On his 75th mission, just five days before the end of his tour, Plumb was shot down over Hanoi, taken prisoner, tortured, and spent the next 2,103 days in North Vietnamese Prisoner of War camps. Amy Nubson's journey wasn’t always so clear, courageous, or confident either. Growing up the daughter of a dairy farmer in rural Wisconsin, she learned a lot about hard work at a young age. Unfortunately, along with it came the notion that one must sacrifice to be successful. She was always putting others’ needs and wants before her own – forcing her inner voice and dreams back into the shadows.
She spent most of her life merely trying to survive all the hardships without knowing who she really was or what she wanted. Being the marketing professional she is, she decided to “rebrand herself”. She created a program to help me heal, learn, and grow through a program called "Rebrand You" that uses a personal growth system she refers to as “The Three C’s”.

Episode 122 - Forged in the Fires Guest - Brock Bevell
One of my favorite people in the world is Brock Bevell. He and I could take for hours, but we kept it to 40 minutes of great content for you.
Brock Bevell is a well-regarded family man with 7 children, six daughters and one son. He is a retired Police Officer who was run over on duty and ultimately retired from the injuries. The injuries caused him to endure numerous knee surgeries and constant rehabilitation. To deal with the pain, he was prescribed opioids. After months and months of therapy, the department and doctors made the determination that his injuries would prevent him from doing the job effectively and could place others at risk. It was decided that he would be medically retired from the department.
For the next few years, Brock struggled with being retired. The day after turning in his equipment, he felt ostracized and not a part of the brotherhood. This was a huge blow to his ego. One day you're chasing bad guys and the next you're picking up your kid’s toys. It was a difficult transition. It was at this time that Brock’s addiction took control of his emotions and he began to spin out of control, and he proceeded to self-medicate himself. During the height of his addiction, he went through a very difficult divorce. He lost time with his children and made poor decisions costing him his children’s trust.
Since recovering from his addiction, Brock has helped hundreds of men and women combat addiction. He utilizes an unconventional approach to recovery. This approach continues to lead men and women to lasting sobriety.

Episode 55 - Forged in the Fires Guest - Pease Brothers
Kyle Pease was born with Cerebral Palsy with Spastic Quadriplegia. His brother, Brent, decided not to wait until their mom woke up on Saturday mornings in order to bring Kyle downstairs to join him—he took it upon himself to get Kyle down the stairs—not because of any other reason than he wanted his buddy there to watch cartoons.
Fast forward more than a decade later, Brent began to tackle the sport of triathlon. Kyle accompanied Brent to his first Ironman in Louisville, spectating and cheering on an unseasonably hot day from his motorized chair. At the conclusion of the race, Kyle wondered if he could also become a triathlete. The brothers’ friend, Betty Janelle, said, “Well of course you can!” and the wheels (pun intended) began to turn. The dream was born from there.
Kyle and Brent completed their first triathlon at St. Anthony’s triathlon in Florida in 2011, and went on to achieve what would seem to be impossible—Ironman Wisconsin and Ironman Florida in subsequent years.
This interview is one that you should not miss. To find out more about how the Pease Brothers are changing minds through their passion, brotherhood and relentless determination go to the Kyle Pease Foundation.
