JESUS CALM THE STORM

Serious need for prayer for the believer.  Knowing that prayer is tremendously important, how should one treat their prayer time?

Hallelujah! He is risen! Welcome to the most wonderful celebration of the year. Today we celebrate together the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. More than two thousand years ago, God’s plan of redemption altered the world forever. The power of sin and death was broken through the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ that first Easter. Death was defeated. True life, spiritual life, God’s life triumphed.

Today is the culmination, the climax, the summit, the conclusion of our series, the Road to the Cross.

Knowing that during the suffering and mocking of Jesus, God was still in control.  

Knowing that God went through this much suffering, we should live for Him. 

As we continue with our series, "Road to the Cross." I entitled our message, God on Trial as we read from the account of Mark, when Jesus faced the Sanhedrin. Let's all stand for the reading of the word of God. 

GOD KNOWING EVEN OUR DEEPEST SIN AND FLAW(S) HE STILL CAME DOWN TO DIE FOR US BECAUSE WE NEEDED HIM AND HE LOVED US.

The death of Jesus is fulfillment of the Bible's prophecies. 

As we continue in our series, "God Knows", where we study and remind ourselves of God Omniscience- All Knowing. In our first Wednesday we discuss the general meaning or point, why we Christians should give this character and truth about our God. For the second one, we discussed that this truth about Him should give us peace in times of trouble or difficulties in life.

Tonight, we will discuss it again by applying it to Him knowing about all our flaws and failures, yet He still forgives. Let's unpack Hebrews 4:12-13

As we continue with our series, Road to the Cross, where we journey through the events prior to our Lord Jesus giving His life to die on the cross for the payment of mankind sins against God, tonight, we will unpack the event in the Garden of Getsemane as we read it in the account of Matthew.

Knowing that God knows all things should give us, believers peace in any and all circumstance or difficulty that we are in.

Actions truly speak louder than words. 

God created human beings for relationship with Him and others. For a Christian to grow intimately with the Lord, one MUST be prayerful.

- God knows all things.  God is OMNISCIENT- He knows the past, present, and the future. Knowing this about God should affect our beliefs, actions, and our prayer life.

The Road to the Cross Series

Despite not having every answer during times of grief, we can be encouraged, knowing that when we hurt, Jesus hurts. We can trust God during difficult times because he sees and knows our pain.

In order to truly understand God's love we must read His word. 

God loves us even after we fall.

In a moment of desperation God revealed himself through a gentle whisper to Elijah, assuring the prophet that though the Lord does not always operate in the realm of the spectacular, obedience to God’s calling is never in vain. Though sometimes we are tempted to give up in the face of difficult circumstances, God has not left us alone.

When we have doubts about our faith, Jesus calls us to examine the evidence for Christianity's reliability. We can bring our doubts to God and our community of faith.

All love begins with God's love. Today we will be starting a new series about love from a Biblical standpoint. 

Sometimes we struggle to pray because we are discouraged. We will look into the book of Psalms for examples of praying through discouragement.

Everyone might already be looking towards the promise of 2019, but are we missing God's point for the past year?

Year after year, we celebrate Christmas—but are we failing to focus on the real reason for this season?

Sometimes we think there is a sign that we need to see before we can truly surrender to God.

     But as we see there is no greater sign than God sending His one and only Son to be born on this earth to live and die for us. The Christmas season is much more than a happy holiday, but a day of remembrance. Don’t just do it as lip service but truly repent and believe.

'Tis the season and as we kick off this Christmas season we look at the reactions of different people in hearing about the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

    We hear this message each year, but has our reaction changed? Have we tried to fit the world in with the church instead of the church going into the world? Listen in as we tackle this and much more!
