In today's E-Commerce Content Corner we thought it would be a good time to discuss the big sales event of next week - Black Friday and Cyber Monday!
Next Friday the 27th of November is Black Friday followed by Cyber Monday on the 30th. There will be a huge spike in sales over this whole weekend period where sales are expected to be as much as 4x their usual amount.
While typically Black Friday is considered the physical retail store version and Cyber Monday it's online equivalent. With UK and EU lockdowns currently it's likely to see much of these sales taking place online. So you have a great opportunity here to really drive sales especially in the leadup to Christmas where you want to have your products ranking as highly as possible.
However, you have to also be careful you don't sell too much over this period to leave yourself vulnerable when the holiday sales hit in a few weeks and you run out of stock too soon.

UK Lockdown, the Importance of Seller Fulfilled Prime & Amazon Sweden | Global E-Commerce Experts - E-Commerce Corner
You might notice a slight difference in the production of today's, and the next month's, Content Corners as the UK is now in its second lockdown. This just happens to be one of the topics Andy covers in this little e-commerce update.
He touches on the fact that with this Lockdown going up until early December and potentially beyond, people are starting to realise they may be unable to get their loved ones Christmas gifts in retail stores and instead are going to have to turn to e-commerce, much like they did in Spring.
This however, does mean you may run out of stock sooner than you thought - especially if Amazon lock their doors to essential items as they did prior. In this case, having Seller Fulfilled Prime at a 3PL centre is a necessity, making you able to pivot to FBM and continue selling with no interruptions.
As well as this he touches on the fact the Amazon Sweden marketplace is no longer redirecting to Germany, and in fact, has officially launched its own marketplace, Make sure you expand your offers here as it's now another opportunity to get your products in front of more people in a new country.

Seller Fulfilled Prime Orders Limit | Global E-Commerce Experts - E-Commerce Corner
It's an E-Commerce Content Corner today, and Andy is talking about the new daily Prime order limit to help protect you from the busy Q4 period.
With key Q4 dates, such as Black Friday and Christmas just around the corner, Amazon are recommending setting a daily Prime order limit on your account in order to protect you against a sudden increase in Prime orders that you cannot reliably ship to customers.
This limit applies to your Seller Fulfilled Prime ASINs. You can log into the Prime Order Limit Tool and set your own limit before the 13th November, but if no limit is set, one will be set for you starting the 16th November estimated using historical sales data from your account. (note that is could potentially be lower than you'd like and can realistically cater to.)
If you wish to edit your limit, you may do so at any time using the Prime Order Limit Feature. We advise that you set a reasonable limit that your business can cope with.
Once the daily Prime order limit is reached, the Prime badge will be temporarily removed from your Seller Fulfilled Prime ASINs until after the cut-off time of that shipping day, when the Prime badge will be reinstated.

Amazon FBA Key Brexit Dates | Global E-Commerce Experts - Compliance Corner
It's a Compliance Corner double bill this week as we need to stress the importance of some key dates you need to be aware of, for FBA changes before Brexit.
We already covered it in a recent social post, but in case you missed it listen to hear Andy discuss the upcoming changes and what you'll need to do in order to prepare.
Saturday 14th November 2020 - Cross-border inventory removal orders will cease.
Friday 18th December 2020 - PAN-EU FBA inventory transfers between the UK and EU will stop.
Monday 21st December 2020
Cross-border fulfilment through EFN and PAN-EU FA starts wrapping up.
It is essential to take action and get VAT registered in both the UK and an EU marketplace country if you wish to continue selling in both the UK and in the EU. If you don't get this done by November, you will not be selling in Europe or UK (whichever one you're not registered in) come January 1st 2021. Now is the time to act.

Make the most of Amazon Netherlands and Sweden before Brexit | Global E-Commerce Experts - Compliance Corner
Sweden and the Netherlands are the newest additions to Amazon's EU marketplaces and are huge opportunities that are still being totally overlooked.
In today's Compliance Content Corner, Andy is here to discuss how to expand your offers internationally to these markets and offer buyers in these markets much quicker shipping times than if it were coming from where it might be stored currently - the UK, or one of the EU 4 if VAT registered there.

Product Relabelling | Global E-Commerce Experts - Compliance Corner
Ensuring label compliance is a big part of ensuring your products and accounts stay active on Amazon. But there are some other aspects of labeling to consider that we can also assist with - and that is Product Relabelling.
If you want to change the SKU of a product on Amazon in order to give it a 'refresh'. You are able to get it sent to a 3PL company such as ourselves to re-barcode the items and issue them a new SKU. There are a few reasons you might want to do this, for example, if you have a product with an average of negative reviews, you may want to close down that listing and create it again with a new SKU.
Unfortunately, this isn't as simple as closing down the old listing and starting a new one, as the physical packaging and labeling will still have the same ASIN and Barcode of the previous listing which needs changing.

HMRC is a government organisation responsible for the collection of taxes, the payment of some forms of state support and the administration of other regulatory regimes.
