Advent is the beginning of the church calendar, and it is a time to look back the first coming of Jesus to prepare for His second coming. Hope is the theme of week 1.

In the darkest seasons of your life, you can find hope that God is working all things together for the good of those who love Him. Place your full hope and trust in the Lord to be renewed in strength. To place your hope in the Lord means:

1. To wait with expectation.

2. To be intertwined with the Lord.

3. To choose Jesus.

The Scriptures have outlined for us the kind of worship that God desires. Join us in this closing message to our series on worship to learn the type of worshippers God is seeking.

1. We worship God through faith-filled pursuit.

2. We worship God with exuberant praise.

3. We worship God passion.

In this weeks sermon, Jordan dives into what worship is and how we can use worship in our lives. Worship is agreeing with who God is. Worship is a matter of the heart and worship is a weapon we use to fight against the enemy.

In this message, we continue our series on worship with talking the the 'why' of worship. Jesus said the greatest command is to love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. Worship is an expression of our love to God.

We worship God because He deserves it.

Worshipping God brings clarity.

Worshipping God sanctifies us.

In week one of our series on worship, we through the scriptures to find out what exactly is worship. Everything that had been made was made by Him and for Him. All things and all people are made to worship. The question is, what is getting our worship?

Worship is to bow.

Worship is to sacrifice.

Worship is to adore.

In todays message, we discuss the two sacraments that we celebrate as a church - communion and water baptism. Sacraments are sacred moments, encounters with God. Communion is an invitation from God to see Jesus dead, risen, and coming again. It is an invitation to receive Christ and proclaim Christ. It is an invitation to renew the vows we made to Christ by remembering our salvation.

Water baptism is sign of our cleansing. It is a symbol of dying to self and raising to a new life with Christ. It is a public declaration of our commitment to Christ. It is the beginning of a life of more with God.

Those who receive freedom in Christ are able to sustain it by giving it away.

In this message from Luke 8, we see Jesus deliver a man held captive, teach him, and then send him to tell his community about it. In the message we point out:

1. He was bound over and over again.

2. He was isolated.

3. The demons recognized and feared Jesus.

4. Jesus was not afraid of his issues.

5. He became a disciple of Jesus.

6. Jesus trusted him to tell the whole region about it.

Sustaining new life in Christ takes work. If we want to grow in our intimacy with Jesus, it will take intentionality and discipline to want to grow. A healthy apple tree doesn’t strain to produce fruit. Fruit is a by-product from the daily nourishment it receives. So is the same with our spiritual life.

1) No one grows closer to Jesus by accident.

2) We have everything we need to live a life for Jesus.

Goodness, Knowledge, Self-Control, Perseverance, Godliness, Mutual Affection, and Love


More information about Jesus or the Bible does not save you, you must be born again through the water and the Spirit. In this message, we peer into the conversation Jesus has with Nicodemus in John 3. We discuss what it means to be born again, to be transformed by the Gospel.

What you believe about Jesus impacts your eternal destiny and the way that you live your life.

In the final message in our I AM series, Jesus makes the claim that He is the true vine which is the source of life. His Father is the Gardner, and we are the branches. As the branches, we are simply to remain in Him so that we produce fruit.

In this message, we discuss what is the fruit that we are to produce in our lives and how do we do it.

What you believe about Jesus, impacts the way that you live your life. In this message, we look at John 14:1-6 where Jesus claims, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life."

1. Jesus is the only way to eternal life in heaven.

2. Jesus is the truth that leads to freedom. 

3. There is no life apart from Jesus. 

What areas of your life do you need freedom?

Jesus is the author of life and has power over death.

His resurrection power is at work today in the hearts of those who believe in him. Do you believe this? Do you live this? What we believe about Jesus impacts the way that we live our lives. What we believe about Jesus impacts the way that we handle grief.

Four things to do when grief comes:

1. Spend time in silent reflection upon God and His will.

2. Humbly repent that His ways are better.

3. Have self-control in the face of adversity.

4. Have confident patience knowing that He works all things for the good of those who love Him.

Jesus is the great I AM, and He is all that we need. Jesus is the Gate and the Good Shepherd. Because He is the gate, he is the way to salvation, finding pasture, having abundant life and knowing His voice. Because He is the Good Shepherd, He cares for us, He leads - not drives, and He knows you.

What you believe about Jesus impacts the way that you live your life.

Jesus is the great I AM, and He is all that we need. Jesus is the light of the world. The Light of the world is conquering the darkness one believer at a time. He is conquering the darkness in you, delivering you to the light. He then, makes you the light of the world to continue bringing people into the light, into eternal life.

John 6:22-40

Jesus is the great I AM, and He is all that we need. He is the eternal bread of life. He can satisfy every desire, every hunger, and every thirst you have for eternity. His only desire is that you believe in Him for who He is not what He can do for you. To believe in Him is to se him and give everything up to be near Him.

Jesus prayed for each of us to be connected with God and one another so that others would know His love. It is time that we take personal responsibility for sharing the Gospel so that others may be saved. In the final message from our Connect series, we talk about how to connect others with God by intentionally having Good, God, and Gospel conversations.

Some steps to take towards having those conversations are to:

3. Practice

4. Pursue

We were made for Biblical Community. 3 Characteristics that make up biblical community is Connection, Protection, and Growth. Like the 4 friends who laid their paralyzed friend before Jesus, our Biblical community, when healthy, has the ability to stand in the gap for us and “go the extra mile” not to fix us, but to help us fix our eyes on Jesus!

In this message, we look at some practical ways to cultivate a strong connection with God. A connection with God starts with surrender. From a place of surrender, we cultivate a relationship through:

1. We connect with God through prayer.

2. We connect with God through the Scripture.

3. We connect with God through worship.

4. We connect with God through service.

5. We connect with God through the Table.

Knowing God is the key to eternal life. Making God known is the key to abundant life.

There is more to this life than what happens in this life. As Christians, we believe there is life after death, and the choices we make now impact eternity. In this week’s message, we looked into the Two Judgments that come on Judgment Day, what our responses should be on that day, and three practical ways to be prepared for eternity:

In this message, we look at Luke 6:46-49 where Jesus describes two builders. The wise person hears the commands of Jesus and puts them into practice. The foolish person hears the commands of Jesus and doesn't put them into practice.

1. There is no wisdom apart from knowing and fearing God.

2. Those who have a true knowledge and fear of God put their faith in Him for salvation.

3. Those who put their faith in Jesus live in obedience to Him from a place of gratitude.

4. What foundation have you built your life upon?

In today's message on Acts 6:1-7, we take a look at how the early church handled conflict, divided responsibility, and served so that the Gospel would continue to spread!

We see a church marked by diversity, conflict management, empowerment, and service.

In this message, we look at the Marks of the Early Church in Acts 5:12-42. Here we see a church that is marked by 1. Signs and Wonders, 2. Opposition, and 3. Fear of the Lord.

May God cultivate in our community a healthy fear of Himself that leads to intimacy with Him, bold witness, signs, and wonders. When the Gospel makes an impact, there is always opposition.

In this message, we look at the story of remarkable surrender and generosity by Barnabas in Acts 4 and the judgement from God caused by the lying of Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5.

May we be like Barnabas who was totally surrendered, not Ananias who was only putting on a show.

In this message, we dive into Acts 3 and 4. We discover a church marked by ordinary obedience, a personal story, and an unstoppable mission. May we become a church marked by these things.

In this message, we looked at three marks of the early church found in Acts 2:42-47 and Acts 4:32-35. We discovered that the early church was marked by SACRIFICIAL WORSHIP, SUPERNATURAL UNITY, RADICAL GENEROSITY. May we become a church marked by these things.
