Music with Alex O'aiza
Alex O'aiza is a Mexican-American indie artist from Dallas, Texas with a sound that mixes snappy pop hooks with gritty rock riffs and the rolling beats of Alternative RnB, and songs that are led by poetic lyrics exploring the Gen Z experience in a fast-changing world.
Releasing a string of buzzy singles in 2019 led to press acclaim, local and college radio support and a label deal with Saint In The City Records at the start of 2020. Armed with a batch of hook-driven and genre-blurring new songs recorded with producers Caleb Turman and Austin Bello from celebrated pop-punk band Forever The Sickest Kids, O'aiza released new singles throughout the year and dropped his debut EP, Out Of My Mind, in August.
The EP garnered widespread independent playlist support and radio airplay. In specific the title track was soon playlisted on KXT Texas, Idobi Radio, Alt 103.7 FM and XS Manchester radio. Out Of My Mind was also featured by tastemakers at Alt Press, XS Noize, Central Track and Stereoboard, who all praised O'aiza's combo of super-catchy pop hooks and indie-electro beats. O'aiza returned on 2021 with two stellar singles Runnin' 2 Death and How Your Love Feels where he showcased a more confident rock sound that was immediately featured on Spotify's All New Rock playlist. Alex is set to come back with bigger and bolder records than ever before, as he further pushes the boundaries of his artistry.

Scavenger Hunts with Brad Holley
Brad is a husband, a father of two, and a lifelong resident of the North Dallas area. He’s solely responsible for “Dallas Side Quest”, a cryptic and public outdoor adventure game which was implemented throughout the North Dallas area.
During the weekdays, he’s a senior designer for Randy Angell Designs, one of the pre-eminent luxury outdoor designers in the nation, where he recently won 4th place in the “Million Dollar Pool Challenge” in 2022. These days, he has less free time than ever before, but when he finds some, he enjoys traveling, documentaries, audiobooks, games, bourbon & craft beer, home renovation & carpentry, writing, designing, flying around on (and falling off of) his OneWheel, all things relating to sociology, psychology, history, philosophy and politics, and most importantly, the never-ending pursuit of trying to be a good dad.
When he’s not designing award-winning backyards, spending time with his family, or creating ambitious public games, you can find him supporting and spreading awareness for the pro-LGBTQIA+ organization known as “Kin-dom Community” where he serves on the board of directors. Along with his counterpart, pastor Pepa Paniagua, he’s also the co-host of their live-streamed monthly podcast, “Kin-dom Conversations”. He’s always proud to point out that it’s perhaps one of the only places on the entire internet where you’ll find an atheist and a pastor actually working together to do something positive.
Kin-dom Community was founded by an openly queer pastor in order to create a space for those who have been harmed and rejected by traditional religious institutions. The organization is working diligently to create regular social meetups, offering support to LGBTQIA+ youth and their families, friends and allies, and attempting to create a community (both virtual and IRL) where people from all backgrounds, faiths, orientations and identities can come together and find understanding and compassion. Their greatest accomplishment thus far has been the successful launching of the very first LGBTQIA+ summer camp for kids in the state of Texas (and I believe, only the second in the nation), and they are well on their way to expanding their camp offerings to different age groups in several different areas throughout the nation. It’s not a stretch to say that Kin-dom’s work could very well be saving lives.

Farming with Chris Williams
Breezy Farms is an initiative in self sufficiency. We grow and provide as much tangible food as possible to our family, both close and distant. We partner with neighborhood families that express the interest in gardening and becoming self sufficient but don't necessarily have the know how or the resources to start.
All you need is a backyard and the desire and we will include yours with ours. If you are willing, all we ask is that you specialize in one product, be it meat birds, egg hens, potatoes, herbs , tomatoes or whatever, your efforts will be aided and half your yield will be given back to you and yours, and the other half will be given to Breezy Farms for the goal of stocking a community grocery. A grocery that is supplied by the community of believers. If you are interested call 214.356.9379.

Academic Mentorship with Dara Ashley Freemon
For the past decade, Dara Ashley Freemon has held leadership positions throughout her academic and professional career. Leadership was an early passion of Dara’s and manifested into her passions about equal education opportunity, mentorship, and paying it forward. This young Dallas native started The Dara Ashley Foundation to provide mentorship, scholarship, and leadership programs for students who might be in the same place she was not too long ago. Dara started her academic career at Howard University, a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). While attending Howard University, she learned a great deal and not just in the classroom. Outside of school, the university’s commitment to serving its community was one of her greatest takeaways. She participated in the MET Choice program, a mentorship program, which she guided high school girls that attended an alternative school. This experience had a great impact on Dara as she was exposed to the youth of diverse lifestyles and cultures.
After Dara graduated from Howard University, she continued her education and attained her master’s degree in science from Towson University. Not only did she continue her education, but she also continued to mentor. Towson University started a program where collegiate students could be academic and youth mentors. In particular, every Friday afternoon, she led a 6th-grade science class in the Baltimore City school district. At the beginning of the class, she would introduce them to a fun science experiment. Following the experiment, her goal was to enlighten, educate, and edify the young students. Immediately after graduating from Towson University, Dara missed connecting with young minds and influencing the next generation. She created The Dara Ashley Foundation to create a lasting impact with new opportunities.

The Dirty Shirts with Nick Santa Maria
Like so many of us that were re-discovering ourselves through the existential crisis of the pandemic, The Dirty Shirts singer/songwriter Nick Santa Maria was doing the same and found himself diving headfirst into soaring guitars, disco beats, and sequined mod-inspired threads. Having found himself off the road for the first time after years of playing as a sideman for other artists, Nick finally had the time to return to writing songs of his own, constructing what would become the soundtrack to his new reality. The lockdown gave him time & perspective into what he truly wanted to do with his life, and rather than building someone else’s temple, he’d build his own.
After reconnecting & writing a handful of songs with childhood friend & fellow studio/touring musician Cameron Moreland and experimenting with a heady spectrum of soundscapes, The Dirty Shirts was born. What arose married the nostalgia of the Warped Tour era of music they grew up playing with the shimmering atmospheres and image of the glam rock and pop music they’d come to love.
The combined music and aesthetic that The Dirty Shirts have cultivated, dubbed “Dance Floor Rock n Roll”, was a response to the drudgery we universally felt from exhaustive quarantines. Nick writes to remind people of the uninhibited times and badass music of the past, with the hope of debaucherous times to come. Songs that remind us of blaring music with your friends, shouting the lyrics deep into the early hours, and not worrying about the vaccination status of your Uber driver.
Proudly wearing influences from The Strokes to Gorillaz, with hints of David Bowie on their sleeves, The Dirty Shirts hit the ground running with live shows throughout their native Texas in March 2021 after the long awaited release of vaccinations. Soon after, they released multiple singles and a music video, and recorded their debut full-length album with Grammy-winning producer Tre Nagella, which they released on May 6, 2022. With a string of national tour dates planned for 2022, a love for the past, a hopeful eye on the future, and a drink in hand, The Dirty Shirts are bringing their soundtrack for the new normal (if there ever was one) to the masses.

Whether she’s hosting on-camera events for globally recognized brands, recording voiceover work for international clients, or climbing up the Billboard charts with a country single, her versatile talent, passion, and professionalism put her in a class of her own.
A career in the entertainment world was Sarah’s single focus from a very young age. One of her family’s favorite memories is Sarah… at age 3… with a headset and a microphone belting out country songs in the garage. That microphone stayed firmly in her hand throughout her teen years as she evolved into a hometown celebrity… regularly singing the National Anthem for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins…and later branching out across the country to perform for the LA Clippers, the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York teams the Mets and Knicks. Sarah was also a constant presence on Pittsburgh television and radio as the commercial host, jingle singer and voice actor for Eat n Park restaurant…a multi-state restaurant chain. During Sarah’s senior year of high school, the allure of country music beckoned and she found herself traveling between Nashville and Pittsburgh…recording her first professional album. She quickly found success in the music city opening for Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Sarah Evans, Martina McBride and other established artists…as well as charting her own hit single, “In The Meantime” on Billboard.
With an inborn drive to expand all areas of her career, Sarah packed her bags and moved to Orlando when the Walt Disney World Entertainment group came calling. Her captivating voice can be heard in Disney Parks around the world, whether it is in song or voiceover. Sarah’s uniquely engaging voice can also be heard on spots for CocaCola, Cracker Barrel, Birchbox, Chick-Fil-A, Kwikset Locks and many other corporate clients. Sarah specializes in Commercial, eLearning, Explainer and Corporate Narration genres as well as Telephony and jingle singing…all done from her state of the art home studio equipped with Source Connect. One of her current fun projects is hosting a biweekly webcast with Blare Media called “Crew Talk” which consists of Sarah…in her friendly, conversational style… interviewing a panel of experts in the entertainment field…following up with a question and answer session. Sarah also continues to hone her skills in front of the camera with hosting appearances for ESPN, WalMart, Royal Caribbean and the Marriott Corporation.

Ballet with Alexandra Farber
Originally from Washington D.C., Alexandra Farber is a mixed media artist with a passion for telling narrative. Alexandra trained as a classical ballet dancer from a young age, a pursuit that took her to schools from DC to San Francisco, New York City, and Houston. She joined the Texas Ballet Theater in 2012 and has risen to a principal artist within the company where she continues to perform. All the while, her creativity never stopped outside of the dance studio; she continued to create using other mediums in the visual art world. Alexandra pursued a Bachelor of Science in psychology through the University of Maryland Global Campus, graduating with honors. Though she trained in classical drawing and painting while getting her degree, Alexandra's primary medium is collage. Inspired by artists like George Herms, Fred Tomaselli, Lorna Simpson, and Dana Newmann, Alexandra uses found objects, including organic materials from nature, to tell the narratives of life, from the mundane to the dramatic. Her choreography is the dance language collage of these ideas.

Motivational Speaking with Terrance Thomas
Terrance Thomas has dedicated his life to transformation. He believes that we all can change for the better. He grew up in Fort Worth Texas where he was often on the streets begging for money to support his mothers drug addiction. “Excuse me sir, could you help us to get something to eat or go buy us something?” These words transformed Terrance and were also part of the hustle that allowed his mother’s expensive addiction to continue. Terrance stayed with family members and friends as he grew up. Some way or another, he would end up on the cold streets of Fort Worth with ripped shoes begging for money whenever his mother was released from prison again and again. Terrance was embarrassed and had disdain for himself. That is until his youth minister Adam introduced him to the love of Jesus Christ.

Teaching Entrepreneurship with David Grubbs
In 2004, David was wrapping up his freshman year at Baylor University and started his first business. His parents told him they would give him money towards his MBA or his first business, and he immediately took the seed funding and ran with it. By college graduation however, the company was not yet large enough to support a full-time salary, so David moved in with his sister who was working on her Masters degree. He slept on a Coleman air mattress for 9 months on the living room floor and went on the road pitching investors to raise a round of funding. The first 40 investors turned him down and he was down to just $300 in savings with the reality approaching he was going to have to go out and get a job. He firmly believed that God had a plan and he had to just keep going. After nearly 100 pitches, five investors came on board and provided the $250,000 in funding required to grow the business. The same day the round of funding was closed, his air mattress popped, and he was able to get his own apartment and buy a real bed.
Fast forward to today and David has started over twenty businesses (several of those with Boss Club co-founder Charlie Gasmire). In 2012 David and Charlie co-founded Vendevor, an ecommerce software business which successfully sold to Payscape in July of 2015.
David’s recent successes include First Centurion Group which sold a variety of consumer goods from its own line of skin care products and work-out supplements and generated nearly $40 million in online sales and grew to over 50 employees and was one of the fastest growing start-ups in 2013.
November 2019 David sold Pegasus Fulfillment, to Selery Fulfillment, a Mark Cuban backed company. Pegasus Fulfillment was a company he built with his father Mike Grubbs, which handled inventory warehousing and online order fulfillment for over a dozen different ecommerce businesses including his own.
With many startups under his belt David has learned there is a recipe to starting businesses which enables businesses to be launched faster and with less risk. Those hard-learned lessons from nearly two decades were disseminated into a unique Entrepreneurship course he taught at Baylor University with Dr. Kendall Artz and Dr. Les Palich where 12 hand selected students were given funding to start real businesses over the course of a semester. The program was a success and the core of Boss Club’s curriculum is based on all the principles taught in that college level course.
In his free time David loves flying (as a private pilot), riding horses, scuba diving, reading, learning Spanish, and participating in his church. David lives in a small rural town in Costa Rica and is married to his wife of four years, Daniella, who runs her own not-for-profit equine therapy center to help people with disabilities. Their first son, Sam, was born in 2020.

Painting with Desmond Blair
Desmond Blair is a Dallas-based artist and problem solver and has been ever since childhood. Blair was born without fingers. Through navigating learning how to write without hands in school, Desmond discovered a love for art and animation. It was this love for animation and animated storytelling that inspired Blair to expand his artistic talents. Blair’s tenacity, determination, and drive empowered him to graduate from high school at the age of 16. Blair later earned his undergraduate degree from University of Texas at Dallas where he honed his traditional abilities and transferred them to digital media focusing on animation and computer graphics. Blair later returned to UTD where he received his MFA in Art and Technology with a concentration on the development of computer graphics and the study/analysis of emerging media trends. He now uses his art to encourage others, promote limb difference awareness and raise money for charities in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Desmond hopes to one day use his art to launch a scholarship fund that will assist graduating seniors born with limb differences in the pursuit of their academic goals. Desmond’s artwork can be found at the Pencil on Paper Gallery in Dallas.

Motherhood with Carla Majeno
My name is Carla Majeno. When I was almost 18, I had a plan. I knew how everything would turn out and as long as I stayed on this path everything would be great because it would be according to plan. Everything changed when I found out I was pregnant. I spent countless hours on YouTube looking up videos of pregnancy and what it means to be a “mom” and felt like I needed to know everything in order to be prepared. However, as much as I planned, I realized that nothing really ever goes to plan anymore… and that is okay.
Motherhood is a journey and it’s not one that can be planned and pinpointed every step of the way. Truly, just being along for the ride is one of the best gifts. We stress out and spend so much time thinking about the end result, we always forget to enjoy the journey.
I started blogging shortly after Zoe was one. At first it was to help me cope through my mental health and to also talk about things I had learned and what I wish I had known beforehand, but it turned into so much more. I realized that motherhood and life as a mom is not always easy or fun, but always beautiful, and I want to share that on my page. I want to spread positivity to mothers and show them how beautiful they are and how powerful motherhood truly is.

Halal Food with Mohammad Altawaha
Mohammad Altawaha, also known as “Abu Omar,” is a serial entrepreneur based out of Houston, Texas.
Originally from a small village in Jordan, Altawaha moved to the United States to pursue a Master’s Degree in 2008. During his time in school, Altawaha worked in various restaurants across Houston & rediscovered his passion for cooking.
Equipped with his own set of signature recipes and firsthand knowledge of restaurant management, Altawaha set out to fill a void he felt was present in his community’s food scene. He opened his first venture, a food truck called Abu Omar Taco, in 2011.
Initially, Abu Omar Taco served a mix of Mexican and Mediterranean dishes that adhered to halal food practices. However, Altawaha soon realized the overwhelming demand was for their more Mediterranean dishes, such as chicken shawarma & gyros. Altawaha then decided to shift the menu focus to serve entirely Mediterranean classics. With the new focus and menu offerings, the decision was made to change the name of the business to Abu Omar Halal.
After opening several food trucks in the Houston area, Altawaha, set his sights on the rest of the lone star state. Opening new locations in the Austin, San Antonio, & Dallas area in record time, setting his brand up for success. Over the last year, they have quickly expanded across the United States with over 25 food truck and brick & mortar locations in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Florida and California.
This success has led Altawaha to venture into other restaurant endeavors, including another successful multi-location Mediterranean restaurant called Arabella Mediterranean Kitchen + Grill, as well as a fusion food truck called Coreanos.

Texicana with Dev Wulf
DEV WULF
The story of the native Houstonian begins with his hometown as the opening backdrop for a long journey in musical identity. From playing in bars on Saturdays and churches on Sundays, the Texicana frontman would gain a versatile understanding of multiple genres spanning from rock, hip-hop, blues, and country.
Since his move to Dallas in 2008, the Americana singer would go on to open for national acts including Shane McDonald, Leagues, Grace Potter, Devon Gilfillian, Black Joe Lewis, Sir Earl Toon (Kool & the Gang), and Grady Spencer & the Work while performing with the band and as himself. While continuing his active work with Texicana, he is currently sitting in as a lead guitarist and vocalist for rapper, Moses Uvere.
TEXICANA!
“What would happen if we started a band together?”
As Chris J Norwood and Dev Wulf recall, that’s the resonating question at a round table in an old East Dallas bar; just audibly above an old cash-operated jukebox. Lakewood Landing would be the birthplace of a new idea between a trio of musicians and a few beers. The buzzing room of ideas would later evolve into an Americana outfit with joining members, Chris Pitts and Kelly Huffman, offering a unique rhythm section drawing from folk, rock, country, and jazz.
Starting with little known icons, Big Star and Mudcrutch as influencing introductions, Texicana’s early releases gave insight to their creative beginning with cover tunes, followed by their debut EP, No Good Reason. The Dallas Observer describes Texicana’s nostalgic Americana and bluesy rock “as good for the soul,” during a time when COVID-19 closed down the country. Their latest offering, “Little Bit of Trouble,” continues to offer that good-for-the-soul feeling with songs that, as Central Track put it, “…feel like a trip down Elm Street with the windows down.”
Texicana has gone on to win Best Folk & Americana Act and Best New Act of 2020 by the Dallas e-magazine Central Track, nominated Best Americana Act by the Dallas Observer, and winner of 91.7 KXT’s Tiny Cake Contest. They’ve shared the stage with national acts Grace Potter, Devon Gilfillian, Black Joe Lewis, Southern Avenue, and Grady Spencer & The Work.
Their EP, “Little Bit of Trouble,” is the latest to be released by Texicana and is available digitally wherever music is available.

Clothing Chat with Mishaal Tanveer
Growing up in a household as a first generation Pakistani American wasn’t easy. Although it came with a set of high expectations, I was driven to challenge myself to do the best I could and reach my own personal goals. I found myself struggling to find hobbies that were appropriate for both of my cultures, when I was inspired by my mom's talent of sewing Pakistani dresses. I loved shadowing her and learning how to sew. After several years, I was planning my wedding, and it was extremely difficult to find the dresses and jewelry I wanted. Shortly after my COVID wedding, I decided to take a new step and open my online shop, Beauty by Mishaal. I offer the best quality in South Asian dresses, clothing and accessories and am known for my affordability. I am grateful to have so many loyal customers. Their feedback is what keeps me going!
Shoutout to @lightsandgin for the featured headshot for this episode!

Sustainable Fashion with Meghan Farmer
Meghan Forest Farmer has woven her way through the fashion pipeline over the past 10 years, but currently works as a fashion stylist, both on photo shoot sets, and in the wardrobes of her personal styling closet. After learning of the unfortunate, darker side of the fashion industry, specifically within garment manufacturing, she made sustainability and ethical fashion a mission for her personal life, and to educate her styling clients on. While volunteering with a local organization, visiting incarcerated women, she learned of the great difficulty of finding dignified work after incarceration. She made the connection between the fashion industry stealing dignity from the garment workers it exploits, and women in her city who deserved to have their dignity restored. The idea for her newest business venture was formed; The Bright Factory. A cut and sew factory in Fort Worth, TX, creating sustainable t-shirts, by the hands of women being given another chance. When she is not on a photoshoot set, or running a business, she enjoys being a goofball with her amazing husband, karaoke and dance parties, and serving her community and church.

Djing with XDezend
It is said, "art is often a reflection of the artist." This statement is definitely accurate with XDezend, a music producer and DJ based in Dallas, Texas. The name XDezend, a kind of acronym for a fictional word EX-Descend, represents how the artist is no longer descending into many lows in life: the lows which stemmed from mental illness and alcohol/drug addiction. After overcoming numerous obstacles and challenges XDezend hopes to raise awareness for mental health and to show others that no matter where they have been or what they have gone through, they can still conquer their demons and follow their dreams.
XDezend's music is dark and intense, just like a reflection of his life. While performing, the artist is continually mixing from one song to another and frequently splicing other songs together, quickly creating live mashups with precision. His unconventional DJ style stems from his ability to let his mind and imagination run wild within a house music format, while simultaneously reading the crowd and playing the music that the audience wants to hear. He is a fresh artist releasing his first single, The Underground, in September 2021 under Gangsta House Records. With many plans in 2022, XDezend will have more music releases coming soon!

Personal Training with Chris Brainard
Chris Brainard's passion for health and performance all started from growing up as a kid and playing multiple sports. He was an undersized athlete through middle school and high school and knew if he was going to make a name for myself, he was going to need to outwork everyone else.
Going into middle school and high school, Chris dedicated himself to become one of the top athletes in the area. His sophomore year, he chose to solely focus on being a wide receiver for Southlake Carroll High School. This was a big shift for Chris as it forced him to continue to do extra work when he knew everyone else was resting. It was his way of knowing that he was getting one stop closer to his goal.
Within Chris Brainard's junior year of high school, he ended up starting at wide receiver for one of the top programs in the country. Through this experience of learning from great Coaches such as Todd Dodge and Kirk Rogers, he learned the fundamentals of discipline and always going the extra mile.
After high school, Chris went on to play football at the University of North Texas. In 2015, he graduated with a BS in Kinesiology. Shortly thereafter, Chris chose to focus on helping people become the strongest version of themselves through fitness and performance and took over a family-owned small business that his dad started 21 years ago… As of today, APE Fitness & Performance has helped hundreds of athletes and adults achieve optimal health and performance.

Growing up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, he gained appreciation for color and art through his environment as well as from his Mexican-American heritage. In his early 20's, Chris started painting murals as a free-lance artist. That opened doors for him in many ways including a career as a production designer, where he was able to use his art to create designs and projects with companies like Warner Brothers, DreamWorks, Marriott International, and many more. Over the last 20 years, Chris has grown his knowledge and talents in both art and business and has been able to merge them together to meet his clients' needs with great professionalism. Recent projects and murals have allowed him to expand his creativity and grow his brand not only here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but all over the world. Outside of his faith and his family, art has been one of the biggest driving forces in Chris' life. He has always had the passion and desire to share his art with as many people as he could, whether it be through canvas paintings hanging in the lobby of a hotel, a mural displayed on the busy streets of Fort Worth, a unique one-of-a-kind commissioned painting hanging in the privacy of one's home, or a mural surrounding a crib in a baby's room bringing joy to them as they drift off to sleep. Chris' ability to captivate his audience through his use of color and design, truly make him a unique artist that adapts and grows in each piece he creates. We hope that his art has in some way spoken to you, inspired you, and given you joy for today and hope for a wonderful tomorrow.

Vintage Fashion with Unusual Retail
Robbie started Unusual Retail in 2016, mostly out of a need to shop. Vintage shopping for him started in the mid 1990s as a teen shopping for bellbottoms to sell to friends.
But the real story of Unusual Retail starts in October of 2020 when Robbie met Amy. Both are obsessed with 1960s décor and fashion, both spent many years in retail, and they are the same type of weird. It’s the perfect pairing. Robbie spent years working his way up through the retail ranks from store manager, district manager, and corporate operations. Amy worked with designer brands and eventually as a buyer for big box retailers.
When you shop Unusual Retail you are not only carrying on the story of a well loved item, but helping two lovebirds follow their life-long dream of owning their own retail store.

Taekwondo with Melanie Gibson
Melanie Gibson began taekwondo training at age ten. At age twelve she stopped taekwondo to pursue other interests, and resumed training in her early thirties.
Although Melanie had academic and career achievements throughout her life, she struggled with mental illness and low self-esteem. After making some progress through psychiatric treatment and counseling, she knew she needed to do something more substantial to make lasting changes. Returning to taekwondo had always been in the back of her mind, and the timing was right.
Taekwondo proved to be not only an opportunity to re-learn a beloved skill from her childhood, but also a means to build her self-esteem and confidence, and heal from old wounds. It brought a needed excitement and purpose to her life, which she shares in her blog Little Black Belt (http://littleblackbelt.com). While continuing to work at her full-time job, Melanie dedicated herself to taekwondo training and earned her first degree black belt in 2015. In 2017, she earned her second degree black belt. Although a pandemic and knee injury sidelined her training in 2020, Melanie plans to return to taekwondo and test for her third degree black belt.
She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Texas Woman’s University, a Master of Library Science from the University of North Texas, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington. Melanie has worked in the healthcare industry since 2004, with roles as a hospital librarian, corporate trainer, and learning designer.

Ice Shaker with Chris Gronkowski
Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Chris Gronkowski was the middle of the 5 Gronkowski brother's. Playing sports throughout his childhood and high school, he accepted a full scholarship to play division 1 football. He graduated from the Univ. of Arizona with a bachelors degree in Accounting.
Chris went into the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2010 and went on to start for 3 different NFL teams including the Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts, and the Denver Broncos.
After his NFL career ended, he and his wife Brittany created and grew their online personalize gift shop into one of the biggest and best personalized gift stores online. With their successful company Everything Decorated running smoothly, Chris saw another opportunity in the market.
After his NFL career ended, Chris continued to live an active lifestyle. During a hot summer Texas day, Chris was at the gym lifting weights. When he went to take a sip of water from the bottle he had brought with him it was warm and had a lingering taste from the protein shake he had made the day before. Frustrated with the shaker bottles he had been using for year, he went home to try to find something better. Chris noticed there was nothing on the market that fit his needs and set out to make a product that would be ideal for not just the gym and mixing protein shakes but also for everyday use at the office.
Chris created Ice Shaker and launched the product in December 2016. After 5 months he was able to generate about $80,000 in sales. Chris was able to get onto the show ABC's Shark Tank at this point and pitch to the Sharks in which he was able to land a deal with Mark Cuban and Alex Rodriguez.

Career Chats with Jazmine Reed-Clark
After graduating in 2013 with a degree in journalism and communications, Jazmine Reed-Clark struggled to find my footing as a young professional. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Jazmine tried on different hats within the advertising, marketing, and human resources fields. Each time, I would find some success (though, plenty of failures, too) but I never felt the same content I saw in other friends.
Then 2020 happened.
The world was ablaze and murder hornets were on the loose. Jazmine was at a new job, and was unhappy. She was going through the motions and it was obvious. So on my 60-day mark, during a pandemic, she followed her gut and quit. Time would prove that all of the confusion was for a greater purpose. Now, she's officially a one-woman show, open for business! Her most notable work as appeared in The Financial Diet, The Everygirl, Cupcakes & Cashmere, and MyDomaine. Jazmine helps professionals feel more confident, secure, and inspired in their careers. She empowers women of color to heal generational wounds while rejecting harmful narratives.

Talking Pets with Anneliese Aeria
Anneliese Aeria is an actress, model, dancer, musician, artist, entrepreneur, and, most of all, a pet lover which is why at the age of 17 she founded AAPETPEOPLE. Growing up, she was painfully shy, and incredibly unconfident. Anneliese began modeling and acting when she was 12-ish, and working on sets with new, initially intimidating people was a very scary and nerve racking experience for her. She found over time that if she was able to some how slide in the question, "do you have pets?" to those around her, and find some common ground, all of the sudden the ice was broken! This simple question has put her at ease countless times, and made Anneliese realize that the individuals who were initially so intimidating, were just like herself at the end of the day.
She credits her love of animals to her mother who is an entrepreneur of sorts and a veterinarian. With 2 parents working as veterinarians, Anneliese grew up around animals, fostering puppies and kittens with her siblings are some of her fondest memories, and she has always had a deep connection with pet rescue. Now, Anneliese Aeria is a full time model/actress, and has decided to connect her two worlds. AAPETPEOPLE is the uniting of my two worlds, into a brand which is focused not only on the pet, but their owner as well. Seeking to connect people, and pets, in the Fashion and Arts industries, as well as aiding in pet rescue, is the motivation behind the brand, AAPETPEOPLE.
