Our August 8, 2023 show, first hour, was devoted to the "Jim Blow" brawl in Montgomery between Black riverboat captain, White aggressors and Black reinforcements who struck some blows for justice. We will be talking about an Aug, 22 hearing for three White officers facing weak charges in the horrible death, an ineffective Black prosecutor, a tainted special prosecutor siding with the accused cops according to Greene's loved ones and the Black whistleblower who exploded this case and is fighting for his future.

Alongside this news are on the ground accounts related to the Greene death and continued police abuses of Blacks from Verbon Muhammad of the Nation of Islam in Monroe, La., who has been intricately connected to the case. Louisiana Horror: State troopers beat Black man to death, still no justice

In the final hour of our July 25, 2023 show, we focus on the horrific beating death of Ronald Greene at the hands of Louisiana state troopers, a bungled case against five officers charged in relation to his death that's falling apart, a weak Black district attorney who appointed a White special prosecutor, who is anti-Black and pro-KKK according to family members, cover-ups, White media inaction and a Black mother's plea for help in her fight for justice.

Cephus "Uncle Bobby X" Johnson of the Love Not Blood Campaign joins us again to talk about this modern lynching and racial travesty. He also talks about the suffering of Ronald's mother, Mona Hardin, who has been fighting this case since 2019 with no justice and no end in sight. Where is Joe Biden and his Justice Dept. on this case and a train of abuses against Blacks in Louisiana perpetrated by law enforcement?

Oscar Grant III, a young Black father, was killed in Oakland by a transit cop New Year’s Day in 2009. Oscar III was the nephew of Uncle Bobby, who fought for justice in his killing. Son kills man, defending his mother and GOD mentoring

In our final hour originally broadcast June 27, 2023, we continue interview with youth mentors Ahmad Muhammad and Darryl Muhammad of the Gentlemen of Distinction (G.O.D.), who serve the Chicagoland area in city and suburban schools. Vital information and inspiration.

We were joined by Naimah Latif, Chicago-based journalist and head of On Air and On Air Daily News (www.onaireverywhere.com), an independent Black media platform. She offered reporting, analysis and led a discussion about on the case of a Black woman initially charged with murder after her teenage son shot a man who attacked his mother. Prosecutors dropped the charges after video showed the woman being assaulted and the 14 year old coming to her defense with a weapon legally owned by his mother.

Video captured Jeremy A. Brown punching Carlishia Hood before the son intervened, killing her attacker. Ms. Hood has filed a $4 million lawsuit against the city of Chicago and five police officers.

Lawyers say Ms. Hood was falsely arrested, maliciously prosecuted and suffered emotional distress. "On June 18 of this year, my life changed, my son's life changed," Ms. Hood said during a press conference at her lawyer's office.

Justice for Ronald Greene Pt2

Justice for Ronald Greene Pt2

Continued interview with Mona Hardin, mother of Ronald Greene, came on the show to talk about the police killing of her son three years ago. In 2019, five officers, including Louisiana state troopers were indicted on minor charges in the death of the 49 year old Black man. He was violently beaten while unarmed and not resisting officers during what authorities said was a traffic stop. Ms. Hardin details her struggle for justice, which she has been denied from the beginning, the lies, the coverups and what looks like will be a flawed, failed prosecution. This is a travesty but this brave mother is still in the fight and we continue to tell her story. Joining her in the interview and her struggle are Student Minister Verbon Muhammad of Monroe, La., and Cephus "Uncle Bobby" X Johnson of the Love Not Blood Campaign. Listen and stay tuned to keep following this important and ignored case.

GENTLEMEN OF DISTINCTION (G.O.D.)

Also we have a conversation with Ahmad Muhammad and Darryl Muhammad of Gentlemen of Distinction, a Chicago-area mentoring group that serves young Black men and young women as well. They talk about their work, the proper development of Black males and why we don't need to despair for our children if we will invest in them and serve them. Powerful testimony here!

90 Birth Anniversary Tribute Show to The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan

90 Birth Anniversary Tribute Show to The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan marked his 90th birth anniversary on May 11 by feeding more than 2,000 people both physical and spiritual food over a four-day span.

Like his Teacher, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the Minister does not believe in birthday celebrations. However, Minister Farrakhan decided to mark the occasion by providing 1,000 meals to people in need throughout the city of Chicago, including a hearty meal served at Salaam restaurant for friends, family and Believers.

After the meal of lamb, salmon and stuffed eggplant at Salaam restaurant, guests headed to Mosque Maryam where the Minister, adorned in a black pinstripe suit and matching bow tie, spoke about the reward of faith, the promise of Allah (God), living for the glory of Allah (God), the danger of vanity, and much more.

This milestone anniversary marks a turning point in the Nation of Islam. “This is a day to be remembered, to be celebrated. It’s a holy day. It’s a sacred day. And from this day forward, every May 11 will be celebrated as a Holy Day, holiday in the Nation of Islam,” said Student Minister Ishmael Muhammad to the applause and cheers of attendees at Mosque Maryam minutes before the Minister took to the stage. The special program was broadcast live via internet on noi.org.

The Love and Language of Louis Farrakhan

The Love and Language of Louis Farrakhan

The Love and Language of Louis Farrakhan

by Naba’a Muhammad and Daniel X

In nearly 70 years of public life, Minister Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam has spoken to millions of people inside and outside of America, offering millions of words filled with guidance, insight, wisdom and a divine perspective.

Yet for all the truth that he speaks and the good he has done, his words are continually taken, twisted, miscast, recast and regurgitated back to the public and leaders. It is a sick display of purposeful deception and lies designed to serve evil purposes – and derail the hope that millions of the children of ex-slaves will rise, breathe easily, and enjoy a full and complete freedom.

Anti-Semitism and the Souls of Black Folks

Anti-Semitism and the Souls of Black Folks

During an interview from his home in North Philadelphia, sociologist and W.E.B. Du

Bois historian Dr. Anthony Monteiro responded critically to a recent attack by the Simon

Wiesenthal Center concerning the scholarship of Dr. Du Bois.

Du Bois is the first Black Harvard graduate to receive a PhD, and if compared to

influential musicians, one would immediately think of America’s greatest composer and

orchestra leader, Duke Ellington. “The Duke,” as he was affectionately known in the

music world, was second to none, and the compositions he left us span three-quarters of

a century and chronicle the American Dream, which Langston Hughes called “a dream

deferred,” for many of this country’s citizens suffer discrimination to this very day.

Du Bois’s book The Philadelphia Negro (1899) defined Black life in Philadelphia’s

seventh ward during the turn of the century; his classic work The Souls of Black Folk

(1903) was one of the first eyewitness testimonies describing the nature of the

Black–Jewish relationship; his 600-page study called Black Reconstruction (1935)

clarified the conditions of post-slavery African-Americans; and his book Black Folks

Then and Now (1939) predated the Northern African controversy in its explanation of the

ethnicity of the Northern Sudanese. All the above attests to Du Bois’s unequaled

scholarship and his ability to give thoroughly researched clarity where prior to that

speculation and racial innuendo were the order of the day.

For the Simon Wiesenthal Center to make the recent claim that this scholar-turned-

activist, whose prescriptions for Black development took center stage in the pages of the

NAACP’s Crisis Magazine, had at one time been “under the influence of the genteel anti-

Semitism he absorbed at Harvard and German universities,” is not only unscrupulous,

but, as Monteiro said, “a bunch of horse crap.”

The Truth About Saviours’ Day & the Anti-Black ADL Assault

The lies, slander and intimidation are flowing hot and heavy from the anti-Black @ADLMidwest working to defame and destroy the Nation of Islam’s Saviours’ Day convention at McCormick Place, Metro Pier & Exposition Authority-owned arena and the Wintrust Arena. @ADLMidwest wrote salacious lies in concert with others about this beautiful event and the Minister’s words.

The Saviours’ Day convention will run February 23-26 in Chicago, the headquarters for the Nation of Islam.
