Innovation in Fundraising, with Andrew Robison

—Ken Burnett
This week we're delighted to welcome Andrew Robison, Owner and President of Petrus Development. Andrew joins us to tease out some answers to what we're all thinking: Which opportunities should I take now to make sure that I'm fundraising 15 minutes ahead?

COVID-19 HELP
Although the COVID-19 pandemic has plunged the world into a state of uncertainty, it’s already inspired incredible generosity from philanthropists and funders. Many of the small black, Asian, multi-ethnic and refugee (BAMER) led nonprofits that we support aren’t directly involved in frontline efforts to stop the coronavirus but their work — serving the most disadvantaged members of society — has never been harder, and it must go on. Their economic struggle isn’t making headlines or mentioned in press conferences, but they must find ways to fundraise, often without any awareness of what is available and do so with even less capacity than ever.
We cannot singlehandedly help them all, but we are committed to doing what we can. We’re compiling the relevant offers that are available and are making it available via the channels that will reach them. We've also set up a dedicated email address where they can reach out for advise and receive it, in a timely manner.

GrantMakers: Spotlight on City Bridge Trust (part 1)

GrantMakers: The Brutal Facts
Can your trust fundraising get better year-on-year? What are the secrets that make trusts so resilient? Why do they increase their giving, whilst their income has been static? Do they behave as an accidental unit, moving as one, or does the behaviour of a few dominate the numbers?
If you depend upon income from trusts, you don't want to miss this preview of Bill's event later this month. It answers these questions and more, based on extensive data and interviews with the key players.

GrantMakers: Spotlight on GrantSeekers
Every wonder what it takes to win major grant funding? This week, we shine our spotlight on grant-seekers with help from Bill Bruty, one of the most experienced and knowledgeable fundraisers in the UK. Bill is the Director of Fundraising Training Ltd and has more than 35 years of experience, especially in the field of grant-seeking from charitable trusts and government bodies.
He joins Carol to share the five things that he believes you should do in order to secure the bag!

Grantmakers: Spotlight on Trust for London
There are many ways poverty and inequality can be addressed and there is no silver bullet. Trust for London know this and in developing their funding strategy, have considered where they can best make a difference. They have three cycles, money to spend and recognise that a variety of approaches are needed to support the work needed to make London fairer.

Whether or not you are in London, you don't want to miss this episode. CEO, Julie Pal, joins @AmickyCarol in the studio to bring you 3 #TopTips for applying to them.

GrantMakers: Spotlight on The Tudor Trust (part 2)
In 2004, the Tudor Trust began to change their approach to funding and their trustees are closely engaged at every stage of the grant-making process. They are interested in how organisations work, as well as in what they do, and look for a number of key characteristics and qualities in the groups they support.
This week, Nicky is back in the studio with @AmickyCarol and gives a glimpse into her and Tudor's journey, over the last decade and half!

GrantMakers: Spotlight on The Tudor Trust (part 1)
The Tudor Trust is an independent charitable trust that supports work that tries to meet the many different needs of people at the margins of society.
