So, the genius zone is basically the sweet spot where your talents, passions, and values all intersect. It's where you feel most alive and fulfilled, and where you can really shine. Gay Hendricks, who is the author of the "Big Leap" talks about how important it is to find your genius zone and pursue work that aligns with it. He argues that many people never reach their full potential because they're stuck in jobs or situations that don't allow them to use their unique strengths and talents. By figuring out what makes you tick and what you're really good at, you can create a life that is not only successful, but also deeply satisfying and meaningful.

Turning forty was a news flash for me and NOT a good one. I was feeling tired, overweight and less than satisficed with my career. I had so many things to be grateful for which made me feel guilty for wanting more and feeling unhappy with where I was at. At forty, I made a decision to make changes and it eventually led to me becoming a life and health coach. It has taken me 9 years for this all to come to fruition even though I started my business in the end of 2018. What I learned along the way, I hope to help you create much faster and with less starts and stops, and misguided detours. Becoming a coach has helped me not only create better awareness in my won life and create more fulfillment - BUT also a process for helping others do the same. In this episode, I share the first part of creating change by identifying what it is in fact that you are actually not-happy with in life. On the journey of creating a life you absolutely freaking LOVE -you need to first evaluate all the areas of life and decide which ones need changing and why. People often look for the perfect diet, the perfect exercise plan or want to just be given the steps for weight loss. In reality, these can all work or not work, but one thing that must happen for permanent weight loss is accepting yourself and coming from a place of self-love. When find emotions too painful to look at, we deny them. Denial doesn't get rid of the emotions, but we often turn to food to help "numb" out what we do not want to feel.
When we are overly critical of ourselves, our bodies and come from a place of self-loathing - we want to hate ourselves thin as a way to be motivated. Our bodies, our results will always reflect how we feel on the inside whether we are living in negativity or denying it exists.
