Black Stage Fright
What happens when you grew up black in a white space and are put in a place where the majority is black? Are you anxious of the social stage you are entering? Sometimes you get "Black Stage Fright". Black Stage Fright is when a black individual (normally who grew up around a limited number of black people) has some anxiety when being around other black people because they fear cultural differences. This is an anxiety based on insecurity, not racism. This conversation was inspired by TikToker @not.chichi . In this episode, Jordan and Ambree discuss Black Stage Fright and how it has manifested in their lives.
