The One With the Boyfriend Pillow
This is 4x17, "Guilty Pleasures." Sam and Blaine take the reins of the Glee Club, assigning the New Directions the task to tackle their musical guilty pleasures - the songs and artists they're too embarrassed to admit they love. Over in New York City, Kurt's guilty pleasure isn't a song at all and Santana finally reveals Brody's big secret to Rachel.
So tell us: what are your guilty pleasures?

Glee vs. Coherent Storytelling
This is 4x16, "Feud." Close your eyes. Take it back to the early 2000s. The time of the great music feuds. *Nsync vs. BSB. Britney vs. Christina. Madonna vs. Elton John?? We guess this was a feud. And now, Finn Hudson vs. Will Schuester.
Tensions are still raging between Finn and Mr. Schue, so The New Directions force them into a lesson about famous music feuds in order to sing out their feelings. Sue tries to bring Blaine back to the Cheerios, while Jake and Marley's relationship hit the rocks. Over in New York, Santana uncovers Brody's side job.

This is 4x15 - "Girls (and Boys) on Film." Glee hits us with another tribute, mash-up, and boys v girls episode all in one. Once more its the New Directions girls verses boys as they pay tribute to the music of the movies, you know, instead of rehearsing for Regionals. Over in New York, Santana is stirring things up in the Bushwick loft while Kurt starts to confront his feelings for Blaine.
Glee also celebrates their 500th song in this episode.

This is 4x14 - "I Do." This episode we're joined by a very special guest - Star aka Littlemissstar55 from Bookstagram. A fellow survivor of the Glee fandom, Star is here to help us break down the saphhic highs of this honestly pretty fun episode.
It's a Valentine's Day and wedding episode all rolled into one, so you know there's double the drama as New Directions alumni reunite for Will and Emma's wedding. Old relationships are rekindled while new ones just might be forged.

Happy New Year, Gleeks. In this subscriber exclusive mini episode, hosts Mandy, Bee, and Emily discuss their varied experiences in the American higher education system. This is a topic we've been wanting to rant about for a while, as the length of episode should attest to. The conclusion? College is a thing. Maybe it's for you. Maybe not.

Rerelease: S3E9 - "Extraordinary Merry Christmas (2020)
Hey, Gleeks! This is a rerelease of 2020 episode covering S3E9, "Extraordinary Merry Christmas." And this time, it's actually the holidays. Enjoy. (And yes, that's our old theme music.)
This is S3E9, "Extraordinary Merry Christmas." The New Directions are asked to create a holiday special for their local PBS station, directed by their very own Artie; Sue looks for volunteers to help out at the homeless shelter she is apparently very invested in; Rory is still on the show.
Oh, and Blaine gives Kurt a little present.
Merry Christmas ya filthy animals. Please enjoy the Box Scene.

I'ma Gleeva
This is 4x13 - "Diva." In order to pump the New Directions up for Regionals, Finn challenges the Glee Club to find their inner Divas. Tina, still crushing hard on Blaine, crosses a line. Tired of Rachel's egoism, Kurt challenges her Midnight Madness - a fight club style sing-off between NYADA members. At least the music is banging in this episode.

We talk with Jon about how we got into the Glee fandom, the evergreen rumors of reboots, and Jon pitches us an idea for a new segment: Celeste Watch (you might know her as Neck Brace Cheerio).

Hey! We Liked This One!
This is 4x07, "Dynamic Duets." The Dalton Academy Warblers are back with a brand new leader and that leader is not even remotely bi-curious. They've also stolen the New Directions' Nationals trophy in attempt to lure Blaine back to Dalton. Jake and Ryder continue to fight over Marley, who honestly has enough to deal with. Meanwhile, there is no New York in this episode. Oh, and Lighthouse guy is in this episode.

Sue and Kitty battle over who gets to be the most offensive character on the show this week, and Kurt and Rachel agonize over seeing their exes as they return to McKinley to support their friends. The New Rachel (Was the Friends We Made Along the Way)
This is 4x01 - "The New Rachel." The new season begins with old friends and new faces, and a whole lot of storylines, as Glee attempts a soft reset. Back in good old McKinley High, the Glee Club is both competing amongst themselves over who will become the new Rachel (instead of just being equal players) and holding auditions for new members. Over in New York, Rachel Berry clashes with her new dance teacher (guest star Kate Hudson) and meets a hunky upperclassman who may or may not ever go to class, Brody.

Glee on the Rocks Presents: Supernatural on the Rocks
Hey Gleeks! We're proud to introduce our new project: this is Supernatural on the Rocks, a new Supernatural podcast hosted by two of the voices behind Glee on the Rocks. This will be a limited series podcast: every episode we cover a season of Supernatural, digging into the mythology, the characters, and the fandom it left behind. When there's too much to cover in a regular episode, we'll add topic-specific bonus episodes.
This is Episode 1, "Season 1." SPN premiered in 2005. Billed as The X Files meets Route 66, the concept was two brothers driving the desolate roads of America, saving people and hunting things. In this first episode, we discuss the effectiveness of the genre, the characterization of the leads, and what was going on with the Big Bads of the season.

Public Service Glee-nouncement
**Trigger/Content Warning: Discussions of a suicide attempt, bullying over sexuality, and major car accident**
This is S3E14, "On My Way." The New Directions battle The Warblers at Regionals in the mid-season finale of Season 3. Rachel and Finn are still planning to get hitched after the performance despite the very real misgivings of their friends and family. Dave Karofsky faces bullying at school while Quinn regains her status as a Cheerio.
The Indices
Kevin McScale: 2 - he was allotted some seconds of singing and one whole line
Klainedex: 6.5 - really solid and adorable background moments
Coulda Shoulda Woulda: Coulda be a great time to introduce Queer Quinn, and to hear more from the Queer characters in the emotional fallout of Karofsky’s suicide attempt

Honesty, Respect, Dance
This is S3E13, "Heart." It's Valentine's Day at McKinley and love is in the air. Rachel's dads discover Finn and Rachel's engagement and decide to throw a party at the Hudson-Hummels with underhanded intentions. Rory and Artie fight over Sugar Motta, and a secret admirer showers Kurt with attention.
Kevin McScale: 4 - he gets song and a storyline, not too shabby.
Klainedex: 8 - the tie-pulling makes it an 8, but loses a point for the lost kiss.
Coulda Shoulda Woulda: could have seen the Christian storyline told from the other side (the queer side).

The Unified Ricky Martin Conspiracy Theory
This is S3E12, "The Spanish Teacher." In an episode that hinges on the fact that Mr. Schuester is The Worst, we learn that there is a much more qualified Spanish teacher teaching night school at McKinley - David Martinez, aka Ricky Martin. Meanwhile, Sue Sylvester decides she wants a baby and goes after the Glee club boys for their, uhm, donations.
Kevin McScale: 2 - he was there, but it wasn't enough.
Klainedex: 2 - Blaine's not even in this episode, but he is referenced.
Coulda Shoulda Woulda Index: Okay but technically we could have had Ricky Martin the WHOLE TIME.

This Does Not Spark Warbler
This is S3E11, "Michael." The New Directions run through a small piece of the Michael Jackson catalogue, while Kurt and Rachel get news about NYADA. Kurt and Sebastian fight for Blaine's affection and attention, causing a rift between the Glee Club and the Warblers that results in Darren Criss appearing on Broadway.
Also, Smooth Criminal. Which Mandy wouldn't understand because somehow she missed the MJ train. We forgive though.
This episode features returning guest Ambre, coming back to tell the facts about Samcedes.
Kevin McScale: 4.5 - he just needed a full plot to hit the full 5
Klainedex: 6 - they got minimal screen time, but the heart eyes adds key points
Coulda Shoulda Woulda Index: more Warblers, that's all

Get The Whole Cheesecake
This is S3E10, "Yes/No." Sam and Mercedes continue to enjoy the fruits of an ongoing, multi-episode storyline as their flirty summer romance lingers into the school year. Finn learns the truth about his father, while Mr. Schue gets the help of the New Directions to propose to Emma.
Kevin McScale: 5 - the ever elusive 5 for a full song and a real storyline. Congrats, Kev.
Klainedex: 1 - some background eye lovin’, but really nothing else.
Coulda Shoulda Woulda Index: Shoulda had Emma leaving Will, or just having more autonomy in general.

Marti Noxon, Gleek of the Week
This is S3E9, "Extraordinary Merry Christmas." The New Directions are asked to create a holiday special for their local PBS station, directed by their very own Artie; Sue looks for volunteers to help out at the homeless shelter she is apparently very invested in; Rory is still on the show.
Oh, and Blaine gives Kurt a little present.
Merry Christmas ya filthy animals. Please enjoy the Box Scene.
Kevin McScale: 4 - plenty of scene time, but lacking in song
Klainedex: 8.5 - for the Box Scene alone
Coulda Shoulda Woulda Index: put the fucking Box Scene in the episode you cowards

Dalton Branch of Fight Club
This is S3E8, "Hold On to Sixteen." It's time for Sectionals, y'all. The New Directions battle The Troubletones and The Unitards (with Harmony reappearing for another episode) for a spot at Nationals. Sam Evans returns to McKinley High in order to help his old buddies, who are short a few members to compete, and Quinn Fabray comes to a decision about Shelby. Also, Sebastian Smythe returns for some more flirting.
Kevin McScale: 1.5 - Kevin was...in the episode and got to sing a bit?
Klainedex: 6 - catching that Klaine date at the Lima Bean.
Coulda Shoulda Woulda Index: Honestly we need more Sebastian.
Our wonderful sound engineer is Adriana.

Santana, Interrupted
Everyone hanging in there?
This is S3E7, "I Kissed a Girl." After being outed by Finn, Santana works towards self love and acceptance, getting a little help from The New Directions during "Lady Music Week" in the process. Meanwhile, accusations of cheating swirl around the student class president election and Coach Beiste worries about her relationship with Cooter.
Kevin McScale: . 5 - was Kevin even in this episode?
Klainedex: 6 - for the full duet of "Perfect." But 7.5 for the eye contact.
Coulda Shoulda Woulda Index: 50s - Brit should have sung "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"
If you missed it, we posted our episode in remembrance of Naya Rivera. Listen to it here.

Bonus Episode: Naya Remembered
Welcome to our bonus episode where we remember the life, talents, and career of Naya Rivera. We reminisce about her time before Glee, her impact on the show, and more. This is our space to chat, remember, and grieve, and we hope you can join us in this process.
Stay healthy. Mask up. Take care of each other.
xoxo, GotR

Fierce, Femme, Phenomenal
Listener's Note: We recorded and edited this episode before Naya Rivera's tragic passing, which is why there's no commentary about it. We held off posting as we took time to deal and gather our thoughts.
The next episode is "I Kissed a Girl," which heavily features Santana in an important storyline. We're going to wait a little bit before recording it to give ourselves, and our listeners, a little more time to decompress. First we're going record a tribute episode of sorts - more on that soon. For now, please enjoy this episode and remember Naya in your favorite way.
This is S3E6, "Mash Off." The New Directions are still quibbling with The Troubletones and the only way to solve it is, you guessed it, a mash off competition. The result is one of the greatest Glee covers of the whole series: Rumor Has It/Someone Like You.
Kevin McScale: .5 - for injuring Darren during the dodgeball scene
Klainedex: 2 - one point for standing on the choir room chairs, and one for Blaine's face during the student council speech
Coulda Shoulda Woulda Index: 30s - the lack of an actual storyline with Rachel and Shelby; honestly would have paid money to see Finn lift Blaine a la Dirty Dancing
Our wonderful sound engineer is Adriana, and this episode is sponsored by you, our Patrons.

Make Art and Help People
This is S3E5, "The First Time." Power couples Kurt and Blaine and Finn and Rachel go down to bone town because the teenage director of their high school musical told them they should. Meanwhile, Dalton has a new Warbler in the form of one Sebastian Smythe, and the New Directions finally put on West Side Story without a single drama nerd's help. It's not half bad, actually.
Kevin McHale Scale: 3.5 - for screen time and storyline, but a downgrade for no song
Klainedex: 9.5 - we mean, did you SEE this episode??
Coulda Shoulda Woulda Index: 15 - honestly they needed to lose some more clothes

Voices of Glee: Episode 1, Part 1
Hello! Welcome to the first installment of what we're calling the Voices of Glee episodes.
We wanted to do this in recognition of the long history of Black/Brown/POC/Queer voices being excluded from the media. From writers, directors, and producers, to journalists, commentators, and reviewers, and every position of influence and authority in between.
This episode is hosted by Monica, Ambre, and Julien - three more Glee fans who come from different backgrounds than your usual hosts, but who have just as strong of opinions. We loved listening to their conversation about Glee and we're sure you will too.
There was much to talk about so this episode has been split into two. This is Part 1. Part 2 will be posted on Tuesday.

Continuity, Whomst?
How's everyone coping? Good? Just okay? Climbing the walls yet? We feel.
This is S3E4, "Pot O' Gold." The Glee Project "winner" Damian McGinty arrives as exchange student Rory Flanagan, Father of the Decade Burt Hummel decides to run against Sue in the congressional race, and Shelby starts recruiting for the rival all-girl Glee club - The Troubletones.
Kevin McHale Scale: 0.25 - I mean really? We were cheated.
Klainedex: 5 - for the Last Friday Night cuteness.
Coulda Shoulda Woulda Index: Tina was the most fucked over and should have joined The Troubletones.

Is This Title Okay?
Is everyone remembering to lotion up after washing your hands 54x a day?
This is S3E3, "Asian F." In an episode touted as "Mike Chang-centric," we've got Mercedes tired AF of standing in Rachel's spotlight, Kurt and Blaine competing for the same role but being cute AF doing so, and Mr. Schue meeting Emma's rude AF parents. Also, Mike has parents!
Kevin McHale Scale: 0.5 for was he even in this episode?
Klainedex: 7 - for the flowers
Shouda Coulda Wouda Index: low 40s - where was the script supervisor anyway?

Gay Diddly Gay Gay Gay
We know times are strange right now, but are they as strange as an episode of Glee? (Yes, we're being facetious, the world is scary. STAY HOME.)
This is S3E2 - "I Am Unicorn." Kurt is running for Student Body President and campaign manager Brit wants him to lean into the unicorn. Schue makes some of the New Directions attend Booty Camp and Shelby Corcoran returns to shake things up even more.
Kevin McHale Scale: 2.5 - you decide why
Klainedex: 6 - purely for the fondness of their looks
Shouda Coulda Wouda Scale: 60s - for the ball dropped on Quinn, and those missing Kurt and Blaine conversations

The Arrival of Senior Junior Blaine
Welcome to Season 3 of Glee, and of Glee on the Rocks. By Executive Order we've decided to just give ourselves seasons too, because why not? We're professionals.
This is S3E1, "The Purple Piano Project." Once again, the New Directions are looking for members and Mr. Schue has them perform in public to recruit. Meanwhile, Kurt and Rachel discover other talented teenagers and Blaine Warbler becomes Blaine Anderson.
Kevin McHale Scale: 0 - not a great way to start a new season
Klainedex: 8 - for the locker scene, the song, the Lima Bean date and the fact that this is only the first episode
Our wonderful sound engineer is Adriana, and this episode is sponsored by you, our Patrons.

What About Breakfast at Tiffanys
We've made it to the Season 2 finale! Today we're talking S2E22, "New York." Nationals is finally here and the Glee Club is super prepared for it. They're so prepared that instead of rehearsing for months leading up, they're writing the songs the day before. But hey, it's Glee.
Kevin McHale Scale: 1 - really just for Bella Notte and showing up to work.
Klainedex: 7 - a 5 for the "I love yous" and an extra 2 for Kurt talking about moving to New York with Blaine.
Our sound engineer is Adriana, and this episode is sponsored by you, our Patrons. And a special thank you to Adriana, for raising the bar for our podcast.

Don't Yuck My Yum
Friends! Countrymen! We are returned.
Today we're talking about S2E21, "Funeral." The New Directions have almost made it to Nationals in New York, but first they had to make an honestly heartfelt pit stop at a funeral. Meanwhile, Mercedes, Kurt, and Santana all get solos. Yay!
This episode rates a 0.5 on the Kevin McHale Scale. It was a 1 for him showing up to work, but half a point off for the podcast. And it rates a full 0 on the Klainedex for it not even really existing.

It's Like Gay Braveheart
The holidays are upon us, but we have a new episode for you first.
Today we're talking S2E20, "Prom Queen." Junior Prom has arrived for the New Directions and everyone is worried about dresses, dates, and spiking the punch bowl. Also, Jesse St. James returns and looks great in a skinny scarf.
This episode rates a solid 4 on the Kevin Scale for having two songs and a whole subplot, and a 7 on the Klainedex, for going on two dates, a romantic dance, and heartfelt conversations. Happy Holidays!

Rumours Have It
Hello! Yes, it's us. Recovered from Thanksgiving (not really) and back with a new episode for you.
Today we're talking S2E19, "Rumours." Gossip abounds in and out of the choir room, and April Rhodes return to potentially steal Mr. Schue off to the Great White Way.
This episode rates a 2.5 on the Kevin Scale for getting a solid song, and a 1.5 on the Klainedex, for Blaine spiritually being a part of the show.

Glee Goes Gaga Round 2
This week on Glee on the Rocks we're talking S2E18, "Born This Way."
This extra-long episode (theirs, not ours) is chock full of your Glee favorites: Klaine on staircases, Klaine hugging, and Klaine telling each other their feelings. Also, we get Quinn's backstory and everyone reveals their insecurities.
This episode rates a solid 0 on the Kevin Scale for not even being able to remember anything he did in the episode, and a 6 on the Klainedex, for that hug.
Available now wherever you get your podcasts.

Night of Why
Happy October, y'all. In this episode of Glee on the Rocks we cover S2E17, "Night of Neglect."
Maybe you thought we'd skip this travesty, but we didn't. We're professionals. Once again the Glee Club doesn't know how to budget and needs to raise money for Nationals, so Holly Holliday tells them to put on a benefit concert. Because nothing could possibly go wrong there.
This episode rates a whole .25 on the Kevin Scale and a 1.5 on the Klainedex for good coats.
Thanks again to our sound engineer Adriana. Theme song by Wishonmusic.

Oh, There You Are
We've been looking for you forever. We should practice. We thought we were. We think it's adorable. We think you're adorable. *ahem* Anyway.
That's right, this week is S2E16, "Original Song." The New Directions take original songs (see what they did there, with the title of the episode? genius) to Regionals while Quinn's entirely storyline...uh...sucks. Also, a bird dies. Nothing else happens. Except for the best kiss in all of the Glee's history.
This episode rates an astounding 0 on the Kevin Scale, which is fine, because we hit a 9 on the Klainedex. And this week we'd like to introduce the Cockblocking Keyboard Scale, which rates our first 10. But at what cost?
We'd also like to say thank you to our newest helping hand, Adriana, who has so very kindly and graciously taken over sound editing and engineering for us. A bazillion thanks to her.

Help Blaine Bone
This week we're talking S2E15, "Sexy." Holly Holliday returns to McKinley and discovers that the Glee Club is woefully undereducated about sex. We also discuss Emma and asexuality, and of course, Blaine talking to Papa Burt about Kurt. Because he wants to bone. You know what's next though right? "Original Song."
This episode rates a paltry .5 on the Kevin Scale and a solid 6 on the Klainedex.

Tastes Like Glee
This week's episode is S2E14, "Blame It On the Alcohol."
McKinley is under the throes of a teenage drinking crisis and the Glee Club is there to solve it with the power of K Dollar Sign Ah. Blaine might be bisexual and poor Papa Burt has to deal with his son bringing a boy home for the first time. Sort of.
This episode rates a 2.5 on the Kevin Scale and a middle of the road 5 on the Klainedex.

The Blob Two: Lima Drift
Don't call it a comeback.
This week's episode is S2E13, "Comeback." Don't remember it? Neither did we. And we just watched it. Sue has a new plan to destroy the Glee club and Brit becomes a fashion icon. That's...about it. The sweaters are cute though.
This episode rates a 2.5 on the Kevin Scale and sadly, the Klainedex is straight up nonexistent this week.

Attack of the Blob
We need to talk about the pink sunnies.
This week's episode is S2E12, "Silly Love Songs." It's Valentine's Day at McKinley High and the New Directions are celebrating with those classic emotions of jealousy, infidelity, and mono. Over at Dalton, Kurt has Feelings for Blaine (duh), but Blaine has Feelings for a Junior Manager at the GAP (dang).
This episode rates a 3 on the Kevin Scale and a whopping 7 on the Klainedex. Available now wherever you get your podcasts.

Dalton Was Gay Hogwarts First
This week's episode is S2E11, "The Sue Sylvester Shuffle." The McKinley High football team and the New Directions have to band together for a one-night-only Superbowl half-time performance extravaganza. Also, Blaine loves football and Kurt loves scarves. Now talk at us while we podcast.
This episode rates a 2.5 on the Kevin Scale and a 4 on the Klainedex.

A Glee Christmas In May
Hark! Are those jingle bells in the air? Or are we covering a Christmas episode in the middle of year?
Yep, today's episode is S2E10, "A Very Glee Christmas." At McKinley, it's discovered that Brit still believes in Santa and has a very special wish this year. Meanwhile, at Dalton, Kurt and Blaine have their first Christmas duet. Hearts flutter.

Free Pav
Kurt gets a bird, but no solo, and the New Directions get two songs at Sectionals while everyone else only gets one. Just another episode of Glee.
Today we're talking about S2E9, "Special Education." The Glee club battles The Warblers and the Hipsters for supremacy in Western Ohio, while Finn battles with his jealousy over Rachel and Puck. And everyone hates Rachel this week.

Why Oh Why Oh (Lima) Ohio
Burt and Carole, the real MVPs of the show, get engaged, which means it's time for a big fat Glee wedding.
Today's episode is S2E8, "Furt." Kurt is tasked to plan the wedding in, like, 30 minutes, and Finn is not having it all. Karofsky is still the worst and Carol Burnett shows up to steal the episode. Oh, and Sam and Quinn are still around.

Substituting Goop for Plot
Today's episode is about S2E7, "The Substitute." Gwyneth Paltrow arrives for her first stint as Holly Holliday, the cool sub who sings and dances and respects the kids' opinions. Can we keep her?

The B is Back
That’s right. Today’s episode covers S2E6, “Never Been Kissed.” The incessant bullying of Kurt sends him to Dalton Academy, a gay utopia in the heart of Ohio with a zero tolerance policy and zero teachers. And one Blaine Anderson. Can you hear those opening a capella notes? We can. Yes, other things happen in this episode, but isn’t this why you’re here?

Hot Patootie
Today's episode is about S2E5, "The Rocky Horror Glee Show." Glee takes on the seminal cult classic, Mr. Schue tries to break up a happy relationship, and Kurt continues to have a shit time at McKinley. Also, there are mashups again. Just another day in Limo, Ohio.
But anyway, the next episode is "Never Been Kissed" so what does this episode really matter?

Sam I Am
Today we're talking about S2E4 - "Duets." The Glee Club pairs off for the right to fight for a date night at Breadstix. Meanwhile, your hosts talk about just what was up with the whole "is Sam Evans going to be Kurt Hummel's new love interest" thing that Glee tried to play for a week and half. Spoilers: he's not.
This episode ranks a pathetic -.5 on the Kevin Scale.

Glee! 'Cause They Sing What They Mean (Special Episode)
Today we're talking about Community, but not just any ol' Community episode. We're watching their classic Glee parody, "Regional Holiday Music." Oh yes.
The format is a little different. We watched this episode together and recorded our "live" commentary during it. We invite you to follow along by watching the episode and listening to our commentary at the same time, synched up, so to speak. Otherwise you're going to be listening to a lot of dead air and our laughter.

Glee's Very Special Emmy Bait
This is S2E3, "Grilled Cheesus." Finn sees Jesus in a grilled cheese sandwich, Kurt gets shit on for having different beliefs than the rest of the Glee Club, and Sue Sylvester is a damn good sister.
Did this discussion of religion and faith ring true for you? Or did it hit a hollow note?
This episode ranks a paltry .5 on the Kevin Scale.
Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.
Theme song credit: www.fiverr.com/wishonmusic

It's Glee Against the Music
We're talking S2E2, "Britney/Brittany." Was it all killer, no filler? Or all filler, no killer? You'll have to listen to find out what we thought. We also meet Emma's new beau, Carl, the hunky dentist, and newbie Sam is nowhere to be seen.
The episode ranks a whopping 2.5 Kevins on the Kevin Scale. He got a whole song, y'all!
Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.

Glee's Big Gay Summer
We're talking S2E1, "Audition." Matt Rutherford has flown the coop and the Glee Club is in search of hot new recruits, unless you're Rachel and those new recruits have a killer voice. Also new to the mix is Shannon Beiste, McKinley High's new football coach, and brand new target for Sue and Schue's grade-school bullying.
Basically there's some new stuff happening. We'll tell you what we think of it.
Season 2 kicks off the Kevin Scale with a not-too-shabby 1.5 Kevins.

We Did It, Kids!
That's right, we're talking S1E22, "Journey to Regionals." All of the New Directions' hard work has paid off as they dance and sing their hearts out and...come in third! #thirdornothing At least they tried, right? Quinn gives birth and Finn and Rachel are officially a thing. We think.
When we come back we'll be starting Season 2, and you know what that means...
Also, more importantly, the US Midterm Elections are coming on November 9th. Vote or Die, y'all.

Burn Down the Patriarchy
Today we're talking S1E21, "Funk." We're gonna be honest, we didn't love this one. A lot happened and nothing happened. Quinn found some funky soul and Vocal Adrenaline found their weakness. And we found the canon moment where Kurt speaks French. Allons-y!
This episode rates a paltry .25 on the Kevin Scale.

Rah rah ah-ah-ah!
Anyway, we're back with S1E20, "Theatricality." The Glee Club takes time out of preparing for Regionals by singing a couple Lady Gaga songs and sewing themselves some damn fine costumes. But more importantly, we talk about that pesky rumor that just won't die - the Glee reboot/reunion. Oh yeah.
Also, we ah, also forgot to rate this episode on the Kevin Scale so...rate it yourself! And let us know how you scored it.

We Believe We Can Make It Through This Episode
Today we're discussing S1E19, "Dream On." Neil Patrick Harris joins as Bryan Ryan (Brian Rian?) in an episode crowded with guest stars and Glee reuses a couple songs and plotlines. Again.
This episode rates a full 4.5 Kevins. That's right. We're counting it as a solid 4 Kevins with a .5 bonus bump for total screen time.

Kurt Hummel’s Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre
Today we're talking S1E18, "Laryngitis." That's right, Rachel loses her voice. Or the Glee Club does? Someone does. Thematically, anyway. Also, we've got one of the bigger questions we've ever asked on this podcast...Kurt speaking French: Fandom or Canon? Talk it out.
This episode pulls in an incredible .2 Kevins.

Let's Get Physical
Today we're talking S1E17, "Bad Reputation." Someone's published a list ranking the Glee Club and we take a long detour into Brittany's characterization (or lack thereof). Also, "Run Joey Run" happens. So there's that.
This episode rates a whopping one and a half on the Kevin Quotient.

Who is Carole Hudson?
On today's episode we're discussing S1E16, "Home." April Rhodes is back to help out the Glee club, Sue goes after Mercedes, and Quinn shows some compassion. But most importantly we cover the most pressing issue of the entire show: just who is Carole Hudson?
This episode rates half a Kevin...just for the cake costume. The cake costume saved him.

Papa Didn't Preach
This episode is all about our first tribute episode, S1E15, "The Power of Madonna." We cover Quinn's mini-feminist story arc, how Sue Sylvester would have made an amazing Hedwig, and who would have survived an escape room. Also, we get a bunch more songs this time. Yay.
This episode rates a combined 1 Kevin. We took the average of the Quantity of Kevin vs. the Quality of Kevin...and there was a big difference.

Hello From the Other Side
Today's episode is all about S1E14, "Hell-O." We're chatting about Fanon Finn Hudson v. Canon Finn Hudson, how Jesse St. James is sort of perfect for Rachel, and how Rachel is actually the Jesse St. James of McKinley. Oh, and like true Millennials we argue about pineapple on pizzas.
This episode is rated a measley one quarter Kevin.
Content note: Please be aware that in this episode we discuss the use of date rape drugs in the episode and talk about why rape jokes are never funny.

The McKinley Home for 3rd Rate Mutants
Today we're talking S1E13, "Sectionals" and we'll find out whether or not the Glee Club triumphs over all adversity imaginable to take the trophy. (Spoilers: they do.) We also discuss the McKinley High School Choir Room Zone of Ability and the different second and third rate mutant powers of the Glee Club kids.
We forgot to rate this episode on the Kevin Scale...which probably says enough.
Also, primaries are coming so don't forget to register and Rock the Vote!

Don't Be a Schue
And next week we finally arrive at Sectionals.
This episode rates a sum total of 1 Kevin, but it's up to you to decide the breakdown!

A Male Duck?
Just kidding. We're talking S1E10, "Ballad" and answering the one burning question we all have: just what was Matt Rutherford doing all week? We also devolve into a Very Important Discussion concerning a Glee / Food Network crossover event.
This episode rates 1/4 Kevin (and we've finally figured out just what our own rating system even means).

Dancing With Ourselves
Today we're talking S1E9, "Wheels," as Artie takes the spotlight. We've also got feelings about Kurt and Burt, Tina's stutter, and Sue's backstory. And Glee gets its first kudos from us. First times all around.
This episode rates 3 whole Kevins (a podcast high!)

Double Feature Podcast Show
In our first double-feature episode, we're talking both S1E7, "Throwdown" and S1E8, "Mash-Up." We're discussing the ethics of Mr. Schue handing out fails and felonies to his students, the merits of surprise vs. pre-planned lesbianism, and proving just how cool we were in high school.
This episode rates half of a Kevin (that's 1/4 Kevin for each episode...math!)

That's Not How Sudafed Works
We're talking S1E6, "Vitamin D," featuring the first appearance of the Glee mashup. We also discuss the insane possibilities of a Glee reboot no one wants, and on behalf of the fandom, we demand our share of Ryan Murphy’s 300-million-dollar Netflix deal. Also, register to vote.
This episode rates 2 Kevins (a season high!)

Leaning Tower of Bad Decisions
Tonight we talk about S1E5, "The Rhodes Not Taken," guest starring Kristin Chenoweth. The moral of this episode? Your dreams are bigger than a dude. (Also, just what was Isabelle Wright talking about?)
This episode rates half a Kevin.

Toxic Masculinity Ruins the Party
Tonight we look back at S1Ep4, "Preggers," and talk climate change, how toxic masculinity will always fuck everything up, how the character of Severus Snape is the hill Mav and Emily will die on, and oh yeah, some Glee happens.
This episode ranks only half a Kevin.
We recorded this episode at the beginning of December so. We’re sorry for it being posted now. Sickness, work and holidays happened but hey, now you can ring in the end of this Garbage Year with us. Just what you wanted!

Allegedly
Welcome to episode three of Glee on the Rocks: an unofficial Glee podcast.
Tonight we're discussing S1Ep3, "Acafellas," where we talk ACS, Glee's depiction of masculinity and their lack of consistent characterization, Victor Garber's new show we're gonna make happen, and, as always, Kevin McHale. Allegedly.
Here's what you missed.

Just Some Fake Pregnancy and Some Sadness
This is Episode 2: Just Some Fake Pregnancy and Some Sadness
Today we cover S1Ep2, "Showmance" and talk about the lack of anything in episode 2, how Terri deserves a happy ending at Pier One and Anastasia the Klaine Musical.
Also, Emily and Mav both have one strike (Mandy has none).
Here's what you missed...

This is Not For Schue
Today we’re talking S1E1, "The Pilot." We've got terrible stereotypes, why most of the adults are bad, and how Kevin McHale is the underrated MVP of the show.
So here’s what you missed…on Glee.
