#010: The strategy that changed the game of my teaching sessions
Today, I want to let you in on the one strategy that's made the biggest difference in improving my workshops and teaching sessions—it's what I call the "Secret Assistant" approach.
It totally flipped how I engage with people in my live sessions. It's like a whole new game now, especially with spontaneous interactions. And it's made my presentations a ton better.
In this Virtual Audiences Podcast episode, you're gonna get an inside look at how I pull this off—the tools I use, the communication system I've set up. This lets me get messages from my assistant and shoot messages back without getting sidetracked from my presentation. I'll show you how I put this two-way communication into action, in real life. Stuff like:
- Jumping on any good opportunity to interact that pops up in the chat.
- Watching out for and dealing with any tech hiccups that happen during the presentation—like sound or video glitches.
- Making sure I'm staying on track with what I want to cover in the presentation, so nothing important gets missed, whether that's an exercise or a key part of what I'm saying
I can't recommend this enough. Plus, it's super affordable—you just need a buddy, someone who doesn't even have to be tech-savvy, to watch your sessions as a participant and give you live feedback. Anyone can learn to do this, it's a breeze. And, trust me, it can truly take your workshops and teaching sessions to a whole new level!

#008: Fixing problems in your virtual presentations
I recently faced some issues with my setup that were causing various problems during my mentoring sessions, like cameras turning off, computer behaving strangely, and screen lag. 👀
It was tremendously frustrating because they would only occur when I was live with the class, never during the test sessions I run before every presentation I do.
In today's podcast episode, I'll show you how I used the binary search method to solve the mystery about my equipment going crazy—what was causing all the trouble and why they were only happening during the live sessions. 🕵️
Using the binary method boosts my confidence and helps me manage my studio more effectively. So, if you're grappling with a problem, the podcast episode is now available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
Give it a listen, put this strategy into action, and let me know how it works for you. I look forward to connecting with you again in the next episode!

#007: How I'm supercharging my teaching experience on Zoom
Creating a teaching environment that is engaging and interactive on Zoom is not so easy as it looks. Zoom is primarily designed for meetings. While you can use its features for your teaching purposes, they are mainly optimized for meeting interactions. You can share your screen, a video, and more, but it does require a bit of time, involving two, three clicks. This is really annoying, yet acceptable for a meeting. But, when you're in front of an audience, teaching, selling, or performing, it's a totally different context. People are watching you, and everything needs to be timely, effortless, and interactive. In today's podcast episode, I share with you my ways to optimize Zoom for virtual audience experiences: 👉How I do my slideshows and screen shares 👉How I use the chat to effectively engage with the audience while keeping them focused on the presentation 👉The tools I use to create a seamless experience 🔓And a bonus strategy I'm implementing on the Inside The Show program— how I use a live Word Cloud to interact with the audience and make them co-creators of the experience If you're dedicated to creating a better learning environment in your Zoom sessions, this is one episode you don't want to miss 👀 KEY LINKS MENTIONED Social Stream Ninja: https://socialstream.ninja/ Slido: https://www.slido.com/ WHO AM I I'm Felippe, the creator of Inside The Show, a community-powered program where I teach performers, presenters, trainers, and coaches how to put together incredible interactive virtual experiences on Zoom. #006: Unleash the Excitement in your Zoom Sessions
So, we all know that a lot of things have moved online, but how do you keep the excitement alive? How do you make it more than just another boring meeting
Well, I've got some insider tips to share with you today. Things I’ve learned exploring the world of interactive audience experiences for the past three years in the Inside the Show program.
We've been doing some mind-blowing stuff on Zoom that people didn't even know was possible. And in this latest episode of the Virtual Audiences Podcast, I spill the beans on some strategies that can turn your Zoom session into a truly unique and exciting experience. Ready to dive in?
Let's start with the pre-game. Believe it or not, the session actually begins before it officially starts. Picture this: you're running a group session on Zoom. The invitation is the first impression people get of your event, right? So, let's make it special. We're talking about creating an invite that feels more like an invitation to a cool event rather than a mundane meeting.
During the podcast I tell you about Luma, the tool I personally use for crafting awesome invitations. It's a free tool that lets you design beautiful calendar invites for your sessions. You can add images, videos, and even show the names of those who RSVP'd. Trust me, it'll make a difference!
Next up, let's talk resolution. By default, Zoom delivers standard definition (360p) video, which is not exactly top-notch and your HD camera is likely being underutilized. I'll show you how to upgrade your video resolution to HD. This simple step will give your sessions a clearer and more professional look, impressing your audience along the way.
After that, we move on to making a powerful first impression by setting up an entrance for your participants. We want to go beyond the regular meeting vibe. When people join your session, you want them to be greeted with something captivating, not a blank screen. I'll share some tips on sharing videos, adding animations, countdown timers, and more. It's all about creating that professional touch and setting the stage for an extraordinary experience.
And if you really want to take things up a notch, I've got one word for you: OBS. Using OBS Studio is the secret weapon that will add that extra touch of magic to your session. Seamless transitions between cameras, videos, and screens? Check. Engaging and captivating your audience? Double check.
Last but not least, understanding Zoom workflows is key to keeping your sessions on point. As you know, Zoom is designed primarily for meetings, so it's essential to know how to make it an audience-friendly environment. In this episode you'll learn about the Zoom workflows that can help you to maintain focus and clarity during the session.
So, that's the scoop! The podcast episode is now available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Give it a listen, put these strategies into action, and watch your Zoom sessions reach new heights! Good luck, and have a blast!

#003: Unlocking Zoom's Hidden Quality Settings
If you are using Zoom to engage with audiences, whether for a training session, a show or a presentation, you know how important it is to have good audio and image quality. However, what Zoom won't tell you is that, by default, they reduce your quality because this is not something the majority of Zoom users are concerned about. As a performer, coach, or presenter, YOU have to care about this and ensure that your audience is seeing you at the maximum quality possible.
After 24 months of investigation and conversations with Zoom, I have discovered everything you need to know to ensure that you are at the highest quality possible when you are in front of a virtual audience. I'm sharing everythign I learned with you today in this episode to help you establish trust and get your message across clearly.
Do not skip this step or you will be throwing money away!

#002: Virtual Studio Setup: How to Achieve Professional Image Quality on Zoom
Having a professional image quality on Zoom is crucial for building trust and engagement with your audience. When people join a Zoom session they make quick decisions: should I trust this person? Should I participate actively? Should I do what they say?
A professional image quality conveys that you are an expert in your field and instills trust in your audience, making them more likely to listen to you and engage with your content.
If they perceive you as professional, they will be open to participate, to interact and be open to DO what you want them to do.
Having an engaged audience is the single most important thing you want to have as a presenter, performer, coach or educator.
But "throwing money at it" is NOT the best solution when it comes to deciding what gear to buy when you want to improve your image quality—I'll tell you the many mistakes that I made beacuse I didn't belive this 😅
Hit play and learn the different factors that influence your image quality beyond the obvious such as "getting a better camera", what are things worth investing on and what you should definetly avoid spending your money on.
