Warning- Magic Mantra – Reverse Negative to Positive
This episode is also available as a blog post: https://health-of-it.com/magic-mantra/
The Ek Ong Kar Sat Gur Prasad mantra is a powerful and widely revered “Magic mantra.”
The mantra is said to contain the essence of the entire Sikh philosophy and is one of the most important mantras in the Sikh religion.
The first word, Ek, means “one” or “unity.” It represents the oneness of all things and the unity of the universe. This concept is central to Sikhism, which teaches that there is only one God and that all people are equal and connected.
The second word, Ong, is a primal sound that represents the divine creative energy. It is believed to be the sound that was present at the creation of the universe and is often used as a mantra in meditation practices.
The third word, Kar, means “creator” or “creation.” It represents the idea that the divine creative energy is constantly creating and sustaining the universe.
The fourth word, Sat, means “truth.” It represents the ultimate reality, which is beyond the limitations of the material world. It is the goal of spiritual seekers to realize this truth and merge with it.
The final word, Gur Prasad, means “by the grace of the guru.” It represents the idea that spiritual realization is only possible with the guidance and grace of a spiritual teacher or guru.
Together, the mantra can be translated as “There is one creative energy that creates all things. Truth is its name. It is by the grace of the guru that one can experience it.”
The mantra is composed of four distinct parts.
The first part of the mantra, “Ek Ong Kar,” is a reference to the One Universal Creator, which is believed to be present in all things. This part of the mantra is often referred to as the “Primal Sound” and is said to be the origin of all creation. Ek Ong Kar – I am one with all that is
The second part of the mantra, “Sat Gur,” refers to the true Guru, or spiritual teacher, who guides individuals on the path of spiritual awakening. The true Guru is believed to be the source of all knowledge and wisdom and is essential for spiritual growth and enlightenment. Sat Gur– True God
The third part of the mantra, “Prasad,” refers to the divine grace and blessings that come from living a life of spiritual purity and righteousness. It is believed that through the practice of meditation and the recitation of the mantra, individuals can attain a state of spiritual purity that will enable them to receive the blessings of the divine. Prasad– receive Divine Grace and Gifts/blessings
The fourth part of the mantra, “Jap,” is a call to action, urging individuals to recite the mantra and meditate on its meaning in order to achieve spiritual enlightenment and liberation.
This mantra is the only Kundalini mantra that comes with a warning.
Benefits of this powerful mantra:
1) Enhances Concentration: The act of reciting the mantra and focusing on its meaning can help improve concentration and focus. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals who struggle with distractions or have difficulty staying focused on a task.
2) Reduces Stress: Reduce stress and anxiety by promoting a sense of inner peace and calm. This can be especially helpful for individuals who experience high levels of stress in their daily lives.
3) Increases Self-Awareness: Develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the world. By meditating on the meaning of the mantra, individuals can gain insight into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop a greater sense of self-awareness.
4) Promotes Spiritual Growth: Powerful tool for spiritual growth and transformation. By reciting the mantra and meditating on its meaning, individuals can deepen their connection with the divine. Cultivating a greater sense of inner peace and fulfillment.
5) Improves Overall Well-Being: Positive impact on overall well-being by promoting a sense of inner calm, reducing stress and anxiety, and enhancing self-awareness and spiritual growth.

You can get everything you want, by following these steps below.
What you want Matters.
The key is understanding the emotion behind the Why.
This exercise can be used to help determine what really is your “Why” to accomplish anything you want in your life.

Vitamin K2 and How It Helps Your Body
This episode is also available as a blog post: https://health-of-it.com/2022/01/27/vitamin-k2-and-how-it-helps-your-body/
K2 Helps with the mobilization of calcium in the body to the bones.
Why is this important?
Because when you have excess calcium in your arteries, joints, or other places can lead to serious problems. Vitamin K2, with the help of vitamin D3, could help extract this buildup of calcium and put it right into the bones to actually strengthen the bones.
Here are some of the many benefits of vitamin K2:
Improves insulin resistance Increases insulin sensitivity Suppresses inflammation Decreases fat accumulation Increases energy capacity (more energy before physical activity) Increases testosterone Help to Prevent Calcification Helps Prevent Bone loss Cheese (gouda, munster, cream cheese Butter sour cream heavy cream Egg yolk liver (goose, chicken, beef) Pepperoni Salami Sausage Greens / Leafy Vegetables Fermented Foods like Natto or SauerkrautThe reason why these are mostly animal products is that animals eat grass, which contains Vitamin K1 (which has to do with clotting), and then their body converts it into vitamin K2. The vitamin K2 that is found in natto and sauerkraut are formed by bacteria in the fermentation process.
Who Would Benefit from Vitamin K2?
If you have a history of taking Antacids Antibiotics Statins Take D3 and/or Calcium Do You have GI Problems Menopause Heart Problems or are you PregnantMake sure to take K2 with fat. What I mean is if you want this supplement to work at its optimal level you need to have some sort of fat included.
Consuming with Eggs, Avocado, or MCT oil is fantastic.
An empty stomach is not good.
A full meal that includes fiber is not as good.
The key is you want to Either eat food high in K2 or take supplement K2 with a good source of fat.
K2 works well with D3
Hope this helps you understand a little better how your body uses Vitamin K.

Worrying is Negative Visualization
This episode is also available as a blog post: http://health-of-it.com/2021/03/08/worrying-is-negative-visualization/
Stop Worrying!
It is just negative visualization.
Some people think that they cannot visualize.
When I work with clients one of the biggest hurdles that they have to jump over is helping them understand that they can visualize.
They have just been visualizing the wrong things.
They’ve been visualizing everything that’s going wrong.
They have visualized a life they don’t want to have into existence.
The key of getting what you want is knowing what you want and focusing on that.
When you focus on what you don’t want that is what you’re going to get.
When you focus on what you do want that is what you’re going to get.
The way you know if you truly focused on what you want is because you will see the pictures in your head. They will manifest because you are telling yourself words which creates these pictures. Guess what, you are visualizing!
Is it the future you want or the future you don’t want?
It doesn’t matter you’ll get it either way.
So if you’re one who continually says that hypnosis, meditation, and affirmations, won’t work for you because you can’t visualize, I’m here to tell you you are wrong.
You have visualized the life that you are living right now!
The one of lack, the one of want, the one of not getting what you want.

AMPK and Insulin: How These Hormones Affect Your Body’s Energy Balance
This episode is also available as a blog post: https://health-of-it.com/two-key-regulators/
AMPK or Adenosine Monophosphate-Activated Protein Kinase is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in regulating metabolism and energy balance in the body. It acts as a sensor of cellular energy levels and is activated when energy levels are low, such as during exercise or fasting. The activation of AMPK leads to the inhibition of anabolic pathways, such as lipid and protein synthesis, and the stimulation of catabolic pathways, such as glucose uptake and fatty acid oxidation. In this blog, we will explore the connection between AMPK, metabolism, and insulin and discuss ways to activate AMPK.

Caffeine Depletes Your Body of Vitamins and Minerals
This episode is also available as a blog post: https://health-of-it.com/caffeine-on-nutrient/
Caffeine is a widely consumed stimulant that is found in coffee, tea, soda, energy drinks, and many other products. While caffeine can provide a temporary boost of energy and alertness, it can also have negative effects on the body, including depleting the body of vitamins and minerals.
One of the ways that caffeine can affect nutrient levels is by interfering with the absorption of key vitamins and minerals. For example, caffeine has been shown to reduce the absorption of calcium, iron, zinc, and magnesium in the body. This is because caffeine can bind to these minerals and prevent them from being absorbed by the intestines.
Over time, this can lead to deficiencies in these essential nutrients, which can have a range of negative effects on the body. For example, calcium deficiency can lead to weakened bones and increased risk of osteoporosis, while iron deficiency can cause anemia and fatigue.

Be Free From Myalgic Encephalomyelitis Symptoms
This episode is also available as a blog post: https://health-of-it.com/2021/10/06/be-free-from-myalgic-encephalomyelitis-symptoms/
This is what I fight!! Myalgic Encephalomyelitis.
This is why I spend my days helping others to go from sick to fit.
I understand what it feels like to be so sick that you don’t want to live.
Doctor after doctor.
Test after test.
Medications that made more symptoms than helped.
I had no hope.
I could not do the things I loved like dance, spend time playing with my children, or just the simple things like walking. Forget about walking up or downstairs.
But then I changed my mind.
I changed my thoughts and I changed the words that I allowed myself to say to myself.
I became my cheerleader, my motivator instead of my doom and gloom critic.
I found the best coach/functional medicine doctor who gave me simply do this and watch your life change instructions and I did exactly that.
No questions I just followed her recommendation.
Once I got my health back I went to school and discovered Rapid Transformational Therapy and found my purpose.
Now I have the knowledge of why my body responds to food, to stress, to my thoughts and I choose each moment to live a life of my choosing, not one that just happens.
I know that if I eat sugar I will have an increase in inflammation in my body.
I know if I do stress-inducing exercises I will have an increase in inflammation.
I know if I consume alcohol I will have an increase in inflammation.
Why is the knowledge helpful to me? Because now I know I can control how much pain I am in.
My past choices have been increasing the symptoms I had from CFS/ME, Lupus, fibromyalgia, EDS, MCAS, and Grovers.
All the joint pain, muscle pain, and bone pain from my choices.
Memory loss and forgetfulness loss of focus are all from my choices.
The symptoms of IBS, PCOS, Insulin Resistance and fatty liver were all from my choices.
When I understood that it was my choices causing 95% of my symptoms, at first I was upset that I did this to myself but then Rapid Transformational Therapy showed me if my choices were making me sick, then if I change my choices I could change the symptom.
My coach/functional medicine doctor helped me understand how my body’s hormones worked in the body. She taught me how stress causes a hormone disruption.
Sleep, food, alcohol, toxins in our personal care products and even cleaning product all cause stress to the body. But the biggest cause of stress is the words we say to ourselves and the looping thoughts that we think.
Understanding is the key to getting what you want.
What do you want?
Do you know?
Ask yourself right now, “What do I want and How do I want to feel?”
For me, I want to love the life I live feeling a sense of peace in every decision I make.
I want to help others find their purpose.
I want to help others go from sick to fit.
I want to help others Love the Life they Live.

Carbo Story-Water Weight Gone From Low Carb Diet
This episode is also available as a blog post: http://health-of-it.com/2019/11/23/water-weight-gone-from-low-carb-diet/
Carbo Story
When you eat carbohydrates they do three things:
The carbohydrates you eat are broken down into glucose (sugar). Your blood then transports this sugar to cells throughout your body. Your cells then “eat” this sugar and use it for fast energy. Upon digestion and absorption of carbohydrates, some glucose is stored in your liver and muscles as “glycogen.” Each gram of glycogen stored in muscle has at least 3 g of water However, your body can only store so much glycogen. Once your glycogen stores are full, your body will convert excess carbohydrates to fat.The problem is that most individuals lose “water weight” when they go on a “diet” and when they stop dieting their cells fill back up with water because they are eating carbohydrates again, so you guessed it they gain the weight back.
With my help as a coach, I will show you how to eat so you have maximum fuel to supply your body without adding water weight.

What is the Difference Between Self-Hypnosis and Meditation?
This episode is also available as a blog post: http://health-of-it.com/2020/06/16/what-is-the-difference-between-self-hypnosis-and-meditation/
Self-hypnosis has an end-point in mind that you are working to achieve. A Goal.
During hypnosis, you are not asleep! You are aware of what’s happening around you. The key is tuning everything out except for the matter you wish to resolve, like having more confidence at work, finding love, stopping procrastinating, or making better habits(food, self-care, self-talk). It can even help you to overcome the fears/anxiety you fight daily.
Mediation is focused on Knowing Oneself
When you meditate your mind is aware of everything, but you will focus on your breath, a focal point like a candle, or waves coming into shore. As you do this you will increase your self-awareness and it might shed new light on your problems, but it won’t be extremely effective for treating a specific condition in a quick manner.
Meditation, as described by Dr. Joe Dispenza, is becoming familiar with it.
It helps us understand ourselves, the good the bad and the ugly.
So as you become familiar with all your thoughts, your behaviors, and your emotions of your old self(Good & Bad) you can start to let go of the thoughts that are not serving you.
So which one should you do?
Both!
Hypnosis can help you treat many conditions with precision, in a short amount of time while meditation can help you become the person you were born to be when practiced daily.

Wim Hof Breathing Helped Me Get Over Major CFIDS Flare
This episode is also available as a blog post: http://health-of-it.com/2019/12/10/win-hof-breathing-helped-me-get-over-major-cfids-flare/
Major CFIDS Flare
For the first time in 10 years, we(my husband and myself) flew on a plane from Austin to Virginia. We had a layover in Chicago where we had to walk from one end of the airport to the next. We almost missed the flight, it was so far for me. The noise, the people, all the different smells, and the air pressure on the plane all affected me in a negative way. Once we landed and got the rental car we had an hour’s drive to the hotel. I could feel the crash coming. We went shopping to get food for the hotel, 2 gallons of water, avocados deli turkey, and then we got kale salad, and rotisserie chicken for dinner because I just could not go out to eat. My skin started to hurt, with no energy, and was weak. When I woke up the next morning the same thing. I had to go back to bed after only being up for 2 hours.
THIS IS NOT HOW I PLANNED MY 20-YEAR ANNIVERSARY TRIP TO BE.
I stumbled onto Wim Hof’s, the ICEMAN, breathing meditation. I didn’t know what it was supposed to do, I just love to meditate and I know the benefits of purposeful breathwork, so I just did it. Immediately I felt different, so then I started my research on the best way to practice and the benefits of it. There is so much more to Wim Hof check him out and find out if this could help you.

Stop Being The “Perfect Victim” To Bullies
This episode is also available as a blog post: http://health-of-it.com/2020/09/27/stop-being-the-perfect-victim-to-bullies/
MARISA PEER’S 5-STEP TO HANDLE CRITICISM & REJECTION WITH CONFIDENCE
Marisa Peer, one of the world’s leading experts on hypnotherapy and voted Britain’s best therapist by Tatler Magazine and the winner of 8 Stevie Awards, offers five steps you can use to deal with daily rejection and criticism.
When someone criticizes you, there is a tendency to either:
a) be on the defensive by arguing back; or
b) just keep quiet and hold back anger but at the same time, letting the words poison your mind.
Marisa advises that you should thank the person for letting you know. By doing this, you’re giving out the message you’re not going to let the rejection in.
You’re not letting the words affect you which means you’re in control of how you feel.
If the person continues to criticize you or if the criticism feels too personal or deep, ask them to repeat what they said.
A decent person would back down at this point. It’s easy to make an offhand comment without thinking but if you ask them to repeat, they will start to realize maybe they are being too harsh.
They are more likely to apologize or ask you to forget what they said.
However, if the person does repeat what they said, put them in a position where they have to explain themself. By asking them if they want you to feel bad, you’ll know exactly what their intent is.
If they tell you they are not doing it to make you feel bad but just want to share what they feel, then in their own way, they are trying to be helpful. If so, just take his words constructively.
But if they are really being nasty to you, then let them know you’re not affected. Be calm, because nothing frustrates a mean person more than when the person they try to bully isn’t responding to their baits.
And then you can end the conversation like a boss with the above phrase. There’s no possible comeback they can give to refute the statement. If they start on a new criticism, repeat the whole process from Step One.
Remember someone can throw seeds at you but you don’t need to plant them, water them and help them grow. Let the seeds of negativity fall away from you. Do not allow them in.
You have the power to stop Bullies and Abusers.
Follow the steps above, and build your self-esteem and self-worth. You are worth it.
Realize You Are Enough!!!
You are Extraordinary!!!!
You can reach all your dreams and desires!

Why I Use Zeolite
This episode is also available as a blog post: http://health-of-it.com/2020/04/17/why-i-use-zeolite/
What is Zeolite
Zeolite is a volcanic mineral that has a unique honeycomb-like crystalline structure. Each chamber within zeolite’s honeycomb-like structure has a negative charge. This negative charge attracts positively-charged toxins. In many ways, it’s like a magnet for toxins. So, when you take a properly cleansed zeolite supplement, it travels through your body trapping toxins in its “magnetized” honeycomb cage.
Zeolite ability to detox lead, mercury, aluminum, and other heavy metals. This is important to me because heavy metals can damage neurons and trigger anxiety, depression, anger, and attention problems.
Zeolite (1.85 g daily for about 12 weeks) can tighten the intestinal wall and prevent a "leaky gut". It also had a mild anti-inflammatory effect on the gut.
Zeolite can restore healthy gut flora. (1.5 g daily for 2 weeks) has been shown to relieve heartburn, pain, and discomfort. It also binds to urea and ammonia which can cause ulcerative colitis, IBS, and even colon cancer.
Bonus Zeolite helps stop the growth of 2 viral strains (coxsackievirus and echovirus) that invade us through the gut.
Hopefully, you are taking an antioxidant and zeolite may boost antioxidant enzymes. Meaning your antioxidant will work better.
I take Zeolite internally every day. Read Zeolite Med instructions now.
Calms redness and acidic skin conditions Protects skin from pollution Clears and prevents pimples Clears and prevents blackheads Smooths whiteheads Keeps your skin healthy and functioning properly Anti-aging properties Stopped growth of Cold sores Relieve inflammation Stops allergic reaction It helps to restore ph balance. Deeply cleanses and helps purify the skin. Exfoliates evens skin tone and hyperpigmentation Heals wounds and surgical incisions fasterFor my skin, I just put a small amount in a container add distilled water, and apply as needed. For a cleanser, I add a little of the mixture and wash it off. For a mask, I use the same product only I cover my face, accept the eye area, with a think application and let it set on my face for about 15 minutes. Then I rinse and use toner and moisturizer.
Do you use Zeolite?
Which brand do you use?
I found I like Zeolite Pure I bought mine on Amazon.

Help to Turn Anxiety to Excitement
This episode is also available as a blog post: https://health-of-it.com/2021/11/12/help-to-turn-anxiety-to-excitement/
Your self-talk will influence your moods.
What you focus on will manifest in your life.
If you find that anxiety is a major part of your daily life then doing these exercises will help you turn your anxiety into excitement.
Self-talk can initiate or even aggravate a panic attack.
You see a panic attack can start off with these increasing physiological arousal such as more rapid heartbeat, tightness in your chest, or even sweaty palms.
Biologically this is the body’s natural response to stress.
The fight-or-flight response is normally experienced when we perceive a threat or danger.
Understanding what role/roles you play will help you understand your self-talk and how to change it.
Are you “the Worrier?”
This is usually one of the strongest super personalities in people who are prone to anxiety.
“The Worrier” creates anxiety by imagining the worst-case scenario.
The worrier” promotes your fear of what is happening is dangerous or embarrassing.
In short “the Worrier” dominates your mind.
It anticipates the worse.
It overestimates the odds of something being bad.
Their favorite expression is “What if.”
Are you “the Critic?”
“This Critic”, promotes low self-esteem.
“The critic” is the part of you that’s consistently judging and evaluating your behavior. It tends to point out all of your flaws and limitations whenever possible. It jumps on any mistake that you make to remind you that you are a failure.
The critic” might be that voice of your mother or father or that dreaded teacher or anyone who’s wounded you in the past.
Their favorite expressions would be, “That was stupid. What a disappointment you are.”
The typical critic self-talk would be, “You’re so stupid. You can’t get anything right. Why are you always this way? You could have done better.”
You might be “the Victim.”
The victim” promotes depression.
“The victim” is the part of you that feels helpless and hopeless.
It generates anxiety by telling you that you’re not making any progress. That your condition is incurable and that the road is too long and too steep for you to make any real recovery.
Their favorite expression will be “I can’t. I’ll never be able to do that”.
You see “the victim” holds negative self-beliefs as I’m hopeless and nothing is ever going to work out.
Maybe you are the perfectionist?
You see “the perfectionist” promotes chronic stress and burnout.
“The perfectionist” is closely related to the critic, but its concerns are less put on you putting you down and it pushes you to be better.
It generates anxiety by constantly telling you that your efforts aren’t good enough.
“The perfectionist” has a tendency to try to convince you that your self-worth is dependent on something outside of yourself such as money and status, acceptance by others, your ability to please, and how nice you are to others.
Regardless of what they do “the perfectionist” isn’t convinced by any notions of inherent self-worth but instead pushes into stress exhaustion and burnout trying to pursue these goals.
“The perfectionist,” favorite expressions will be “I should, I have to, I must.
“The perfectionist” may even provide instruction as “I should always be on top of things,
I should always be considerate and unselfish,
I should always be pleasant and nice.
I have to get that job.
I have to make this amount of money.
If you are like me then you might be a combination of the different roles.
Changing from negative self-talk to positive is the first step but you have to do it daily for 63 days to truly make a new habit/behavior.
Each day I want you to write down all your negative self-talk and then write a counter to it. Change the negative to a positive.
Now if you have some negative self-talk that’s just not that easy to switch over find a positive statement to say I want you to ask yourself these questions for those beliefs.

Your Life is the Creation of Your Mind
This episode is also available as a blog post: http://health-of-it.com/2020/06/30/your-life-is-the-creation-of-your-mind/
Hypnotherapy and Neuroplasticity
Neuroplasticity is the ability for your brain to re-wire itself and hypnotherapy is a powerful tool, that can be used to strengthen your neural connections or create new neural pathways. Your brain is constantly changing and creating new pathways as a reaction to Your thoughts, Your emotions, and Your experiences.
Did you know that your brains contain about one billion neurons?
Every time you learn a new skill, have a new experience or think a new thought, you change your brain.
If you keep thinking the same thoughts and repeat the same behavior, you keep firing and wiring the same neural patterns. You create your behavior and how you responded to everything that happens in your life.
The words you tell yourself and the pictures you paint inside your mind will create your personal world.
If the words you say and the pictures you paint for yourself are positive, you’ll see positive results in your life.
If they are negative, you will see the negative.
If you are struggling with unwanted habits or emotions, you can learn how to change them. You have the power to change your life.
If you are not succeeding in business or in your personal life, you can learn to change the wiring of your brain so you can reach your full potential.
Hypnotherapy
The brain doesn’t make a distinction between imagined and real.
Do you remember watching a movie and knowing well, what you see on the screen is not real, but still being able to experience a range of different emotions?
Did you ever have a great dream or a nightmare?
Did you ever hear about the placebo and nocebo effects?
As you can see, you use your mind every day, every minute to heal you or to harm you. And every minute, you change your brain.
Your thinking reflects in your body.
Your body reacts to your thoughts.
Do your thoughts make you feel relaxed or stressed?
Do you feel optimistic or negative?
Hypnotherapy helps you access your subconscious mind and focus on what you want to create.
You will learn how to relax and experience in YOUR mind your vision. You will re-wire your brain and learn how to behave and think differently. By repeating the new thoughts and behaviors, you will create new neural pathways. You will literally change your brain as the brain will delete the neural connections, that are no longer needed.
If you want to experience in your life happiness, confidence, calmness, creativity, or resilience you have to think about the thoughts, that reflect those qualities.
Hypnotherapy is a great way to create changes in your life, but You need to be committed and work towards the goal.
Your life is the creation of Your mind.

The Link Between L-Glutamine and Sugar Cravings
This episode is also available as a blog post: https://health-of-it.com/l-glutamine-and-sugar-cravings/
What is L-Glutamine and How Does it Work?
L-Glutamine is an amino acid that is naturally produced by the body and is also found in certain foods such as beef, chicken, fish, and eggs. It plays a vital role in many bodily functions including protein synthesis, immune function, and gut health. Additionally, L-Glutamine is considered a conditionally essential amino acid, meaning that the body may not produce enough of it during times of stress or illness, and supplementation may be necessary to meet the body’s needs.
One of the lesser-known benefits of L-Glutamine supplementation is its potential to reduce sugar cravings. Sugar cravings are a common phenomenon that can be caused by a variety of factors including hormonal imbalances, stress, and nutrient deficiencies. Research suggests that L-Glutamine may help reduce sugar cravings by regulating blood sugar levels, increasing satiety, and improving overall gut health.
When L-Glutamine is consumed, it is converted to glucose in the liver, which can help stabilize blood sugar levels and prevent the sharp spikes and crashes that can lead to sugar cravings. Additionally, L-Glutamine has been shown to increase feelings of fullness and satiety, which can reduce the urge to consume sugary foods.
L-Glutamine may also improve gut health, which can play a role in reducing sugar cravings. The gut microbiome plays a crucial role in regulating appetite and cravings, and an imbalance in gut bacteria can lead to an increased desire for sugary foods. Studies have shown that L-Glutamine supplementation can improve gut barrier function, reduce inflammation, and increase the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, all of which can contribute to a reduction in sugar cravings.

Diurnal Cortisol Curve
This episode is also available as a blog post: http://health-of-it.com/2020/02/27/diurnal-cortisol-curve/
Did you know that Stress and Adrenal function can affect sleep, particularly the circadian pattern of cortisol secretion by the adrenal glands? Circulating cortisol normally rises and falls throughout the 24-hour daily cycle, and is typically highest at around 8 AM and lowest between midnight and 4 AM. Both high and low nighttime cortisol levels can interrupt sound sleep. When the adrenals fatigue, adrenal hormone levels may become low, leading to another possible source of nighttime sleep disruption – low blood sugar.
Diurnal Cortisol Curves also called a four-point cortisol curve or circadian cortisol pattern
The normal rise in cortisol production is usually within 30 minutes of waking up. Cortisol levels then drop throughout the day, reaching their lowest point at around bedtime.
If you have prolonged stress demands this will cause higher than normal cortisol production throughout the day. Some symptoms are feeling “tired but wired,” food cravings, insomnia, and anxiety.
Chronic fatigue usually will show elevated morning cortisol with levels dropping off rapidly throughout the day. The symptoms of this show up as mid-day energy drops, drowsiness, along with poor exercise recovery.
The burnout, “adrenal fatigue” is really a reflection of low overall cortisol during the day. Your symptoms will be all-day-long fatigue, irritability, food cravings, insomnia, and exhaustion.

Need To Lose Weight Fast?

Lose Weight Fast
How can I lose 10lbs in a month for a special event compared to how do I lose 10lbs for better health?
If you need to drop the weight fast because you have a special event coming up then fasting (Intermittent and extended) and low carbs, high good fat, moderate protein is the best go-to plan.
If you want better health, and less pain and inflammation then fasting (Intermittent and extended) and low carbs, high good fat, moderate protein, is the best go-to plan.
What? Wait these are the same lifestyles!!!
Yes, I know.
I found a way to do both with the same formate.
Let me explain.
3,500 calories = 1 pound of fat
So you need to eliminate about 3,500 calories from your diet to lose 1 pound.
If you cut about 500 calories a day from the diet, you’d lose about 1 pound of fat a week.
Now here is the Magic!!!
Water weight is 15.34 oz per lb.
1 Pound = 15.34 oz of Water!!
No, don’t stop drinking water to lose weight drink more water (100 oz with Himalayan salt), and eat fewer carbohydrates. (I wrote a blog on just what happens with the extra unused energy you get from carbohydrates.)
Why drink so much water?
That is a whole other blog post for this topic, but it helps to get rid of all the toxins in your body.
So to lose weight: Eat 500 fewer calories than your BMR and decrease your carbohydrates.

How to Have Metabolic Flexibility
This episode is also available as a blog post: http://health-of-it.com/2020/04/24/how-to-have-metabolic-flexibility/ What is Metabolic Flexibility?
Metabolic flexibility refers to how efficiently your body can switch between using carbs or fats for fuel. Simply put, are you a fat burner or a sugar burner? Being metabolically flexible has been shown to improve overall health and wellness by boosting insulin sensitivity, reducing the risk of disease, and training your body to adapt to the different metabolic demands you put on it every meal.
Metabolic inflexibility is the limited ability to switch from one fuel source to the other.
If you are metabolically inflexible generally you feel pretty poor: fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, poor sleep, low mood or depression, poor cognitive function, and shortness of breath. Over 90 million people are pre-diabetic.
Do you find it hard to finish the tasks at hand? Do you take frequent coffee breaks for caffeine-induced energy? Do you get frustrated easily? Do you have trouble sleeping? Are you always hungry? Do you have a lot of cravings? If so then you may have an inflexible metabolism.
Fasted Cardio, Intermittent Fasting, and eating to keep insulin levels low.
All food you eat regardless can spark the release of insulin.
Insulin is a factor in deciding which fuel source your body uses. When insulin levels are low, your body likes to burn fat. When insulin levels are high, your body likes to burn carbs and store fat.
I follow the M.A.D.E. diet. The MADE diet is a lifestyle plan that incorporates moderate protein, adequate fat, and decreased carbs.
Fasted Cardio means cardiovascular exercise with little to no glycogen stored. Meaning doing cardio when you have not had calories for at least 10-12 hours.
Intermittent Fasting is simply don’t eat first thing in the morning and stopping eating 3 hours before you go to bed. So the longer the fasting period, the more your body has to tap into its fat reserves. Start with 12/12 Eat 12 hours fast 12 hours. Do that for one week then go to 14/10 for one week and then 16/8.

Hypnosis is Not About Being Asleep
This episode is also available as a blog post: http://health-of-it.com/2020/10/15/hypnosis-is-not-about-being-asleep/
People often mistakenly think that being hypnotized means being asleep and that one can be made to do things while they are sleeping.
This is false. Think of it more like the sleep of the nervous system.
Hypnosis takes place in the Alpha and Theta brain wave state which are described in order below.
What Are The Brain Waves in Hypnosis?
1) Beta (14-40Hz) – This is the Waking Consciousness and Reasoning Brain Wave
Beta brain waves are associated with normal waking consciousness and a heightened state of alertness, logic, and critical reasoning. This is the state we are in while we work, and have conversations and interactions in our daily lives. Beta brain waves are important for effective functioning throughout the day, they also can also translate into stress, anxiety, and restlessness.
If Beta had a voice it would be described as the voice in our head or our constant stream of thought. This is the time when you have a full-on conversation with yourself in your head.
2) Alpha (7.5-14Hz) – Now we are in the Deep Relaxation Brain Wave
Alpha brain waves are present in deep relaxation and usually when the eyes are closed when you’re slipping into a lovely daydream or during light meditation. This is the optimal time to program your mind for success and it also heightens your imagination, visualization, memory, learning, and concentration.
It is the gateway to your subconscious mind and lies at the base of your conscious awareness.
This is an optimal state for hypnotherapy. is 7.5 and it is here that the voice of Alpha your intuition becomes clearer and more profound. This is a time when all the noise of the Beta state decreases to a large degree and the subconscious mind is open to suggestion.
3) Theta (4-7.5Hz) – This is the Deep Meditation And Light Sleeping Brain Wave
Theta brain waves are present during deep meditation and light sleep, including the all-important REM dream state. Your mind’s most deep-seated programs are at Theta and it is where you can experience vivid visualizations, get great inspiration, have profound creativity, and gain exceptional insight.
The optimal range for visualization and hypnosis or reprogramming of your mind begins at the Alpha-Theta border, from 7Hz to 8Hz.
This is the mental state in which you consciously create your reality.
You are conscious of your surroundings however your body is in deep relaxation. This is the description of what hypnosis is. It isn’t sleep, it isn’t a magic trick, it’s simply a relaxed brain wave state.

Your Stinking Thinking
This episode is also available as a blog post: http://health-of-it.com/2020/08/19/your-stinking-thinking/
7 Types of Stinking Thinking
Stop your stinking thinking and start getting the results you want in life, in your relationships, and in your career. The words that you say and the pictures you create in your mind and the mind of those around you will determine whether you live a happy, peaceful, prosperous, and fulfilling life.
1)Over- Generalising– saying things like You Always….. or You Never….. are bossy or judgmental. You sometimes…. or you often…. will be more accurate and less confrontational.
2)Over-Emotional Reasoning– Relies on your feelings to determine your actions and decisions. Ask yourself what is the thought that is leading you to this feeling and is it justified? Think about how you react when you are mad, upset, or hurt, do you make good decisions? Now think about how you react when you are calm, coming from a place of peace. Look at how are they different. Which one will give you the results you desire?
3)Making Demands– Words like “Must”, “Should”, and “Ought to” are demanding. Instead, use words like “Wish”, “Prefer”, and “Want” to reflect your feelings and desires.
4)Catastrophes/Future Telling– Predicting the future in a dark and gloomy way. You can not predict the future you can only predict the way you will react to the future. If the “worst” did happen how can you react in a constructive way instead of a destructive way?
5)Mind Reader- You assume what others think about you and they are purposely doing certain things. Instead, just ask the person if they are thinking about what you think they are thinking. Are they purposefully trying to hurt you?
6)Noticing and Remembering only the Negative– You pay little attention to the positive aspects of your situations. For every negative aspect, focus on 5 positive aspects.
7)Excessive Self Criticism- Putting yourself down and only seeing the bad qualities. Remember you are Perfectly Imperfect. STOP BULLYING YOURSELF. YOU ARE ENOUGH!

Strong Immune System
This episode is also available as a blog post: https://health-of-it.com/strong-immune-system/
If you want a Strong Immune System, You have to know the Invaders
Your immune system has a job to do and it constantly defends and protects you from the outside world by identifying the infectious agent and other disease-causing agents.
Infectious agents can enter your body in many different ways like the mouth, nose, bites, or wounds.
From bacteria to fungi to parasites that live off human bodies, understanding how these agents attack our bodies is the first step in developing treatments and cures for the infections they cause.
You can not fix what you do not know is broken.
I live by this.
I study and research every day to help myself and others to have an understanding of how their body works do they can have a strong immune system and live a life they love.
Bacteria are microscopic, single-celled organisms that can live almost anywhere; responsible for diseases such as UTIs, STIs, pneumonia, staph infections, strep throat, sinus, and ear infections.
VIRUSES are nonliving strands of DNA or RNA that multiply in a living host. Think of the common cold, chickenpox,
influenza, herpes, measles, and SARS-CoV-2. They can only multiply only in living cells of plants, animals and believe it or not bacteria(Bacteriophages)
FUNGI are a class of organisms that includes yeasts and molds that are responsible for athlete’s foot, jock itch, ringworm, and yeast infections. When harmful fungi invade the body, they can be difficult to kill. It survives in the environment and can easily re-infect the person who is trying to get better.
PARASITES are multiple-celled organisms that require a host to survive. Meaning you are their food and their home. Some live in the body some live on the body. They are usually contracted through what you eat (tapeworms), drink (giardia), and even animals and insects (malaria).
Other causes are, for example, toxins, genetic disorders, and the host’s own immune system.
TOXINS are the harmful chemicals created by living cells such as bacteria; toxins are responsible for botulism, diphtheria, and tetanus.
Now you know who the invaders are you can better prepare for any attacks.

Water – Just Drink it

What are The Different Types of Eaters?
This episode is also available as a blog post: https://health-of-it.com/2021/07/13/what-are-the-different-types-of-eater/
Weight Issues Usually have Nothing to do with Weight.
Finding out what is causing the weight gain will be the key to understanding why every diet you try fails. Just to help you understand that this is not a “you” problem, 95% of all diets fail.
Most individuals try to lose weight by doing an action like the newest diet, the best supplement to take, or joining a workout program. Doing these actions will get you some results but they are hard and take a long time and they usually fail.
Instead, find out the thoughts behind the actions. You can do that by sitting and meditating and waiting for the universe to guide you, this will usually take months maybe years it all depends on how quiet you allow your mind to go or you can book a session with me and in 2 hours you will have the answer and a plan to get what you want.
Using RTT® we have the ability to access the subconscious mind allowing us to uncover, reprogram and upgrade limiting beliefs and find the root cause of any mental or physical issue, pattern, or behavior providing complete freedom and healing.
What you need to understand is it is often not just overeating or lack of exercise, it is often an emotional issue.
Let’s look at the different types of eaters and discover some clues to help you reach your goals.
Emotional/Mood Eaters
When you feel tired, stressed, or angry do you put food in your mouth? What you are doing is pushing those feelings down. You are eating your feelings. Let’s look at some habits of emotional eaters: Eating when you’re not hungry. Eating as a self-soothing practice. Using food as a reward. Eating until you feel stuffed. Do you find it hard to control the amount of food you intake?
Addictive Eaters
Are you addicted to highly palatable foods like sugar, fat, and salt? Do you need more of the same food? You can become addicted to food very quickly. Do you know that sugar has the same effect on the body/brain as crack cocaine? Like addictive drugs, highly palatable foods trigger feel-good brain chemicals such as dopamine. Once you experience pleasure associated with increased dopamine transmission in the brain’s reward pathway from eating certain foods, you quickly feel the need to eat again. The reward signals from highly palatable foods may override other signals of fullness and satisfaction. This is when you eat even when you are not hungry.
Angry Eaters
Are you someone who eats when you are stressed? You have stress receptors on the side of the mouth and if you eat potato chips, crunchy French bread, crackers, chewy toffee,- it actually starts to release feel-good feelings. One of the main problems is the more you can hear yourself eat the more you eat. So the crunchy foods to turn to would be celery, carrots, apples, bell peppers, and salads.
Ignorant Eaters
People who really believe a salad from a fast food restaurant must be slimming because it is a salad. Or anything that says low-fat healthy. Eating fat makes you fat. If I don’t eat breakfast and eat every two hours then my metabolism will slow down. An ignorant eater is brainwashed to believe that these foods are healthy. Frank-n-Foods are the ignorant eater’s best friend. If it is processed in a plant you should limit it, or the best advice is to just avoid it.
Destructive Eaters
Were you abused or hurt, or lusted after when you were small? You have an unconscious need to sabotage any efforts of being lean. You unconsciously do not want the attention. You actually destroy any attempt to be slim because you do not like being attractive and you feel very vulnerable and very scared.
Rapid Transformational Therapy can help you to understand the role, function, and purpose the weight plays in your life.

Vagal Nerve Training
This episode is also available as a blog post: https://health-of-it.com/vagal-nerve/
Have you heard of Vagal Nerve Training?
I knew a little bit but then I stumbled on this video and the information below and now I have decided to add these two training methods to my weekly practice.
I can’t wait to teach my clients this amazing technique.
When I started researching the best way to decrease stress I found that breathwork plays an important part.
As I read through several different descriptions of just how to do Vagal Breathing I found the best one so I quoted it below.
This breathwork is said to help increase the feeling of peace and calm.
Click here if you like peace and calm.
Latest research shows that Vagal stimulation has a positive response with Rheumatoid Arthritis, all digestive disorders including Crohn’s, IBS, and diverticulitis, autoimmune disorders including M.S., fibromyalgia, Lupus, Chronic Fatigue, PTSD, Epilepsy, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, anxiety attacks and heart arrhythmia.
Vagal Breathing enhances vagal tone, just 5 minutes a day can make a huge difference. 11 mins a day will balance the endocrine system.25 mins a day will balance blood pressure.
Sit comfortably in a warm room or cover yourself with a blanket.
Pick a hand position that feels right
Close your eyes and observe your natural breath.
Allow your lower belly to expand on the inhale and let your lower belly sink back towards your spine on the exhale. (Continue with this step until it feels easy and natural)
Gently and lightly inhaling through the nose, belly expanding, exhaling through the mouth belly relaxing.
As you inhale through the nose create ujjayi breath or ocean breath by drawing the breath to the back of the sinus cavity.
Exhaling through the mouth with a soft “haaa” sound like you are misting your glasses to clean them.
Creating sound stimulates the Vagal system as does listening to the sound you are making.
Keep the length of the inhale the same and allow the exhale to become longer than the inhale. (this is the key and the short version that can be done during other activities)
At the top of the gentle inhale pause your inhalation for about three seconds. (Breath retention stimulates the Vagal system)
then slowly exhale the breath out through the mouth allowing the exhalation to lengthen as you relax. When you get to the bottom of the exhale coast for a few seconds or as long as it is comfortable. (This time will increase as you relax)
Gently open your eyes 1/10th and focus on a point in front of you on the floor. Try to keep your eyes still.
Continue with the breath pattern.
Close your eyes and return to natural breathing. (This allows the vagal system to reset)
Wait a few minutes before opening your eyes. Notice any changes internally and externally.
With regular Vagal Breathing practice, people report being calmer, more focused, healthier, happier, lighter, and pain-free. This technique can also be done by reclining or propped up on pillows. The reclining version will help people to fall asleep and is particularly effective to fall back asleep after waking during the night.https://bodymindcentre.com/news-2/vagal-breathing-technique/
Which method are you going to try?
The exercises, the wave watching, or the breathwork?
They all will work to help you feel happier and calmer. Give it a try now.

L-Carnitine for Weight Loss
This episode is also available as a blog post: https://health-of-it.com/l-carnitine-weight-loss/
What is L-Carnitine and How Does it Work?
L-carnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid that is synthesized in the liver and kidneys from the amino acids lysine and methionine. It plays a crucial role in the transportation of fatty acids into the mitochondria, which are the energy-producing powerhouses of our cells.
When we consume food, the body converts the carbohydrates into glucose, which is then used as energy. If there is an excess of glucose, it gets stored in the body as fat. L-carnitine helps to transport these fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they can be burned for energy, rather than being stored as fat.
Furthermore, L-carnitine also helps to improve exercise performance by reducing the accumulation of lactic acid in the muscles, which can lead to fatigue and decreased performance. It also helps to reduce muscle damage and soreness, leading to faster recovery times.

90 Second Rule
When you feel an emotion rising up in you, is it coming from an outside source or from your own thoughts?
One thing I tell myself and those I counsel is to truly feel the feeling that you are feeling, for only 90 seconds.
Truly feel joy, happiness, anger, sadness, whatever emotion shows up “FEEL IT”. After 90 seconds, you are no longer feeling the feeling because of an emotional response, you are now creating that feeling from your thoughts and beliefs.
Stop!!!
Don’t stay caught up in the emotional loop.
That is how you find yourself living in the known past or the predictable future.
Live in the now.
Feel the emotion of “NOW”!
Not what has happened or what could happen.
The only true reality is the present moment.
The present moment is the reality that we need to base our emotional well-being on.
Break the Emotional Loop
1)Identify the Emotional Response:
How does it feel?
Does it have a color, shape, or size?

The Science of Trauma: Understanding How it Impacts the Brain and Body
This episode is also available as a blog post: https://health-of-it.com/healing-trauma/
Trauma is a complex and multifaceted experience that affects millions of people worldwide. It can be defined as a response to a traumatic event that overwhelms an individual’s ability to cope and can cause long-lasting effects on their emotional, psychological, and physical well-being. Contrary to popular belief, trauma is not physically held in the muscles or bones. Instead, the need to protect oneself from perceived threats is stored in the memory and emotional centers of the brain, such as the hippocampus and amygdala. This activates the body whenever a situation reminds the person of the traumatic event(s).

Mindful Eating- Don’t Eat Like A Zombie
This episode is also available as a blog post: http://health-of-it.com/2020/03/23/mindful-eating-dont-eat-like-a-zombie/
If I feel rundown I rest.
I listen to my body and give it what it needs to be healthy not what it needs to make me happy. Now is not the time to eat for pleasure. Practicing intermittent fasting, mindful eating, and awareness of how you feel when you eat something should be key right now.
Well most of us just shovel the food in our mouth. The only bite we truly taste and enjoy is the first.
So with mindful eating, you focus on what you are eating.
How does it taste?
Does the taste change the longer you chew your food?
How do different combinations of what you are eating taste?
Do you notice yourself getting flushed or does your temperature rise after eating a certain food?
Are you itching?
Do you experience heartburn or indigestion?
Which food do you notice this with?
Do you fight acne?
These are just some of the questions you ask yourself when you eat or drink.
Another way to be mindful is to pay attention to how much you eat. Portion control, eating slowly and not like a zombie is a great place to start your mindful eating.
Why not like a zombie?
Well, zombies are mindless.
What is mindless eating?
Remember that bag of potato chips you ate the other night while watching the tv?
What about the bowl of M&M’s you have sitting on the counter oh wait the bowl is empty how did that happen?
Taking a bite or two of food while you are cooking? (My tip to help with that one is to chew a fresh piece of gum. Why fresh because you will have the taste/flavor all in your mouth and eating something right then would not be pleasant. )
How about when you go to one of the stores that have samples all around, did you plan those calories? Was it even good for you or do you just eat because someone offers it to you?
How many times do you eat while driving? You definitely are Zombie eating, if not you would end up in a wreck.
Movie theaters are the worse. A big thing of popcorn covered in butter with a giant drink. That is enough to feed at least 6 people but maybe two people eat it. By the way, your body does not like popcorn and sodas. So If you were practicing mindful eating you wouldn’t eat it in the first place, let alone a giant bag of it with the monster drink that cost a fortune. Come on save yourself some money.
We are trained to believe we have to have snacks to watch a movie.
You need a bedtime snack so you can sleep better.
Eat every 2 hours to keep your metabolism high.
Lies!!!
So many lies we have been told and so many lies we tell ourselves and teach to our children.
Time to take your life in control and start Mindful Eating.
It just might give you your health back.
What do I Mean about Mindful Eating?

This episode is also available as a blog post: https://health-of-it.com/2021/09/24/how-much-protein-do-you-need/
General Guidelines for the amount of protein are 0.8 – 2 grams per kilogram of body weight for the best performance and health.
Wait Kilograms I measure in pounds/lbs. how do I get to kilograms?
First, calculate your weight in kilograms by dividing your weight in pounds by 2.2. (round up or down)
Second, decide how many grams of protein per kilogram of body weight is appropriate for you.
good health and are sedentary: 0.8g per kg. (between 1.0 and 1.2) if you are under stress, pregnant, recovering from an illness, or if you are involved in consistent and intense weight or endurance training.Third, multiply your weight in kg times the number of protein grams daily.
Fourth, multiply by 4 to get how many calories are from protein.
Example:
140-pound (lb.) female who exercisers and lifts weights at least 3 x a week, but is not training at an elite level:
140 lb./2.2 = 64 kg 64kg × 1.2 = 77 grams of protein per day 77 × 4= 307 caloriesThis an easy chart to use.
Sedentary .08 g
100 lbs. 36 g
150 lbs. 55 g
200 lbs. 73 g
Workout 3 times a week 1.0 g
100 lbs 45g
150 lbs 68g
200 lbs 91g
Elite Athlete 1.2-2.0 g
100 lbs 54-90 g
150 lbs 82-136 g
200 lbs 110-182 g

100 lbs. 54-68 g
50 lbs. 82- 102 g
200 lbs. 110- 137 g
Another way to calculate how much protein you need is by using daily calorie intake and the percentage of calories that will come from protein.
First, determine how many calories your body needs each day to maintain your current weight:
Find out what your basal metabolic rate (BMR) is by using a BMR calculator
For a 140-pound female who consumes 1344 calories per day eating a diet composed of 20 percent protein:
1344 x 0.20 = 269 calories from protein 269 calories / 4 = 67 grams of protein per dayNow, are you trying to maintain or lose weight?
Calculate your BMI to find out if you need to lose weight.
If you need to lose weight, cut back on complex carbohydrates and increase good fat intake.
