Ep. 19 2024 Teacher of the Year - Tiffany Perry
Mrs. Perry knew she wanted to be a teacher from a young age and found her home at East Lake Elementary School in 2016. As a fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Perry prides herself on getting to know her students on a deeper level and connecting with them in a safe environment where they can be their authentic selves.

Ep. 18 Framing Your Future with the 2022 Choice Fair
It is our goal at the Osceola County School District to help every child feel welcomed, connected, and successful. That is why our parents and students have the option to attend the school of their choice.
In this episode of Everyday Pace, Adriana Casillas our Supervisor of Educational Choices and Innovation Programs answers the most common questions parents have about the choice process.
On Thursday, November 17th, families are invited to attend the Choice Fair where they can frame their child's future by exploring the programs that cater to their interests and prepares them for the future. We hope to see you there between 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Osceola Heritage Park!

Ep. 17 Free SAT Prep Through Khan Academy that will Improve Testing Outcomes
Several of our students had the opportunity to sit through the SAT during school on Wednesday, October 12th. Those students should be receiving their scores any day now.
Did you know that our students can link their scores in Khan Academy? Elizabeth Hadley joins Dr. Pace on today's episode to talk about how students can take advantage of this awesome and free resource that has proven to increase SAT test scores by at least 39 points after logging at least 20 hours of practice.

Ep. 16 Hurricane Ian Relief
School social worker Kristianna-Kaye White joins Dr. Pace on our newest episode of Everyday Pace to talk about the various relief options available to our families.

Your friendly neighborhood College and Career Counselor, Mr. Anthony Cook, joins Dr. Pace today to talk about College Week.
College Week has become a September tradition in Osceola Schools to promote higher education and career readiness in our schools. Students are encouraged to dress up for our College Week themes:
Monday, September 26th: Matriculation Monday
Many of our seniors are applying to the college of their dreams this fall. As they take this step in continuing their education, you're invited to wear your favorite college colors.
Tuesday, September 27th: Support Our Troops Tuesday
Serving in the military or attending one of their prestigious academies is a choice for many students in our school district. Show your support in this decision by wearing camo or military shirts.
Wednesday, September 28th: What to be Wednesday
The possibilities are endless when it comes to your future career. What trade or career do you have your sights on right now? Show us in what you wear. Be sure to stop by our College and Career website to learn about different career paths.
Thursday, September 29th: Fund Your Future Thursday
How will you pay for your post-secondary choice? Students are encouraged to wear neon colors to promote Florida Bright Futures and other financial aid options.
Friday, September 30th: School Spirit Friday
Getting involved is important for success. Show your school spirit by wearing your favorite spirit shirt and learning about the various activities your school has to offer.

Last year, we were able to implement AVID curriculum and strategies across all of our schools. The nationally recognized program provides schools with the resources and support to help schools measure their success and to increase the number of students who pursue higher education opportunities.

We encourage all of our students to read for 30 minutes a day, especially in the summer when school is out. Today, Dr. Pace talks with Dr. Jeanette Long, a coordinator of Multicultural Curriculum, Instruction, and Compliance. The two discuss how to implement successful reading habits with your children.

Dr. Pace sits down with our school district Teacher of the Year, Ms. Taylor Kuwik, from St. Cloud Elementary. Taylor has been a first grade teacher at St. Cloud for six years. They discuss some of the new leadership roles Taylor has taken on this year as well as the bittersweet end to another school year.

Dr. Pace interviews Cody Workman, who has been named Osceola County's 2022 School-Related Employee of the Year. Cody discusses how he transitioned from the Army to the role of St. Cloud High School's Campus Monitor where he is works hard to keep all students and staff safe while they are on campus.
