Scream VI Review
Scream VI Review
The first episode of the previous season of this podcast covered the Scream requel and today I had to bring my guy Tyler back to cover Scream VI. There were big changes to the franchise and big swings taken with this movie so there were questions as to whether or not the magic would remain.
Tyler and I talked for about 3 hours but I condensed the conversation into the important beats and split it between a non-spoiler section and a spoiler section.
Non-Spoiler Review (~24 minutes)
Spoiler Review
Enjoy!

Netflix Series: Black Mirror
Netflix Series: Black Mirror
While recording the Scream VI review, Tyler and I got sidetracked talking about Black Mirror for a while. We talked about the show for almost 25 minutes and rather than waste that content, I put it into its own episode.
You'll see more one-offs as I plan to put out mini episodes discussing hit shows that people should watch. Consider this the first (and super unplanned) episode.

Oscars Alternate: The Bib's Corner Awards for 2022 Movies
It has been some time since I've been able to pull off my annual movie awards but I'm glad to be back. I'm also delighted that I got some of my guests from the past year to join me for this ride.
We all have our feelings about the major awards shows so I want to make sure I take the time to talk about the movies that I loved whether the old guard appreciated them or not. There are 11 categories for my awards, some are traditional, while others I made up to ensure a wider swath of candidates was represented.
2022 was a good year for film. There is great representation from indie films to blockbusters and 2023 is already off to a strong start.
I hope you enjoy what you hear!

Creed III Review
Creed III Review
It's a panel discussion for the Creed III review with Bibs welcoming back Reese and Shad to discuss the latest entry in the Rocky franchise. The film brings together two rising movie stars in Michael B. Jordan and Jonathan Majors for the main event but they were not the only two who stood out in this film.
This was a fun discussion with some laughs and some serious talk as well. There is a spoiler warning before we get into the major details.
Enjoy!

Cocaine Bear Review (Spoilers)
Cocaine Bear Review (Spoilers)
One of the most anticipated films for me in a while was Cocaine Bear. It's not part of a universe, not featuring any actors I love, and isn't about a story that I necessarily cared about but it looked like it was going to be a ton of fun. Reese and I were both anticipating this film so I had to bring him along for the review.
If you know me, you know I try to avoid expectations because they can impact how you receive a film. Did having expectations backfire on me here? Listen to find out.
Starring: Keri Russell (Felicity, The Americans), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story) O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton), Ray Liotta (Goodfellas)
Additional Cast: Isiah Whitlock Jr. (Da 5 Bloods, BlacKkKlansman), Brooklyn Prince (The Florida Project, Home Before Dark), Christian Convery (Sweet Tooth, Playing with Fire, Venom), Margo Martindale (Legendary Character actress 3 time Emmy winner for The Americans and Justified), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family), Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones, Force Majeure)
Directed by: Elizabeth Banks (Charlie’s Angels, Pitch Perfect 2)

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Review
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Review
The MCU has kicked off phase 5 with Ant-Man and Kang. The reviews on Rotten Tomatoes have been mixed (bad critic reviews, great fan reviews) but it was time for me to sit down with two of my favorite collaborators to see how they felt about this one. I've said in the past that now that Cap is gone, Ant-Man is my guy so I needed this movie to come through for me. I was also on the Jonathan Majors train since The Last Black Man in San Francisco so I was excited to see him again after his MCU debut on Loki.
The one thing I was concerned about coming into this film was the recasting of Cassie so we kick the podcast off with that particular topic. Enjoy!
Starring: Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jonathan Majors
Additional Cast: Kathyrn Newton as Cassie Lang (Freaky), Bill Murray as Lord Krylar, Katy M. O’Brian as Jentorra (Z Nation, Black Lightning, Westworld, The Walking Dead), William Jackson Harper as Quaz (Midsommar, The Good Place)
Directed by: Peyton Reed

Black Widow Review with Shad (Re-Upload)
Black Widow Review with Shad (Re-Upload)
(This episode was on the old Have you Scene feed and has been moved over)
In this episode of the Have You Scene? podcast I did something a little different again. I started with my spoiler-free review which I did solo. I brought in Shad (of the Uncool Urban and Shad vs. Smilez) for the spoiler section and then added a bonus clip of myself and my sister Shenelle at the very end. We get into a lot of different things in the spoiler section and end up talking about all things MCU at different points. We talked bout the Young Avengers for about 10-15 minutes but I cut that conversation out because it made the episode too long. Maybe you'll get that when it becomes relevant.
00:00 - 11:20 Spoiler free review
11:55 - 01:14:35 Spoiler review with Shad Miller
01:16:08 - End. Bonus clip with my sister.
Enjoy, and as always feedback is appreciated while I try to find the best way to do the movie review podcast thing.

Zola Review with Shad (Re-Upload)
(This episode was on the old Have You Scene feed and has been moved over)
After a long hiatus, I'm BACK with another review and another returning guest. My guy Shad Miller (@ShadMiller13) of The Uncool Urban (@theuncoolurban) and Shad vs. Smilez (@shadvssmilez) podcasts is back to talk about the new A-24 film Zola. The movie is based on the viral Twitter story from 2015 and the movie arrived on Wednesday, June 30. Shad and I break the movie down in a spoiler-free review in the first 20 or so minutes, then get into spoilers in the second half. Since Shad was very familiar with the story we also spent a lot of time breaking down what was in the tweets vs. what was in the movie vs. what we believed happened.
Enjoy!

Knock at the Cabin Review (Spoilers)
M. Night Shyamalan is back with another movie and fittingly I am back with another review alongside my Mavs Outsiders co-host Reese Williams. We had a blast reviewing Shyamalan's previous entry Old, which we both hated so we knew this review would be fun if nothing else.
In our review, we covered the most interesting topics from the movie and some details that I learned after leaving the theater. The full review is on the podcast but read on for a non-spoiler teaser below.

Indie Movie Review of the Month: Free Skate
Indie Movie Review of the Month: Free Skate
Today I'm back with my indie movie of the month. Covering independent films has been good to me and I want to make sure I am reviewing at least one indie film per month on the podcast. Free Skate is a movie about a young woman who flees Russia to escape the inhumane treatment she received as a member of the figure skating program. The movie is written by former gymnast Veera Vilo and draws from some of her personal experiences and the experiences of her peers and colleagues. Consider this another entry in the #MeToo movement's wave of women's survival stories.
Though the movie is set in Finland and Russia, the primary language spoken is English.
Starring: Veera Vilo
Directed by: Roope Olenius
Written by: Veera Vilo
Quick synopsis: A promising figure skater flees from Russia to Finland to escape her inhumane circumstances.

A Man Called Otto Review (Light Spoilers)
I'm dropping back into your feed today for a review of Tom Hanks' A Man Called Otto. This was a movie I initially didn't plan to see but due to decent word of mouth, great reviews, and nothing else enticing me to be in theaters at the time, I gave it a chance. I'm glad I did.

Additional Cast: Cameron Britton (Mindhunter, [Ed Kemper], The Umbrella Academy), Mike Birbiglia (Comedy Specials)

The Whale Review (Spoilers)
The Whale Review (Spoilers)
A new year means I'm changing something about the movie podcast but I'm hoping this is the last major change. The BibsCorner Podcast is now "Have You Scene?" since I'm only doing movie reviews here anyway. I spent time putting that name and logo together so I might as well use it, right?
With that said, The Whale is a movie that is getting plenty of awards buzz and I finally got the opportunity to see it. Add to it the fact that one of my IRL friends wanted to do a podcast about it, I had to find a way to see it. The discussion went longer than anticipated but I hope you enjoy it!
Movie: The Whale
Starring: Brendan Fraser (The Mummy), Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), Ty Simpkins (Insidious, Iron Man 3, Jurassic World), Hong Chau (The Menu, Watchmen)

Violent Night Review (Spoilers) with Reese Williams
In episode 25 of the 3rd season of the Bibs Corner Podcast, I brought Reese back to talk about the Christmas action, thriller Violent Night. I think it's safe to say this movie caught both of us by surprise and we definitely did not plan to talk about it in advance but here we are.

What to Watch This Weekend: Featuring Lee Jung Jae's Hunt and more
In this episode, I talk about three very different movies that you may want to take a look at this weekend in what is the first in a series of "What to Watch" episodes.
I was fortunate to receive a screener for Lee Jung Jae's (Squid Game) directorial debut, Hunt, so I give a quick review for that movie before getting to two other films of interest that became available this weekend. As I mentioned above, I do plan to make this a quick weekly segment so be on the lookout for these going forward. If I've gotten a screener for any films releasing that week I'll do a review but otherwise, I'll just give the details of the movie and where you can watch it.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (Deep Dive) with Reese and Shad
I'm dropping back into your feed with a big one. This time it is an in-depth discussion about the latest Marvel entry, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This was a heavily anticipated film for many reasons and personally, I'm glad to put it behind me.
There were several questions that needed to be answered in this film. Would the movie properly honor Chadwick Boseman? Would they successfully transition the Black Panther mantle from T'Challa to someone else? How would Namor work as an antagonist? And how would this film fit into the larger MCU.
We discussed all of these things and more.

Academy Award Contender (Best International Feature): Holy Spider Review with Tyler Lennon
I'm dropping back into your feed today with a special film and something new for me on this podcast. As I get back into the swing of reviewing indie films, every now and then a hidden gem will land in my lap and that is the case here. I knew this film was special as soon as I read the description so I brought Tyler with me to view the film and have a deep-dive discussion about it.
We do a spoiler-free review to start before moving to the detailed discussion. Below is more information about the film so you know everything you need to know before diving in.

As the body count mounts and Rahimi draws closer to exposing his crimes, the opportunity for justice grows harder to attain as the ‘Spider Killer’ is embraced by many as a hero. Based on the horrific true story of serial killer Saeed Hanaei, acclaimed writer-director Ali Abbasi (Border) unveils a gripping crime thriller and a daring indictment of a society in which rough justice is routinely a fact of life.

Raymond Lewis: L.A. Legend Documentary Review (with Shad Miller)
Raymond Lewis: L.A. Legend Documentary Review (with Shad Miller)
In this episode of the BibsCorner podcast, Bibs is joined by frequent collaborator Shad Miller to review a basketball documentary. The name Raymond Lewis is not one that you have heard most likely, but that is exactly why you should watch this documentary.
Synopsis: The powerful, racially charged story of a “one-in-a-generation” basketball phenom from South Central Los Angeles—who was a first-round draft pick by the Philadelphia 76ers at age 19 in 1973, but who many believe was blackballed from the NBA and who never played in a professional game—is revealed in the award-winning documentary, Raymond Lewis: L.A. Legend."
Shad and I both enjoyed this documentary for many reasons and if you are a basketball junkie and enjoy learning more about the history of the game, this documentary is a must-see. The movie is available as of November 1st on iTunes, Amazon Direct Video, Google Play, Microsoft, InDemand, Plex, Roku and Fandango.

Black Adam Review (No spoilers)
Black Adam Review (No spoilers)
The Rock promised to shift the balance of power in the DCEU with Black Adam. This was his passion project, the character he has been trying to play for over a decade. The question is, did he accomplish his goal?
I personally knew very little about Black Adam besides the fact that he was somehow tied to Shazam, and I knew that I enjoyed Shazam. I hoped that I would enjoy this movie just as much. Admittedly, as a person who doesn't watch trailers I had no idea what I was in for with this movie so all but the opening action scenes were new for me.
In these 30 minutes, I'll tell you how I felt.

Disney Plus Review: She-Hulk Season 1 Deep Dive featuring Reese Williams
She-Hulk released on Disney Plus with a lot less fanfare than the Marvel shows that came before it. The show also marketed itself differently selling itself as a lawyer sitcom with Superhero elements. They didn't lie, and while incels review bombed the series before it came out, there were those who legitimately could not get into the show.
Bibs and Reese were not among them, but even so, the finale left some disappointed. In this spoiler review Bibs and Reese dive DEEP into the show, most specifically the last two episodes.

The show also marketed itself differently selling itself as a lawyer sitcom with Superhero elements. They didn't lie, and while incels review bombed the series before it came out, there were those who legitimately could not get into the show.
Bibs and Reese were not among them, but even so, the finale left some disappointed. In this non-spoiler review Bibs and Reese let you know how they felt about the series, and especially the finale.
Enjoy!

Don't Worry Darling with Reese Williams (@MindOfReese)
Don't Worry Darling with Reese Williams (@MindOfReese)
Don't Worry Darling is a movie that has made a lot of headlines for a lot of the wrong reasons. A quick list includes: Shia LaBeouf leaving the production, Olivia Wilde telling us that she fired him, Shia saying that he left voluntarily and releasing a video of Olivia Wilde begging him to come back while speaking to him like Florence Pugh was the problem, Olivia Wilde having an affair with Harry Styles, and much more! It's an accomplishment that this movie even managed to be completed let alone get a full media push and theatrical run.
However, the film is here and now it's time to judge it on its quality. I brought Reese along for the ride since he forced me to watch the movie. It's a shame that at one point I was excited about this film but by its release, I spent 53 cents on the ticket reluctantly. As always we had a non-spoiler convo and then dove into the spoilers in the back half.
Enjoy!

Apple TV Plus Review: Severance Deep Dive with Josh and Larhonda Sparrow
Apple TV Plus Review: Severance Deep Dive with Josh and Larhonda Sparrow
In this review I did a lot of things differently. First, we recorded in person. Second, we reviewed a show that concluded a few weeks ago, and finally, I recorded with some I.R.L. friends. People have been recommending that I watch Severance for some time and, though the show lost in the show tournaments I ran on Twitter, I decided to check it out while I was traveling.
The show is very different from any show I could think of and the three of us had to take some time to think of shows to try to compare it to. It's a show that builds out its world slowly, and intentionally, and each episode leaves you asking more questions than the one before. Now normally, that would be a bad thing but this show makes it work by answering your previous questions when it does so. The cast is great, you will fall in love with at least one character and by the end of the series, you will be dying for the new season to drop.
Enjoy the conversation!

Nope Review with Tyler Lennon (@Tyler_Lennon)
Nope Review with Tyler Lennon (@Tyler_Lennon)
In the latest episode of the Bib's Corner Podcast, friend of the show Tyler Lennon is back for a review of one of my most anticipated movies of the year. Jordan Peele's 3rd movie, Nope. Starring Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer, Nope being Peele's 3rd entry meant that I was finally going to be able to decide whether or not I can crown him as one of the greats.
I knew very little about the movie going in, by design, and I had to watch the film twice and have this entire conversation to decide where I was going to land on it. We touched on everything we could think of pertaining to this movie and by the end, I hope we hit all the lingering things you might have had questions about. This was a fun conversation.

Disney Plus Review: Ms. Marvel Deep Dive with Saib Kazmi (@SSaibK)
Disney Plus Review: Ms. Marvel Deep Dive with Saib Kazmi (@SSaibK)
In this episode of the Bib's Corner Podcast, I bring on Saib Kazmi to talk about Disney+'s Ms. Marvel series. The show centers around a Pakistani-American girl, and huge Captain Marvel fan, who discovers that she has superpowers of her own. Iman Vellani, a real-life Kamala Khan fan, gets to bring the character to life and does so in an amazing way.
The series' biggest strength is that it gives you a lot of characters to root for. Kamala herself is great but each of the people in her life has a lot of depth and has their own things going on which is not always how these Marvel series' operate. In the review, I mention that if Kamala had no abilities and I was just watching this teenage girl live her life I'd still enjoy the show. The fact that this is a Marvel property is a bonus.
I brought on Saib to make sure that I was able to bring a Pakistani-American perspective to the review and Saib helped me answer all the questions I might have had about the portrayal and the show itself.

Thor: Love and Thunder Review with Reese Williams @MindOfReese
Thor: Love and Thunder Review with Reese Williams @MindOfReese
I'm back with Reese yet again, this time for the latest Marvel film review. Thor: Love and Thunder is a movie that many were anticipating for different reasons. It would be an expanded role for Natalie Portman's Jane Foster, the return of Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie, Chris Hemsworth in his 4th Thor solo film, and Christian Bale entering the MCU as the Gorr the God Butcher. Taika Waititi changed the game in Thor: Ragnorak so would he deliver with the new expectations?
Reese and I tried to cover every single piece of this movie before falling into general MCU talk by the end so hopefully, we didn't miss anything but let us know if we did.

Top Gun (1986) and Top Gun: Maverick Review
Top Gun (1986) and Top Gun: Maverick Review
Welcome back to the Bibs Corner Podcast. Today we are bringing you a very late Top Gun review. I promised these a very long time ago and I apologize that these are coming so late.
Before watching the new movie I went back and watched the original movie that came out before I was born. All my life I was under the impression that this movie was a classic beloved by all but when I told people I was going to be watching the old movie, they all told me how bad it is. Essentially, they said that the movie did not withstand the test of time but I personally don't see how this was ever seen as a good movie. It was incredibly goofy to me but that's neither here nor there. The more important issue was that there was no real emotion in the movie despite events being there that should have made it emotional.
Fast forward and we get a super late sequel to a dry movie, how could they possibly make this worth our time? Well, It's no secret if you've heard me talk about Top Gun: Maverick, they certainly did it.

The Black Phone Review with Reese (@MindOfReese)
The Black Phone Review with Reese (@MindOfReese)
I'm back! This time joined by Reese yet again for a review of the new "horror" film The Black Phone. The movie sees a very busy Ethan Hawke and a cast of young (mostly) newcomers in a movie about young boys being abducted. Hawke plays "The Grabber" and our lead Mason Thames plays the main character in the film Finney, the 6th kidnapping victim. Finney's sister Gwen is played by Madeleine McGraw and she was great in this film as well.
The movie has supernatural elements to go with the mystery/thriller and Reese and I sat down to discuss whether or not we enjoyed the movie as well as where we put The Black Phone in our rankings and rating systems.

Hello Hello! Welcome back! I've been busy between work and the NBA Playoffs but I had an opportunity to get a review in with Reese and I took it. Didn’t want to give away all my talking points but did want to take this pod back to its roots with a little Mavs post game solo pod. Enjoy!

Peacock Review: Bel Air Deep Dive (Episodes 8-10) with Reese Williams @MindOfReese and Shad Miller (@ShadMiller13)
We're back with another Bel Air deep dive. This time we're talking about the last 3 episodes of season one and this time I was able to get both Reese and Shad for the discussion.
We started off with a quick review of how we felt after finishing the show to give a bit of a non-spoiler reaction to what we watched over the course of the 10 episodes. We all went into this not knowing what to expect, so I wanted to gauge where we were now that the first season has ended. We then went episode by episode through the final 3. You'll notice that we spent a lot of time on the finale, and rightfully so. We then spent the end of the podcast discussing some predictions for the new season. Enjoy!
00:00:00 - 00:05:20 How do we feel now that we've seen the show?
00:05:25 - 00:28:05 Episode 8 (No One Wins When the Family Feuds)
00:28:11 - 00:48:54 Episode 9 (Can't Knock the Hustle)

Peacock Review: Bel Air Deep Dive (Episodes 5-7) with Reese Williams @MindOfReese
We're back with another Bel Air deep dive. This time its episodes 5-7 and instead of Shad, this time I'm recapping the episodes with my Mavs Outsiders co-host Reese Williams.
We started off with a quick catch-up since Reese was not on when we did the first 4 episodes but we quickly transition into the episodes. It's a long episode so there is a minutes breakdown. The show moves fast so there was a lot to cover so please forgive me for the runtime.
00:00:00 - 00:11:14 How is Reese feeling about the show so far?
00:11:18 - 00:49:12 Episode 5 (PA to LA)
00:49:15 - 01:18:12 Episode 6 (The Strength to Smile)
01:18:23 - 02:08:25 Episode 7 (Payback's a B*tch)

The Batman Review with Tyler Lennon, Shad Miller, and Maurice Williams
The Batman Review with Tyler Lennon, Shad Miller, and Maurice Williams
In the sixth episode of season 3 of the Bib's Corner podcast, we get our first superhero movie review of the year in The Batman. I knew I had to bring out all of my guys for this one and the conversation was as entertaining as expected.
The Batman features a star-studded cast including Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Collin Ferrell, Paul Dano, John Turturro, and Andy Serkis. The story plays out like a film-noir crime thriller and that of course is right up my alley. With a 2 hour and 45-minute runtime, there was plenty to talk about. My rule for reviews is that they must be shorter than the movie. We accomplished that, though we barely did.

Peacock Review: Bel Air Deep Dive (Episode 4) with Shad Miller @ShadMiller13
Episode 5 of Season 3 features the second part of my deep dive into the fourth episode of the new Peacock show Bel Air. As previously mentioned, I'm joined by my man Shad Miller and we got into some great stuff on the back end of our conversation.
In this final piece, we finally get to talk about Geoffrey, Ashley, and the development of Will and Carlton's relationship. Again, this show packs a lot into 45 minutes so we had plenty to work with.
We also started to try to predict where the show is going from here by the end.
The show so far has given us a lot of material to work with so the conversation went very long. I tried to give you the best breakdown possible in the show notes so you can start and stop where you need to. Of course, you should have already seen that I broke our conversation out into two parts so I hope that makes it easier to digest.

Peacock Review: Bel Air (Pilot)
Peacock Review: Bel Air (Pilot)
In Season 3, Episode 3 of the Bib's Corner Podcast, we are talking about Bel Air. The reimagining of the iconic sitcom starring Will Smith. The show is a legitimate drama that was spawned from a pilot by show creator Morgan Cooper that asked the question "What if The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was a drama?" I guess now we will get our answer.
The show started a bidding war between streaming services before it even had a cast. Peacock won that bidding war, likely because they were willing to guarantee two seasons upfront which is unheard of.
In this review, I first went over the way that the show came about, the discussion around the show before it aired, and finally got into the things that stood out for me in episode 1.

Netflix Review: Ozark Season 4 (Part 1)
Netflix Review: Ozark Season 4 (Part 1)
In episode 2 of the new season of the Bib's Corner podcast, we get a Netflix review. One of the best shows Netflix has created, Ozark, returned for its final season and released just 7 episodes to drag out the drama. There are no complaints from me however as these first 7 episodes both advance the story tremendously and leave you with a lot to think about while we wait for the final episodes.
In this review, I first reflected on the history of this show and read through my season 1 review to compare my early thoughts about it to how I feel now. In the back half of the review, I go over all of the events of the new season. I then transition to where we left off by the end of the season and who our current threats are. Finally, I get into my theories about how the show might end. I would have loved to have someone to bounce ideas off of but this was a fun exercise.

Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, and David Arquette are BACK and this time they're joined by newcomers Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Dylan Minnette, and more.
The story takes us back to Woodsboro in this "Requel" with a new killer (killers?) and new motives. Tyler and I go over all of the details that stood out for us, our favorite moments, favorite characters, Easter Eggs, callbacks, and whatever else came to our minds. The guys give some of their stories as well and overall the convo was a lot of fun. We do get to the quarter season preview about halfway through and with things continuing to fall apart since my talk with Josh, I had to update some of my feelings on the Mavs situation. Enjoy!

There were a ton of questions this week so instead of making an hour and a half long episode, I made the questions portion it’s own episode. There’s a lot of great stuff so I hope you enjoy.

Mavs Fan Conversations: Kenny (@Kenny_817) talks about the season, big men, and Offseason Dreams
In tonight’s episode I welcomed a special guest in the controversial @Kenny_817. A long time fan of the Mavs, Kenny and I go way back on Mavs twitter and our old school ways sometimes clash with the new fans. We address this, talk bigs like Drummond and Gobert, discuss the Dwight Powell situation, and then get into offseason plans like chasing Bradley Beal. Enjoy!

Mavs Recap: No KP, HUGE problem. Mavs run out of the gym by Playoff P, Montrezl, and Kawhi Leonard
Mavs Recap: No KP, HUGE problem. Mavs run out of the gym by Playoff P, Montrezl, and Kawhi Leonard
This was a rough game to watch. The Clippers finally realized they’re bigger than us and used that to beat us into submission. Playoff P woke up, and Harrell was forced to have a good game. Tonight we looked like we were missing a 30 point per game guy. I started the pod by being candid about the players and their statements about the Blake shooting (6 minutes), Cold open (7 minutes), game talk (14 minutes), questions (18 minutes). ***at the start of the game talk portion of the cold open I said Kane Fitzgerald tossed Luka in game 1, obviously it was KP that was tossed.***

Mavs Recap: BANG! BANG! Luka adds a legendary moment to his resume. No KP, no problem
Mavs Recap: BANG! BANG! Luka adds a legendary moment to his resume. No KP, no problem
On this pod you get my live reaction to the shot, a listener submission and then we get into the game. KP was a late scratch due to his sore knee and Luka played despite his ankle injury. Trey Burke, Boban, and Seth continue to be big for us. I answer some questions as well. Oh, and Playoff P still sucks. (12 minute open, 20 minutes game talk, 15 minutes on questions.)

Mavs Recap: Luka goes down with an ankle injury but the Mavs yet again give the Clippers a fight
Mavs Recap: Luka goes down with an ankle injury but the Mavs yet again give the Clippers a fight
This game ended rough with Luka Doncic being unable to finish the game. What looked like a potentially bad ankle sprain sidelined Luka and now we’ll wait to see how long. In the meantime, PG continues to struggle and Seth and Trey Burke continue to get buckets off the bench. I also decided to allow myself to get controversial by addressing the idea of “white boy” as a racial slur. (11 minute cold open, 15 minutes game talk, 17 minutes on the slur situation)

Mavs Recap: Luka Legend gets his first playoff W despite foul trouble. The bench comes up HUGE
Mavs Recap: Luka Legend gets his first playoff W despite foul trouble. The bench comes up HUGE
When you look at this game on paper the Mavs were far from perfect but still managed to come out with a strong victory over most people’s favorite to take the title. Burke, Boban, and Curry combined for 44. It was an all around performance from the Mavs and the Clippers will need to make some major adjustments before game 3. 10 minute cold open, 13 on the numbers, 13 on questions and announcements.

Mavs Recap: Rick listens to the podcast confirmed, Luka breaks a playoff record, KP ejected.
Tonight we talk about Luka dropping a playoff record (for a debut) of 42 points. The Mavs defensive gameplan being perfect, and how KP being ejected put a damper on an otherwise great night. There was a lot to love in this game for sure. I also mention my appearance on The Mr. Douglass sports show on YouTube.

Mavs Recap: DAME TIME! Lillard gave us 61 as the Mavs, yet again, are unable to close.
The Mavs gave themselves a shot to win against a desperate team but in the end there was just too much Dame and we lost the free throw contest. The Mavs filled the stat sheet but just couldn’t get enough stops. I go over the game, my thoughts, and answer some questions. (10 minute cold open, 21 minutes about the game, last 9 minutes answering questions.)

The Mavs yet again snatched defeat from the jaws of victory and it’s becoming harder and harder to believe we’re a threat to anyone. I then answer questions like: “Are Luka’s stats misleading? And “Is Carlisle the right coach for this team?”

And Babyteeth is the latest movie about a teenager dealing with cancer.
