Healing The Narcissistic Mother Wound-With Brooke Bownes

Healing The Narcissistic Mother Wound-With Brooke Bownes

In this episode, I sat down for a chat with Brooke Bownes about how the unhealed mother wound runs deep for her and the women she coaches. She shared openly with me about her experiences and how healing has led her to a life full of joy and gratitude.

Brooke is an accredited trauma coach, therapist, and global No.1 bestselling author. She works with midlife women who struggle with mother wounds and childhood trauma and want to heal those wounds, find their power, and confidence and release their trauma so they can go for their goals. Brooke is very passionate about this area as she too once felt powerless and was scared to show up in the world as herself. Then she started working on her own mindset, discovered who she was, and loved the feeling of inner contentment and confidence to transform from being scared to speaking on stage.

A bit about Brooke, she had an abusive relationship growing up with a narcissistic mother, then moved on to two abusive adult relationships, she's been homeless and brought up 4 children single-handedly. Her experience had given her a unique way of understanding people where they are and helping them to find their power. Now, Brooke lives in a beautiful house with her husband and runs a successful business while having fun on adventures in their campervan.

Thriving! Life After 30 Years with A Narcissist-With Gina Blundell

Thriving! Life After 30 Years with A Narcissist-With Gina Blundell

In this episode, I had a lovely chat with Gina Blundell about the amazing work she is doing to help women move forward after long-term abusive marriages. She shared with me her story of leaving her narcissistic ex-husband after nearly 30 years of marriage and how she turned her pain into passion to help others move forward.

Gina Blundell is a coach that helps women who are transitioning through a divorce and feel trapped and stuck in their marriage as they cannot see a way forward. She does this by showing them how to take the first steps to an empowered life so that they can thrive independently both emotionally and financially by letting go of the past and taking control by thriving in the next chapter of their lives!

Gina comes from a place of honesty and put herself in their shoes as much as possible. Taking her clients from a place of feeling stuck to coming unstuck and moving presently forward each day with whatever they are dealing with. Having come out of a narcissistic marriage after over 30 years Gina wants to help those that feel they do not have a choice but to stay. She tells all those she meets. "You definitely don’t have to stay and I will show you a way that will help you stay grounded and present in your day as much as possible." Gina's mission is to help women during a divorce to independence through a trauma-informed lens to not only survive but financially thrive!

Stay or Die: Learning To Love After Leaving Abuse - With Amy Frame

Stay or Die: Learning To Love After Leaving Abuse - With Amy Frame

In this episode, I had a very lively and heartfelt conversation with Amy Frame. Amy shared her story of freeing herself from an abusive marriage, moving across the country, finding the love of her life, and how her own healing journey lead to her helping other women travel through their healing too.

At the age of 18, Amy Frame joined the military and left for basic training on Sept 18th, 2001. She spent one year overseas in Iraq, where she met her partner for the next nine years.  This relationship was Co-dependent and completely unhealthy. Amy learned this model from her mother. After nine years of increasing abuse from both sides, she left after he threatened her life.

It took years for Amy to heal from the pain of that experience, and along the way, a whole new identity emerged.  She was an Emergency room Nurse by the time the relationship came to an end and Amy packed up everything she owned, quit her job, and moved back home.  Then she spent a total of 12 years as a bedside nurse. Two years ago, Amy stepped away from bedside nursing and created a practice where now she works on healing souls.

Over the years, Amy has learned two things, Life is short, and healing begins with the soul, not the body. It is here that she created her Coaching Practice. Now she spends her days working with individuals whose wounds cannot always be seen.  Amy says, "It’s the most impactful work I have ever been called to do."

Family Secrets: Perfect On The Outside- with Brittany Storti

Family Secrets: Perfect On The Outside- with Brittany Storti

In this episode, I had the distinct blessing of talking with Brittany Storti about her personal journey to recovery and healing. She shared openly with me about her journey through addiction, and loss, and how she found freedom from parental narcissistic abuse. Today Brittany works with other women to help them find their own bridge from surviving to thriving.

Brittany's story is all about a young girl who was constantly told that she would never be enough. Her voice became public on The Dr Oz Show in March 2012 where she started a long journey towards healing. Brittany has fought through, not only your traditional "coming of age" difficulties, but a heart-wrenching road of eating disorders, addiction, homelessness, losing a sibling to suicide, and parental narcissistic abuse.

Today, she is a life coach who specializes in women’s empowerment and addiction recovery with the privilege of helping others who are ready to break their chains and live a life beyond their wildest dreams. Brittany is the proud founder of The Bridge Coaching Services- a program designed to bridge the gap between where you are and where you are meant to be.

Learning to Drop The Excuses and Heal Yourself- with Maurice F. Martin

Learning to Drop The Excuses and Heal Yourself- with Maurice F. Martin

In this episode, I sat down for a very open and heartfelt conversation with Maurice about the healing journey after trauma. As all my episodes do, this conversation travels down a path of discussing self-care, love, and how Maurice is helping people move away from the excuses which keep us bound to our past.

Facing a crossroads, Maurice F. Martin chose a path less traveled, the life-changing journey of healing, growth, and purpose. His second book, Your But is Too Big: 7 Principles That Empower You To Heal Past Hurts and Get Motivated to Find Purpose was written to help you heal your past wounds, discover who you really are, and live a peaceful, purpose-driven life. Maurice has been through his fair share of trauma - from masking the private pain of his childhood to battling depression in his 20s. After becoming an award-winning vocalist and songwriter, Maurice hit rock bottom and it became clear that there was only one way out: he had to let go of what had been holding him back. Now that he’s healed, Maurice is on a mission to equip and empower you to release your limiting beliefs and become the person you were born to be.

Thriving in Life After Abuse and Addiction- with Katie Lain

Thriving in Life After Abuse and Addiction- with Katie Lain

In this episode, I sat down with Katie Lain to talk about how domestic violence and addiction often go hand in hand. To escape the devastating realities of her home life, Katie found herself turning to alcohol more and more finding herself hopelessly addicted. Even after she freed herself from her abuser, the addiction remained but not forever.  Listen with me as Katie shares her story of how she found her own way to thrive after abuse and addiction.

Katie Lain struggled with alcohol addiction for almost 10 years – cycling in and out of periods of abstinence and relapse. She desperately wanted to fix her drinking problem, but couldn’t figure out how. But in 2017, she finally escaped this cycle when she learned about a medication-assisted treatment for alcohol dependence called The Sinclair Method (TSM).TSM is a clinically-proven treatment for alcohol addiction discovered in the 1990s and helps people reduce heavy drinking and eliminate alcohol cravings over time. Katie gradually reduced her drinking through this method, to the point of going completely (and accidentally) alcohol-free one year after she started. She now runs Thrive Alcohol Recovery where she offers a comprehensive program for The Sinclair Method, and she also serves as an advocate for this method – reaching thousands of people through her social media channels.

How to Be Unstopable In Life and Loving Yourself- with Lyndsay Soprano

In this episode, I sat down for an open and surprising conversation with marketing expert and podcast host, Lyndsay Soprano. During our conversation she shared with me newly discovered memories about her own trauma as well as how she is bravely tackling her pain journey.

Lyndsay was diagnosed with Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) a little over 6 years ago (as of Jan 2023).  CRPS is one of the most painful diseases on earth. On The McGill's Pain Scale, it is higher in pain than natural childbirth!

Lyndsay rocks the world of chronic pain and illness. It has been quite a ride to get her to where she is today. After years of being misdiagnosed, poked and prodded, big Pharma attacked, and botched surgeries, she decided to take things into her own hands and try to heal herself.

Having fallen into every Western medicine trap on the planet, she is now advocating for a trauma-informed approach to care and wellness.
Insert The Pain Game Podcast where she thrives on getting to the heart of how to heal with you by her side.  She has now dedicated her life to healing herself and others on their journeys through chronic pain.

How to Use Interior Design To Heal Your Heart- With Shana Francesca

In this episode, I talk with Shana Francesca. An amazingly powerful woman whose story of survival brings inspiration to other women who want to learn how to design a life of their own making.

Now Shana uses her talents as an interior designer to help others remove old energies from their homes and workspaces.    She shared with me why she loves working with her clients saying, "They're like, incredible human beings. But they're sharing their story with me and I get to be part of changing and shifting their home to be a place of safety, because so much about our home, you know, especially if they choose to stay in that home for whatever reason that traumatic relationship ends or that traumatic situation ends or there's a death or there's a whatever it is right? When we entered, we're all in everything's made of energy. So the energy of what existed and what was done inside of a house stays with it. And we can transmute, and we can change that energy by, you know, changing our perception and our view of a space by reorganizing that space."
