Wow, the Holiday Season is already upon us, and next Sunday is our "Live Call-In Spectacle" episode, but before that we are thrilled to have spent some time in the studio with Alyssa Hankey. It's been a lot of music and miles since we last chatted and it was a real treat to have her live in studio performing some of her songs. Tune in to hear some real gutsy music and stories from a real-life local troubadour.
We'll also feature music from The Forty Nineteens, Acoustic Fingers, brand new stuff from The Rumble, and some Mo Nelson.

We'll talk to his son Packy Reep and we'll also talk with long time friend and owner of The Meatlocker Recording Studio Jim Harpel. We'll share some stories, laughs, and great memories as well as some of the music that features Derek, including a classic tune he wrote, the last song he recorded shortly before his passing, a throwback to the Undercover Band, and some Butler Boyz/Meat Hook. We'll also discuss the upcoming Celebration of Life for Derek on Oct 14.

Fostering Music's Summer Shindig
Tonight, we talk with Christy Stitt of Fostering Music about the upcoming Fostering Music's Summer Shindig at Paradise Park PA this coming weekend. A full weekend of great local music that supports putting musical instruments and lessons into the hands of kids in the foster system. Tonight at 7p on the Grass Roots on The Rock Station 97.7 show we welcome to the studio Ron Balla, Mogie Magill, and Dano Galie from Back the Blue to discuss their upcoming event Back The Blue AKV indoor Concert Event on February 25, as well as other events and activities throughout the year. The gentlemen and those who are a part of this organization perform vital fundraising and awareness activities for those on the frontline in our communities.
