South Australia’s most successful heavy bands. The band draws together an eclectic but coherent range of influences, seamlessly blending fast, razor-tight rhythms with laid back grooves, and boasting diverse vocals that move from ear-piercing highs to sewer-dwelling lows. https://www.shatterbrainmetal.com/
UltraViolent is a four-piece metal band based out of Pine Grove, Pennsylvania.
Formed in September 2014, UltraViolent had a goal in mind to create music they love and share their message with the world as young upcoming artists. UltraViolent started out by performing covers locally to earn the respect of their small hometown. Once UltraViolent knew their direction was taking a more original and heavier turn, they decided to play in cities that catered more to their style of music. In 2016 the band recorded, mixed, and mastered their first EP, “Five”, all by themselves at the age of 16. The band then branched out into cities such as Harrisburg, Lancaster, and Reading to perform their original music. Eventually they were to expand to the surrounding states to perform their captivating live show. By earning the respect of fans with explosive performances and anthem-like riffs, UltraViolent was a name that quickly became recognizable throughout their local scene. In late 2018 the band released their first music video for the song “Insult to Injury”, the first single from their full length release, “Eviction”. The video gathered over 32k views and 200 shares on Facebook within two weeks. UltraViolent followed up their hit with a lyric video for the next single from Eviction, “Hay in the Needlestack (feat. Merritt Frownfelter)”, their first release of 2019. This video gathered over 15k views on Facebook. UltraViolent released their debut album “Eviction” on June 20th, 2019. Eviction is a concept album that describes the timeline between the inception of humanity, our current state of society, and its inevitable end, ultimately done by our own hand.

Ryan Roxie- Chats with the Freak
Between '94 and '96 Roxie worked with various artists. He provided guitar on Gilby Clarke's albums, Pawnshop Guitars, Blooze, The Hangover and Rubber. Roxie also lent his guitar styling to the un-credited work with Tal Bachman. Roxie's guitar work is displayed on the hit single "She's So High" produced by Bob Rock. Roxie played guitar on James Michael's (from Sixx AM) Inhale release as well. In 2000 Roxie also wrote and recorded on Slash's Snakepit's second album Ain't Life Grand.
In 1997 Roxie joined up with long-time friends drummer Mike Fasano and bassist Will Effertz and created the band Dad's Porno Mag. After Effertz left, guitarist Keri Kelli and bassist Stefan Adika joined. The album was released on Wax-Tone Records. This item is now out of stock but was re-released in 2000 from Robinson Records. Produced by Jim Mitchell of Ugly Kid Joe fame and Mark Schulman (Simple Minds) with additional production by Alex Woltman and friend Gilby Clarke. The album has fourteen tracks and one special hidden track entitled "My Bad Knee" on track 77.
Roxie began working with Alice Cooper in 1996 after a few good words were put in for him by Gilby and a shady character known as 'Bobby from Mates' while proving himself in an audition. He was offered a 'one year tour' playing with Alice. His first show with the Cooper band was at Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo club in Cabo San Lucas.
In 2000 Roxie recorded his first studio album with Alice Cooper, Brutal Planet. Through 2000 to 2005 Roxie collaborated with Cooper on several albums including Dragontown, The Eyes of Alice Cooper and Dirty Diamonds, co-writing a number of songs on the latter two albums.

DEMATUS -Chats with the Freak
Passionate about stunning the crowd with her abilities and talents the band is fronted by Jessica, a wide ranging, screaming and operatic stylist. Jessica also plays lead and rhythm guitar reminiscent and inspired by the likes of 80's guitarists Randy Rhoads and Dave Mustaine, along with current guitar virtuoso John 5. In addition Jessica is classically trained flutist and is a lyricist and composer for the band. She has won several awards including The John Phillips Sousa Award and The Marine Semper Fidelis Award.
On the drums, Ryan keeps the band in step with his fierce beats and is a born metronome. Although he had received classical and jazz training in his youth, Ryan's more dominant and ferocious side took over in his teens pulling him into the metal music. Able to read music, play the xylophone, timpani, and percussion instruments, he has been a long time band section leader. His talents being likened to, and inspired by, some of the all time greats such as Terry Bozzio, Carter Beauford, Neil Purt, Will Hunt, and many more.
Self taught bassist, Brian, is undoubtedly the heartbeat and high energy source of the band. Having a natural ear for music, one would definitely call him a raw, yet polished, talent. As Brian would say, he doesn't play under the influence of other musicians. His goal, as a musician, is to simply reach beyond his know talents while striving to find new levels.

Dakota from Another Day Dawns on Chats with the Freak
Another Day Dawns is a high-energy hard rock band that was established in 2010 by drummer Nick McGeehan and guitarist Tyler Ritter of Lehighton, Pennsylvania. Initially performing classic rock covers, the addition of frontman Dakota Sean ignited their evolution into a full-on original act. Writing music at a breakneck pace, the trio quickly generated buzz across the northeast Pennsylvania region. Another Day Dawns earned opening slots for Fuel, Avatar, Sammy Hagar, Godsmack, Puddle of Mudd, Bad Flower, Trapt, Breaking Ben, 5 Finger Deathpunch, Daughtry, and BuckCherry. They band also accompanied former lead singer of Hinder, Austin John Winkler in his 2017 tour. As one of five finalists in the national NeXt2rock competition, Another Day Dawns took the opportunity to play the legendary Viper Room in LA.
Another Day Dawns was signed to M7 Booking Agency in April of 2017 and the band has been writing non-stop ever since, formulating their next masterpiece to share with fans. Although in a creative mindset, Another Day Dawns continues to play shows every week all along Northeast America, including some of their favorite gigs at the Sands Event Center Bethlehem, PA, PennsPeak Jim Thorpe, PA, Musikfest Main Stage Bethlehem, PA, Sherman Theatre Stroudsburg, PA, Montage Mountain Scranton, PA, and Wally’s Hampton Beach, New Hampshire.

Alora of VERY ALORA- Chats with the Freak
Hailing from Poetry, Texas (a small ranching community southeast of Dallas), Very Alora describes her sound as “Classic rock with a modern/punkish/alt twist. I think it’s a little out there, a bit unique if you compare it to the pop sound. But as far as rock n’ roll - I think it fits right in that alt/indie rock pocket.” Listing such classic rockers as Styx and Heart as influences, as well as such modern day bands as Flyleaf and Paramore, Very Alora has her favorites from the forthcoming, yet-to-be-titled EP. “‘Don't Make Me’ and ‘Carbon Copy Jealousy.

Jake from Watch Me Breathe - Chats with the Freak
From the very beginning, Watch Me Breathe has been all about honesty and authenticity. Lead singer Jake Aaron Ward formed the band in 2017 purely out of frustration. “As a solo artist, I just got fed up with trying to write music only to please other people. Watch Me Breathe is really an experiment that says: what would I write if nobody else was listening?”
The results of that experiment have been surprising. In the short time since the release of their debut LP “The Lighter Side of Darkness” in February 2018, Watch Me Breathe has already accrued well over 150K views on YouTube and over 50K streams on Spotify…and the numbers keep growing.
When it comes to making albums, this particular band has an unusual process not unlike that of Tame Impala or Bon Iver: Ward (a proficient multi-instrumentalist) writes, performs, records, mixes, and masters every song entirely by himself, in his own California home studio. He jokingly explains “I just kind of suck at collaborating.” He cites an eclectic range of influences, including Peter Gabriel, The Police, Imogen Heap, Goo Goo Dolls, and a whole slew of underground progressive metal bands that have helped shape his unique guitar parts and complex rhythmic patterns. In concert, the band performs as a power trio, with Ward covering guitar and lead vocals, while bassist Ryan Green and drummer/baby brother Carl Ward handle the rhythm section.
