Anchored in Wellness: Black MENtal Health
This week the ladies are taking a break and the men are in control! Yes, you read that right, we actually left Gio and Justin alone in the studio with the equipment unsupervised. And while Justin cursed once, they brought in Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor, Antonio Wheeler to have a conversation about men's mental health and what support looks like in the Black community for our men. With the studio to themselves, the men of TMP get real and share their experiences with vulnerability, encounters with the police, and more.

re·lease
1. allow or enable to escape from confinement; set free.
It takes a LOT to be a Multitasker and show up day after day ready to go above and beyond. If we're being honest (and we always are) June was a rough one for us. We had to fight, hard, to show up at our best and even then some days we still couldn't cut it. The good news is we learned a lot from our experiences and now we can share with you.
On this episode of The Multitasker Podcast, your favorite cohost comes together to talk about their experiences over the past 30 days. We cover everything from running a new business to navigating a breakup and the dating scene to dealing with loss and so much more.
We're getting really vulnerable in this one...we needed to.

The Experiment: Growing Up Black
re·spect·a·bil·i·ty
- the state or quality of being proper, correct, and socially acceptable.
What started off as a random game of "name your taboo" quickly turned into revelations from growing up black and the respectability politics that come with it. Respectability Politics is defined as a set of beliefs holding that conformity to prescribed mainstream standards of appearance and behavior will protect a person who is part of a marginalized group, especially a Black person, from prejudices and systemic injustices. Some, in cultural settings, can be argued to be "Black Standards," but what implications do those have when we live amongst a broader society? From minding our manners, to respecting our elders, and even sharing salaries and how we raise our kids. We're constantly confronting our past experiences and learnings to determine our future. On this episode of The Multitasker Podcast, our hosts share their thoughts about some of the Black community's taboo topics and their real-life experiences with them.

Falling Into Purpose with Actress Ta'Rhonda Jones
man·i·fest
- to make evident or certain by showing or displaying.
Imagine being asked to apply for a job you have no background in or idea how to do. Imagine, you somehow land the job and now your life is changed forever. Sounds crazy right?
For Empire star Ta'Rhonda Jones, that was her reality. Having never acted professionally in her life, Ta'Rhonda landed her role as Porsha on Empire, personal assistant to Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson), and catapulted her career into heights she could at one point only imagine. Now, the actress/producer/director/rapper/philanthropist/MasterChef Champ is live with us on The Multitasker Podcast sharing her story and so much more!

au·then·tic
adjective

Make Sure You Read From Right to Left
New: /ˈnü/: of dissimilar origin and usually of superior quality.
Can we be real with you? Sometimes, being Multitasker sucks! Specifically, it’s those times when every segment of your life gets busy out of nowhere– finding balance seems impossible, the to-do lists are never-ending, and you’re not making it to the gym or eating anything that’s going to do your body good. Let’s not even start with the missed calls, emails, and text counts. In these moments, you’re just skating. Doing what you can to get by and get through it all before you get to the point of feeling stable again.
Have you experienced this? Another truth moment, being in this space as a Multitasker almost stopped us from recording this episode. We’ve all come into whirlwinds that are bringing new experiences that come with new requirements of us. In episode 10 of The Multitasker Podcast, we catch you up on all the excitement, how we’re dealing, and tips for climbing out of the overwhelm/rut.

I Don't Take Pictures Anymore
Scared: scare·d | /'skerd/: being in a state of fear, fright, or panic.
As a Multitasker, it's only natural that you're involved in so many things. From your full-time job to your entrepreneurial endeavors, family, organizations--you name it, you're doing it. But, when's the last time you tried something new? Stepped out of your comfort zone? Done something you were afraid to do?
Growth is what happens as soon as you step outside of your comfort and allow yourself to try something new. In Episode 09 of The Multitasker Podcast, we're talking about doing "it" afraid. Whatever your "it" is, it's time for you to conquer it! Joined by Ebone Almon, The Professional Homegirl, your TMP host get real about the successes and failures that taught them to keep going even when times were hard and they were afraid.

It's Just...What I Do!
Celebrate: cel·e·brate | /ˈseləˌbrāt/: honor or praise publicly.
Is it just us or is it sometimes easier to celebrate the successes of others than it is ourselves? Or, do you find that you're so focused on the big goal that you don't pay attention to the milestone moments and accomplishments that happen along the way? We can definitely say we're all of the above and if we're being honest, we don't know how things got this way. Celebrating the wins is an important part of the learning process and something that we should be embracing with both arms. In episode 07 of The Multitasker Podcast, Coach Bry and Guest, Kenyatta Young, talk about what it means to not only celebrate the wins but also embrace failure while moving through life and accomplishing goals.

Everyone Has Imagination!
Creative: cre·a·tive| / krēˈādiv /: relating to or involving the imagination or original ideas, especially in the production of artistic work.
In Episode 06: Staying Creative, the squad comes back together to talk about why creativity is important no matter what your role or industry is and how we're each staying creative as adults. If we're really being real, when it comes to creativity kids know the secret sauce to go all in. That's why Bry took a moment to sit down with guest, and 7-year-old creativity expert, Haviland K. to get her take on the topic and advice on how to be more innovative. This episode gets a little chaotic with some impromptu rapping and more-- but...would we be us if it didn't?
