Days can be long and difficult, and then the days can turn into long and difficult seasons. We long for change and wonder if these seasons will ever end. We wonder how we will make it through to the end.

We all have the opportunity and capability to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Every word we speak or action we take matters.

There is more to this life than pain.  There is more than being overwhelmed.  There is immeasurable grace, love, joy, hope, peace, and more.

Sometimes, our hearts get off track, and they need adjustments. Sometimes, they are broken. Sometimes, they are restless. And sometimes, they are focused on the wrong things. But a change of direction will change everything.

So many things can happen to cause our hearts to want to act in unloving ways. Giving in to these behaviors and allowing them to become habits is unhealthy for us. But there is a way to overcome these negative patterns and learn to love with all our hearts instead.

New years are not always happy. Life can be very difficult. Yet, there is a way we can still have joy in the midst of the sorrows.

No matter what occurs in the course of our day, our day can make a difference.

When we open the eyes of our hearts, we will discover we are surrounded by gifts. This applies during our good seasons and our difficult seasons alike. Come, receive the gifts of this season and every season.

The attitude of the heart affects perspective and what is poured out into the lives of others. And perspective impacts the attitude of the heart.  Each day can be filled with gratitude to God or filled with an attitude of grumbling. The choice is ours.

Times are difficult with the way world events are unfolding and also with the holiday season approaching, but we can take heart because there is still hope.

This episode is the third in a three-part series entitled "The Runner."  When things are difficult, there is strength available to us.  We can press on, doing the hard things in the hard times.  Our hearts can persevere through pain and setbacks and rise victoriously over them.

Life can be overwhelming at times and cause us to want to run away to the wilderness.  We can become so tired that we feel we cannot continue.  But, there is help and rest available which will enable us to stay in the race and keep on running.

Life is full of twists, turns, hills, and valleys, and is sometimes so difficult it makes us want to quit. At these times, we need to dig in deep so that we can finish the race. This is when we need a runner’s heart. This episode is the first of three in “The Runner” series.

Seasons of difficulty raise questions about what we will do and where we will turn for help.  I have been asking myself lately if I trust God.  Do you trust Him?

We all experience moments of weakness, and the decisions we make in those moments have consequences.  But, help and hope are available at times like these to redirect our steps into a new and beautiful season.

The thoughts of our hearts are not always good. At times, we need to confront them. That is what I have been doing with mine lately.

Sometimes, life gets off track. How did we get to where we are, and how do we get to where we need to be? Regardless of what brought us to this point, a reset is necessary.

Life is difficult right now. How can we keep pressing on when our hearts are aching? Where can we find help, hope, and peace?

In the storms and falls of life, we are never alone.  God is there and cares about every detail.

Where we are heading matters but so does where we are right now. If we are on a path that is not good, we have the opportunity to change the direction of our lives.  

Peace may seem hard to come by right now, but it is actually obtainable.  Our heavy hearts can know rest.

Life can be scary and cause fear and anxiety to ramp up in our lives.  We can even become prisoners to them.  But sheltering in God will set us free.

Time is quickly passing, and every moment matters.  How are you spending your moments?

Help and hope is available in the most difficult of times, even when our hearts are broken and we want to quit.  

Faithful faith is real and possible.  Move forward with it today.

Investing in the lives of others is important—in the good times and the bad.  And being there at all times produces an invaluable treasure.

What sons need your love?  All of them do, whether they are your own children or not.

We have access to help, hope, and power 24 hours a day when we access the ultimate source of power.

When it comes to God, a promise made is a promise kept.  His promises will be fulfilled every time, for all time.

How can Good Friday be good?  When the reason and the motivation intersect, we find ourselves at the heart of Jesus's purpose.

You are significant.  You are more than a number.  Your name is known.

Life does not always go as planned.  Sometimes, we need to reevaluate our direction, and sometimes, even our purpose.
