Good Afternoon! Twas the night before Christmas (or like a couple nights but who is counting?) and we're here just rambling about Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds in Spirited. I'd say that's par for the course except this time... there's singing! Dun dun dun.

Spooky season movie round two! Why not bring the Sanderson Sisters back from the... grave? Did they die in the first one? Honestly, our resident expert will have to go into more detail this week, which is not I, the writer of this beautiful description.

Flash from the past, The Munsters have made it back to 1313 Mockingbird Lane. All via a whole zombie trip to get there with shenanigans all along the way.

Now first off, who needs to watch the first film in a series? It's overrated. We just hopped right into the chaos on this one! And as an FYI, no wolves were harmed in the making of this film or podcast.

Did you ever hear the success of Flipper Flix the podcast? I thought not.  It’s not a story a listener would tell you. It’s a podcaster's legend. Flipper Flix was a Dark Lord of the Podcast, so powerful and so wise they could use their remote to influence the television to show movies… They had such a knowledge of the streaming services that they could even keep the shows they cared about from canceling. The dark side of the remote is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. They became so powerful… the only thing they were afraid of was losing their power, which eventually, of course, this story ends happily ever after going to Little Italy. And there was nothing more to be said on that place.

We saw this episode definitely succeeding in the future. That's what the movie taught us for sure. Also, we find out that we've watched a week's worth of movies simply for the pod?!?

Who'd think it'd be harder to have any choice than it would be to have an actual category? Like you'd think that you can just be like boom that movie, but nah it's not that easy. Had to go back to the top hundy list to get Dog Soldiers, plus it's been brought up half a dozen times so yeah. Here. We. Go.

Who puts the glad in gladiator? Flipper Flix! Cause like we did Gladiator already ya know? So now we're doing the Legend of Hercules where he fights as a Gladiator, but like... is a demi-god so he should just wreck everyone. That'd be logical.

If we could write this in song and dance form, we totally would. But alas, we cannot. So you get our simple standard shenanigans with this episode on Grease! Which it is not called Greased, yet the song is Greased Lightning and not Grease Lightning. Straight Facts.

If you like creepy eye torture, if you like weird outfits with jockstraps on the outside, then boy do we have an episode for you. Not to mention the discussion about all of the artwork throughout A Clockwork Orange. There's just so much of it in the film. Everywhere you look, erotic art. It's quite bizarre.

Well come on down the bayou where you can have shrimp every-which-way! You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh,  shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried,  stir-fried. Go back to 1899 where massive submarines fit in the canals of Venice, Italy and on board it has Captain Nemo, Dorian Gray, Mina Harker, Dr. Jekyll / Mr. Hyde, Sean Connery... errr.... Allan Quatermain, Agent Tom Sawyer? and an invisible man. Not to be confused with the Invisible Man. All these fairy-tale people (minus one of them who will not be named here) team up against Dr. Moriarty. That alone sounds bonkers!

We've found it, the lost treasure of the Water Wizz! All we had to do was travel to the park in a station wagon and take ourselves down the water slide. While we made our way through slide, we had to get past three children, Vladimir, Ishmael and Ming Lee. They were blocking the way and we had to get around them. Sounds easier said than done, but alas what happens in the tube stays in the tube.

Let's take a trip, and we mean a literal trip, there space and time. Catch like 8 different stories that are all kind of connected, but like are they really? And you'll get to hear some heavy metal. You might just hear some classic rock though, depends who's asking.

Or even The Goldfinch, check back in our episode log and you'll see that we already did that one! Instead of all of that, we watched the start of the Dutch Godfathers playing Frogger through the city of Amsterdam.

Everybody gather 'round, we're going to figure out this murder right quick! We'll need you all to plead your case as to why you're not the werewolf, who you think it is, and you know... just for mythological sake, your lineage. Yes, we want to know if you're the seventh son of the seventh son, or the seventh son of the seventh son of the seventh son, and so forth!

Why does everyone who gets finds an alien lifeform feel the need to stress it out? Sometimes it just wants to sleep for eternity, ya know? It's cool though we have quarantine protocols for it. We have firewalls set up right?.... Right???

Nicholas Sparks was sitting around his alma matar, University of Notre Dame, watching some sportsball when it dawned on him. What if he made a book (where it will for sure have a movie) about a guy who was in the military, but is eventually drawn to a girl that he's never met. We had to borrow the Nautilus from Captain Nemo to find this sunken treasure of a film. Or is it cursed like in Pirates of the Caribbean? We're not quite sure, but this shark definitely had some spooky ghost vibes to it. That and the mom in this film had a 6th sense where she could sense the shark and see clips from the original film.

Last night as we were recording, we came across this gem of a film entitled "Evolution" and with crazy quotes which we've fortunately committed to memory: "Whoa, Doc! Don't take the leg! Ira, don't let them take my leg.", "Isn't there anything else you can do? He thinks he's an athlete.", "Nursing school? Don't you think you'd be happier in a different profession, one where people's lives were not dependent on you?", "Give me back my friend you big sphincter!", and many many more.

Who needs to watch the first film in a series? Not us apparently. Jumping right into a world where, what seems like, half the actors in the UK are hanging out with a little bear, Paddington. It'd probably would've helped to watch the first one seeing how we were utterly confused as to why and how he got his way from South America to streets of London. 

Hey kid, as long as you've got your chewing gum and your jet-pack, you too can defeat the Nazis in their zeppelins that somehow made it all the way over to LA. Don't forget Lurch... or someone who makes us think of him at the very least. You'll have to take him out too. Be careful though, this guy just be making sandwiches out of folks.

We had to dive deep into our pool movies to pick out one that we were somewhat excited to revisit. We decided The Descent, a horror movie that is about the least scary word possible: spelunking. It's just way too fun to say to be scary. That being said, if you find yourself deep within some caverns make sure to loot any corpses you come upon because they might have some extra tools on the body (e.g. an ice pick, rope).

Attention all fighters, Mortal Kombat begins in 3... 2... 1.... FIGHT! If you enjoy a good ole fashioned gory beat-em-up film, then whoa buddy do we have a film for you.

Welcome to the Flipper Flix Video Store, would you like to rent a nice Marvel movie or are you looking at going with the off-brand DC films? They're super cheesy and many of the times they don't make sense. And hey, on top of that, you might be thinking you're going to get fight scenes that are honestly just boring.

Flipper Flix, I don't think we're in Duckworld anymore. And to be honest, it doesn't look like Cleveland even though everything in Howard The Duck claims it is in fact there. In this thrilling adventure up on in The Land there are scenes galore that you're left wondering they made it to the final cut of a nearly two hour film. Some might even nap during one of them and when they wake it'll be the same scene.

If you ever felt like watching a movie that made you feel like you had squirrels for brains, then we have a film for you. Diving into Terry Gilliam's The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, we found ourselves saying "I don't know what's going on here" quite often. While some may be like that's not for me, others would say let's get weird. And clearly Adam is one of those since he's been talking about this film for the last 49 episodes.

In a world like none other, there are these things. Some say they are wild things. Others say they are cute. And then there is us. Who think they are suuuuuuuuuuper creepy. Seems like we're in the minority though. There's also (what seems like) some deep symbolism going on here that was not present in the book. So there's that going on too.

Hopefully everyone has their sea legs for this because it's gonna be a bumpy ride!

What happens after a horror movie? Like, describing these events to someone who wasn't directly involved in them seems ludicrous right? Oh hey, yeah that dude who died was killed by a ghost demon lady who lived in someone's head but only came out in the darkness. Totally seems legit.

It's March 23rd, 2018. Fans of giant monster vs. giant mecha movies are going to theaters in droves. Many were surprised with how good the first film was and were excited to see the sequel. Much to their dismay it was... ummm yeah. It was ummm yeah, that's it. So we're rising up to the occasion to see how it fairs three years later.

As a fair warning to all of listeners, we may have borrowed some of the language from Goodfellas. So you might hear quite a bit of cursing from these wiseguys, especially around the 20 minute mark. The first to let us know the the amount of f-bombs we drop on Instagram or Twitter will get a prize sent their way! We highly doubt it'll be anywhere near the 300+ that is said in this film though.

Should I stay or should I go now? If I go, there will be trouble. And if I stay it will be double. So come on and let me know. Wait, wait, wait, hold up here. This is a bit backwards right? Like there's totally more radiation outside than inside... we think... One thing is for sure though, there's definitely some radiation in LA in Night Into Day, and we're not sure if it would be better to stay inside or try and get as far away as you can from ground zero! 

Flipper Flix is more than a podcast, it's an adventure. While here, you will learn quite a few things, but probably not because Zoombies is one of those movies. But things such as: are these actually zoombies or infected zoo animals? Did Matthew Lillard actually do one of the giraffe puppets? And, are AJ's shorty shorts too short? At the very least will be discussed throughout this episode.

When it comes to movies with monsters massacring everyone in sight, where do you typically align? With the people trying to survive or the monsters? Because if you choose the monsters, you can join our family and root for some gruesome deaths like in Pitch Black. Don't forget that the most important thing in life will always be family. Ahhhh shoot, wrong Vin Diesel movie again!

Ah man, if you missed our episode this week it's too bad. We did real good, should've seen us. We discovered everyone is a bum which is definitely an old, but new insult if you want to use that. Also, we figured out what's going to go on our first shirt, YEAHPSOLUTELY! 

There will be movies. There will be reviewing. There will be Flipper Flix. We like to think of ourselves as a podcast. And as a podcast, we hope that you'll forgive just good old-fashioned plain speaking. We watch movies of all sorts, sometimes even, There Will Be Blood. And on those viewings, they might take upwards to 2 hours and 38 minutes, maybe even further. Then we sit down to discuss all the aspects of the film we liked and the parts we took beef with.

Whoa buddy! We were in a ride this week with the film Malang - Unleash the Madness. From characters doing drugs to see if they were a temporary fling to the epic staches, Bollywood gave us a treat.

All rise for the honorable Flipper Flix Algorithm. It will lead us not in temptation of our feelings, but will bring us to a scientific conclusion about Die Hard. Christmas movie or not. Taking the side of naysayers is Sam, while Tim believes it truly is a Christmas film. Through many many quotes read by Tim, our algorithm helps us figure out what we believe is the correct answer in this debate. Reason will prevail!

Attention, there is a new drinking game for this one. Every time we say corn, take a sip. May the odds be ever in your favor, cause they likely won't be at the beginning of this episode. Then it will allow you to join us on the roller coaster of emotions and deep thoughts throughout the journey in Interstellar.

Everyone comes to Flipper Flix for one of the thousands of Casablanca discussions... errr wait... We mean everyone comes to Rick's. Yeah, that sounds better. We're not sure if it's for the spicy romances or if it's to hang out in casino with a corrupt cop, but everyone sure as hell likes to go to Rick's Cafe.

Thank you Jim Cunningham for allowing everyone to find this episode on Donnie Darko through the creepy goo blob worm things. You also taught us some grammar lessons throughout the journey and how it takes two to spoon...erism. And last but not least, thank you for bringing us Sparkle Motion. They're the gift that keeps on giving.

Is it game time yet? We're going to go with not yet, but maybe? Who knows. It's probably an answer that the Grand Gobble Marshalls would know except one of them is currently hosting her cat's birthday party so we'll have to get back to you on that. It could possibly take longer to watch this entire movie though so if you're dying to know, we're sorry.

***Warning***Warning***Warning*** The cloud is accelerating! Yes, everyone, the four words you were waiting to hear. The. Cloud. Is. Accelerating. And it's filled with beefs, barfs, and plenty of poop questions from us when we watched the 2005 version of Fantastic Four. 

In the award winning film War Horse, you follow Joey, a young thoroughbred... hard stop right there. Joey? That's the name they went with? We totally could have come up with something better than that right? Especially for a horse as cursed as this one. Something much more maniacal sounding would have fit... like Lucifer if you wanted to stick with a human-esque name. And yes this comes up often throughout this episode.

We're back on our journey through Nightmareland from Little Nemo this week, except not really. That being said, Tim's nightmares of David Bowie's David Bowie-ness, and his extra tight pants, did appear when we found ourselves lost in Jim Henson's feature film Labyrinth. And of course we couldn't refrain from discussing some of Jim Henson's Muppets and friends from the street. The puppet-work in this movie was phenomenal and we were doing our best impressions of the creatures you see throughout the film... probably too much... because what's a puppet without a ridiculous voice?

Whatever you do, do not stare at their mouths! Now that's a spooky message to see before watching a film. And it bodes 100% true with Monster Family... or is it Happy Family? We're still not sure after watching this one and doing a little digging afterwards. We think it might be both. Both is good. From an endless bouncing Baba Yaga to a superhero, dancing, singing version of Dracula, this one has some interesting takes on monsters. Albeit, we were happy to see four of the classic monsters brought together from the very start!

Madagascar 2 shockingly fit the categories of "lion" and "super soaker" and has so many lovable characters. In between praising Moto Moto and King Julien, we lay tons of animal facts on you... Just wait till you hear the one about wildebeests! Whether or not you're new to the Madagascar franchise or you're a seasoned vet, we still think you'll have a zesty time with this episode.

Back at it again with the real questions! Do gargoyles poop???.... Yeah we went there... a lot. Also, if you're attracted to Frankenstein's monster, does that make you a necrophiliac? Simply put, we had a hard time talking about this movie without going on tangents which in itself should tell you the quality of this film.

Does anyone actually know the etiquette when attending drum circles? Like can you be late or nah? Maybe it's different in Chile than it is in the US? One could say we were a bit lost. And outside of the city names and a few other miscellaneous Spanish words, our monolingual selves required the subtitles to be on at all times. There were points where we were curious if the gals were using some Chilean/Spanish slang throughout the film. Looking at you fetus face, or is it baby face? Still unclear.

Yeah, yeah, yeah! From digging through trash and kids being kids, this movie has it all. Yeah! If you ever have felt like you're a tearable artist, wait till you see the symmetry on Anna's house she draws in her school composition book. Yeah! And don't worry, fans of Spongebob will feel right at home when some of us (aka all three of us) feel like Doodlebob's idea was inspired from this film. Yeah!

For a movie about alchemy, this has surprising very little. One of the few times you see it is when Ed and Al are trying to reincarnate their mother... with lime? That makes no sense ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ You know what also doesn't makes sense about this movie? The number of times they say homunculus doesn't feel like it lives up to the counts you get from a single episode of the anime. Don't worry, we probably said it more in this episode so all you fans of the original series will feel at home.

Regardless of what you may think of a normal story, the main character is not the MVP here. We also think the main character, Theo, needs some hobbies outside of doing drugs, like maybe reading collections from one of his favorite authors (*cough*Edgar Allen Poe*cough*cough*).  Maybe he could collect his own starter pack of fancy-schmancy artwork for the future... but do it legally ya know? Clearly we were not impressed by Theo's shenanigans in The Goldfinch. We're wrong sometimes though...

Hold onto your Dollar General cactus, fam! This episode sparkles! We drug Tim into the first Twilight film under false pretenses since they never actually eat breakfast. Apparently, vamp-kids only eat lunch and dinner ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
