Pastor Vincent :Our Marching Orders - Num32:1-42
How can we live lives that are impactful to those around us, especially our families?

Pastor Jonathan:Since God is just and fair…
Synopsis: Following up from the episode whereby the Midianites, who together with Balaam, instigated a plan to induce Israel towards idolatry and adulterous living (Num 25), we see God’s justice in His judgment upon them (Num 31). Additionally, God’s justice and also His fairness can be seen through the distribution of the booty. Since our God is just and fair, how should we live our lives?
- God’s Justice in His Judgment on the Midianites (v1-4; v8; v16)
- Israel’s Response in this Midianite war (v4-12)
- Moses’ and Eleazar’s Responses in this Midianite war (v13-24)
- God’s Justice in His distribution of the booty (v25-47)
- The officers’ response to God (v48-54)

Pastor Vincent:To Vow Or Not To Vow
In times of crises, people often call out to God and sometimes their prayers take the form of a vow. If God would help them, they would give something to God or abstain from something. Our text addresses various cases on women binding themselves with an oath. What about for Christians today? Did Jesus forbid His disciples from making vows?

Pastor Vincent:Shadows Of The Things To Come
Chapters 28 & 29 is an entire calendar of priestly sacrifices. Daily. Weekly. Monthly. Yearly. These sacrifices are cumulative, and there is not a day when an offering is not made to God. Old Testament laws about sacrifices rest on the promise of land. That was then. What about today? What do they mean for Christians today?

Pastor Lim Boon Seng:Observing God's Calendar(Numbers 28:1-15)
We use calendars to remind us what's important and what needs to be done. In God's calendar, besides reminding people to spend time with God at various times and in various ways, we'll also discover that the list of offerings variously describe the majestic theme of God's unchanging nature and attributes.

Wen-Wei Chiang: The Shepherd who happens to Lead
I don't think "Leader" is a valid biblical title for those who exercise authority in the Church. Because, simply, God is our Leader. In the Old Testament, the word of choice is "Shepherd" for those humans we tend to label as leaders. In the New Testament, the most frequent reference to the disciples is "Servant". Whenever "leader" is used of people, it is almost always negative. Numbers 27 is all about transfer from one generation to the next. The first half of the chapter is of land to the daughters of Zelophehad, then of authority from Moses to Joshua in the second half of the chapter. But what is the nature of that authority? And why is "Shepherd" the preferred title? We explore that a bit in this message.

Pastor Vincent:Inheritance Of The Saints
Why are the daughters of Zelophehad listed in the census that counts only fighting men? This disclosure foreshadows the legal issues pertaining to land inheritance found in chapters 27 and 36. The inheritance concerns the land, which results in a precedent-setting decision. What about the inheritance of the saints today? What does it consist of?

Pastor Vincent:Preparing the new generation
The first generation that came out of Egypt has died in the wilderness. A new generation now stands at the threshold of the Promised Land. A second census is conducted, and like the first it heads the block of material associated with each generation. There are three things each generation must remember, regardless of their theatre of operation, even for our present times.

Pastor Boon Seng Lim : Two Steps Forward, One Step Back
The Israelites were poised to enter the Promised Land but they fell prey to the reality of the catchphrase "Two steps forward, one step back". Be warned! When Satan fails at one strategy he will use another like he did with the Israelites and succeed! Is your Christian life also like a "yo-yo"? Guard yourself!

Pastor Vincent:Even More Good News (Numbers: 22:1 - 24:25)
Much of the book of Numbers is one bad news after another. Starting chapter 21, we see the beginning of good news. Now, through a pagan prophet-diviner, there is even more good news. God’s promise to Abraham cannot be broken. He is determined to bless His people despite their faithlessness and the schemes of their enemies. Truly, if God is for us, who can be against us?

Pastor Jonathan:Turning point: the beginning of good news.
After the many bad news of judgment and terrible consequences, Israel finally sees a turning point in their history. Numbers 21 marks the starting of many more good news to come as God grants them success and victory.
