Now that it's officially June, my kids are out of school and my work schedule has to shift and looks a bit different. It feels like I went from sprinting in my business, then starting to hit the burnout phase, and now I am worried about slowing down and losing my momentum. Oh the life of an entrepreneur and mom.

157: Is Wellness Culture Making Us Sick

Orthorexia is a moral or righteous fixation on consuming “pure” and “clean” foods.
Everywhere now a days and especially online with celebrities and social media influencers seem to be talking about a detox or cleanse they are doing. But what actually are they detoxing from and why do they actually need to do a cleanse? This episode sheds light on a new way to look how "clean" eating and living "toxin free" can actually be hurting some people.
There is a rise in disordered eating among females aged 35+ and women well into their 40's, 50's, and 60's that never had any issues before.
Also in this episode Nikki talks about her own personal experience with following the Medical Medium protocols and jumping on the celery juice bandwagon.
Nikki encourages everyone to listen to their own bodies and remember everyone is different.
