Maja Puškarić is a LinkedIn expert and personal branding coach based in Vienna, Austria. In her main story, a client tried to play hardball and halve a more than generous price, and ended up getting rejected. Maja simply refused any money for the job rather than to be insulted by the price.

Claus Raasted: Rockstar consultant - High hopes, low yield deal
Claus Raasted is the author of 42 books, as well as a rockstar consultant and speaker based in Denmark who works as an external advisor to McKinsey as a side hustle. During negotiations about the financials of a possible "big break" in Abu Dhabi, Claus made two pricing mistakes, one of which was rendered insignificant by the size of the other, and ended up disappointed. This case is a very illustrative cautionary tale of the best-intentioned, stars-in-your-eyes deal-making that scarred many a passionate expert's career.
*Questions answered in this episode:
- How do you know your generosity is not going to backfire?
- Why does the "If we sell at least 20% of that, we are good" logic usually let us down?
- Why is having passion and skill sometimes not enough to make good things happen?
- How can politely offering your best price first be seen as disrespectful and amateurish?

Deb King is a transformational master coach of coaches based in Sydney, Australia with over 20 years of experience. She helps clients transform themselves and their programs but found that once the transformation is done and they looked at the bill, a lot of the value they got during the process was forgotten. Pair that with the difficulty to explain the value of a personal change to someone who has yet to go through it, and she had a real problem charging her worth.
*Questions answered in this episode:
- Why what you are selling is the solution to the symptom the client sees, rather than the real underlying problem that you sense is causing the symptom
- Why do people have the instinct to pay more attention to advice that cost them more
- What's the only condition for a price to be fair to both parties
