Shame Isn't Our Enemy
In this episode, I discuss why shame is necessary. I call us on to examine some of the things we have allowed to happen in our culture because of the lack of shame and how our need to coddle certain behaviors is detrimental to our future.

Easily Offended, Easily Distracted

Raise Your Vibrations, not Your Volume
Raise your words, not your voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder. - Rumi
In this episode, I discuss the downsides of how passion can be misconstrued for aggression while communicating with others. I go on further to talk about how I think masculine and feminine energy could be a factor, and explore how women like myself need to reflect on how much space we take up when our passions take over. Give it a listen and tell me what you think!

Emotional Unavailability
In this episode, I discuss breaking the unhealthy pattern of emotional unavailability with families. Tune in as I explore how the lack of emotional support from parents and not getting proper examples from them on how to navigate the emotional tools needed to build emotional intelligence can hinder children from forming relationships later in life. I also touch on forgiving our parents and how significant it is for the healing process.

Answer Your Calling, Not Your Parents'
In this episode, I continue the Breaking Unhealthy Patterns series with a discussion on the pressures that parents place on their children when they limit their career options. While these career options may work for some, others like myself spend our adulthood finding ourselves and our true passions and interests because we didn't have the opportunity to do so during our youth. Using my own experience, I explore the why behind their intentions and how I intend to take a different approach for the future.

The Weighting Game
In our first episode, I discuss recognizing and breaking unhealthy patterns that are within our control. Using my own life as an example, I address my struggles with weight gain and my renewed commitment to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The "body positivity" movement and its impact on women are also explored.
