Summer is here! Hand in Hand has many free, family-friendly events for our community to come hangout, eat, and have fun! Bri and Juana, two of Hand in Hand's Outreach Coordinators are here to tell our Snohomish County friends what's happening!

We are kicking it off on June 17th with a free, family-friendly carnival style event for Snohomish County! Sometimes our reasons for doing things change, which is exactly what our guest speaker Emily and her husband Bobby experienced through their fostering journey. On this episode Emily walks us through her beautiful story as a foster parent and how important it is to be a part of a supportive community, like her church. We think many people will relate to Emily's perspective and encourage anyone that has been curious about Foster Care to give this episode a listen! May is National Foster Care Awareness Month! Have you ever wondered what the goal of foster care is? What better way to answer this question than to share REAL lived experience and astonishing statistics within the foster care system. On this weeks episode we are joined by Amber Sosa. Amber has worn almost every hat in the organization since she started, and currently serves as Hand in Hand's Grant Writer. We admire Amber for being vulnerable and sharing some of her experience as a child in foster care.
