She competed at the collegiate level in both volleyball and soccer and played volleyball professionally in Switzerland for 4 years. She spent the 9 years working as an active travel guide leading hiking and cycling adventures in over 15 countries around the world. When the pandemic ground her stateside, she helped co-found Color the Water, an organization that provides free surf lessons to the BIPOC communities of Los Angeles. She is also a member of Team Onyx, the first all-black adventure racing team.
