Meet Meghan Gilroy – Travel and Transformation
As a little girl, nothing could send the same jolt of anticipation and excitement through Meghan Gilroy as these two words. When her mom broadcasted their plans to hit the road, it meant two things: adventure . . . and the end of tax season.
(NOTE: this is a replay of an interview I did with Meghan in 2017 - it is that good!)
Travel and business have always been interwoven in Meghan’s world.
As the daughter of an accountant who owned his own firm, her mom would bundle her and her brother in the back of our station wagon (with rear-facing seats!) to give her dad a breather after long months of crunching numbers.
They covered many states in their family vehicle — which she gleefully colored in on the hand-drawn map. Meghan religiously tracked her goal of visiting all 50 states.
By the time Meghan was in high school, she set my set my sights on traveling to foreign lands in as many fun ways and unusual circumstances as she could dream up.
Infiltrating Russia before perestroika as one of the first Western exchange students? Check.
Touring Europe in a youth orchestra? Her bags are packed!
Backpacking at youth hostels in Australia and New Zealand after college by myself? Done!
Then, in 1998, her love of travel took a whole new twist: traveling afar for deep, inner transformation and healing instead of business or pleasure.
An out-of-control classroom, heartbreak, and betrayal drove her to study with the international best-selling author of The Four Agreements, don Miguel Ruiz.
Over the next decade, she followed don Miguel Ruiz around the world, eventually co-teaching with him, running his international retreat business, and even getting locked into Machu Picchu at night with the llamas! Travel + Transformation have taken her around the globe ever since.

After starring alongside Patricia Arquette and Joey King in Hulu’s 2X Emmy nominated series “The Act,” breakout star Ashley Dulaney is taking Hollywood by storm leading two upcoming feature films Passionflix's first romantic comedy, SEDUCTION & SNACKS, out Thursday, October 28TH, and A TASTE OF LOVE, out in 2022.
Growing up in Tupelo, Mississippi, Ashley knew she was destined to be in front of the camera and took to acting at a very young age while in preschool. Ever since her first role as a caterpillar in a local school production, she caught the acting bug and dedicated her life to her craft. After graduating from high school, Ashley attended and graduated from Ole Miss with a BFA in acting. Ashley made the big move to Los Angeles in 2009 where she began auditioning and taking extra gigs to pay the bills. Ashley got her first big break on FX’s “Justified. Among her other acting credits, Ashley has co-started in Lifetime’s BABYSITTER BLACKBOOK, and later went on to portray the evil ‘Rebecca’ in Lifetime’s THE HOUSE SITTER. Ashley has also worked on popular series including NBC’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” FOX’ “9-1-1-: Lone Star, ABC’s “Scandal,” to name a few.
When Ashley isn’t busy in front of the camera, she loves to work out regularly by hiking or taking aerial yoga classes. Ashley is also a fierce advocate for animal shelters, and has a white rescue cat named Posey Parker, named after one of her favorite actors, Parker Posey, and a black cat named Bella.

Meet Marsha Sims Celebrated Organizer
Sort it out, Inc. Professional Organizing Service evolved from Marsha’s desire to get organized. “It was a personal quest,” said Marsha Sims, founder of Sort-It-Out, Inc.In 1992, Marsha Sims was owner of Sims Realty in Miami Florida. “Hurricane Andrew helped me to make the decision that I wanted to do something else.” Not knowing what to do, Sims met with a professional development coach. “Do this, and you will be really successful” the coach said, handing Sims the application for the National Association of Professional Organizers.
Sims was distraught. “I am holding an application for an organization in my personal area of incompetence.” Years later, Sims recalls that “empathy was my greatest skill in the early years.” Clients appreciated the fact that Marsha would jump right in and learn along with them. Clients were relieved to know that they were not alone, and that they would not be judged because of their lack of neatness. “I used to say, you can do this. I know, because I did it.”

Let me tell you about today’s Guest. "Experience and travel - these are as education in themselves" taught Euripides, the Greek playwright. This doctrine is fundamental to Rosana Santos’ success.
Rosana's drive to become a successful entrepreneur began as a young girl. A Brazilian native raised in the metropolis of Sao Paulo, she obtained her degree in Family Law at PUC-SP. Believing in education beyond the classroom, she traveled, residing in Cali, Colombia and Angola, Africa. In 1991, she moved to Florida. Ultimately, her understanding of different cultures enhanced her knowledge of international business and fed her appreciation of world cuisine.
Inspired by her mother’s accomplishments as an award-winning chef and published cookbook author and her father’s successful attitude and leadership; Rosana decided to combine her business expertise and food interest with Mano Calambichis, her partner, restaurant and people experience; leading to the acquisition of BigChef in November 2003. By 2004, she obtained an MBA in Global Business Management at UOP in Fort Lauderdale.
Rosana firmly believes in integrating with the community. The outgoing entrepreneur has taken on leadership roles in numerous organizations of distinction as well as sponsored several events. From 2015 to 2019 Rosana was President of Women in Ecommerce; she was selected for the First Pathway to Prosperity in the Americas in Washington, DC one of four Americans among women’s entrepreneurs from 14 countries. She has been recognized with many awards from NAWBO to the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce to Broward Alliance and More.
Rosana’s passion for dining extends beyond work to her personal life, making entertaining guests a favorite pastime. In addition to creating tasty treats with her son, Philipe Carvalho, and her husband and partner, Mano Calambichis, she continues to travel, enjoys golf and strolling along the beach.

Charlene grew up in an abusive environment that carried over into her adult life, experiencing brutal violence in relationships and marriage. A Flight Attendant for many years, Charlene is now pursuing a Psychology degree from the University of South Florida (USF) and is also in the process of publishing another book called “Never Again, Finding the Silver Linings”. This entails her lifelong journey and healing process of removing layers of pain and shame from my life. Her non-profit organization, Healing Acres Never Again, Inc. was created as a part of healing from her own tragedy and injustices, to walk alongside others experiencing the same traumas that God helped her walk out of. Prior to Marked Private, Denise worked as an educator for over ten years in the Briarcliff School District, where due to her passion for technology, she applied for numerous grants to bring technology into the classroom and drove the development of the first school-wide technology curriculum. She also represented her district as an advisor and evaluator of technology integration across all curriculum areas and was key in fostering young female students in the STEM program. As one of the few women leaders in the field of technology, Denise has made it her mission to not only inspire girls to create new ways to disrupt small, developing businesses with innovative technologies but also to help make programs accessible to make it happen.

ABOUT Sarah Miller Caldicott:
Sarah has been surrounded by creativity and innovation throughout her life. When she was seven years old, Sarah learned of her unique relationship to her great great aunt Mina Miller, and Mina's world-famous husband, Thomas Edison. Curious about why the Edison phonograph and cylindrical records in her home worked so differently from the small plastic record player that spuns and wax LP's, she wondered, "How did they get this way?"
Intrigued Sarah went on to learn about the accomplishments of Mina Miller Edison's father Sarahâ's great, great grandfather, Lewis Miller (1829-1899) an agricultural equipment inventor whose Buckeye Mower & Reaper dramatically improved the productivity of American farmers in the 1850's and beyond, later inspiring development of the modern Combine Harvester. A recipient of 92 patents, Lewis Miller was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2006, and co-founded the Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, New York in 1874 a place Sarah and her family still visit every year.
Sarah received her MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business, and began her 20-year career as a Marketing executive with brand-driven firms including Pepsico and Unilever. For 12 years, Sarah spearheaded domestic and international rollouts of mass brands including Cycle, Suave, Salon Selectives, and Degree.Desiring to pursue more entrepreneurial projects, in 1998, Sarah established StarWave Associates, a strategic marketing and branding consultancy assisting CEO's and business owners in transforming the growth of their brands. StarWave clients have included DHL Global Mail, Cox Enterprises, Andrx Pharmaceuticals, Shay Financial Services, and Lucent, as well as numerous entrepreneurial firms.''
Sarah spoke to audiences across the country, and leads executive seminars on how to embed Edison's Five Competencies of Innovation in their organizations.' These competencies propelled Edison to generate a record-breaking 1,093 US patents and 1,293 international patents over 62 successive years.

Gina Guadio Graves - the JV Queen

As a JV Broker, Gina often saw millions of dollars being left on the table, over and over again by her clients who refused to listen to her advice … These clients wanted the immediate gratification that a Joint Venture Product Launch could bring, and weren’t interested in doing things the RIGHT way to build a business that would be successful for the long haul if it meant that it would take longer to bring in big dollars.
Gina’s JV’s would bring in millions in a short period of time (often in less than a week!), but a year later, profits from the promotion would be long gone, and Gina’s client would be left wondering where the next dollars were coming from. This usually meant creating yet another new product, and a new product launch.
After having worked long and hard on the first product, most clients just didn’t want to have to create yet another. This not only limited the client’s income, it limited Gina’s as well! In 2007, Gina’s health had declined to the point that doctors gave her only 12 to 18 months to live.
That’s why she hit the road in an RV to see the country before she died. But 6 months later, a massage therapist gaver her a piece of advice that forever changed her life. Not only did it allow her to live, Gina completely recovered! Gina calls this her “miraculous transformation”. She feels that she has been given a huge gift — a second chance at life!
