In this episode I interview my childhood friend Ashley Escalante. Ashley is a Speech-Language Pathologist who has experience working in hospital settings and in schools. She has a passion for learning languages, traveling, and helping others. Throughout our conversation we discuss Ashley's journey to Speech-Language Pathology, what the role of an SLP is, and what educators can do to best support students with disabilities.

Our guest for the show is the 2020 Montana Teacher of the Year & Top 4 National Finalist Linda Rost! In this episode we are joined by the lovely Colleen Good who is the founder of the Facebook Group Teaching During COVID-19. In this conversation we learn about Colleen's teaching career as a Special Education Teacher, the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic on her and her school, and the rapid growth of her very first Facebook Group which now has over 130,000 active members! 

In this episode, I interview my colleague Tess Gibson who has experience teaching in charter networks and in public schools. During this discussion we explore the different approach each type school is taking to address the needs of students during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we address the pros and cons of each one. Please note that this discussion is the fruition of one person's experience and not the representation of what all charter networks and public schools are doing.

Our first official episode features the Louisiana State Teacher of the Year Chris Dier! Chris recently published an open letter to high school seniors addressing the unfortunate reality that they are facing during the Covid-19 pandemic. The letter went viral and got the attention of many media channels including the Today show. On this episode, Chris and I explore the journey of his teaching career, the impact of his letter, what we can do to support students during this pandemic, and much more!
