What a terrific time to jump in as a Basketball Card collector and investor!  Today's episode reviews some of the hottest players in the NBA and their card values that could continue to rise - including the return of Darius Garland, Zion Williamson, and Jamal Murray!  Gary also goes over some timely advice for investors looking to sell or unload cards on eBay and how to make your sales listings stand out.  Finally, there are certain players and teams that are dominating the news for all the wrong reasons.  We hate to say we told you so... but... well... we just can't (ever) recommend investing in Kyrie, Lamelo, Miles, Ben, or A.D.   If you love taking risks, then by all means, buy some of those guys' cards when they are injured and values are down.  We just can't.  It's also time to call out some of the inconsistent young stars who seem to be struggling to start this season, which is already ten games old!  If Scottie Barnes, Jordan Poole, and Tyler Herro aren't taking that "next step" in performance on the court, then we aren't buying their cards off the court.

Last night was full of awesome performances, prime-time games, and incredible shots in the NBA.  We all know about Luka Doncic and Jayson Tatum, but what about the return of Darius Garland, the excellence of Desmond Bane, or the emergence of Tyrese Maxey?  Do big games lead to big profits in the card market?  The answer is "yes, sometimes!"  Today's episode looks at current trends in the basketball card market while we are still in the midst of Baseball's World Series, the NFL playoff chases, and counting down to World Cup 2022.  Basketball card values can still be found, and we look at eight players who are putting together some all-star performances on the court and hopefully, soon, in the sports card market!

Well, with the NBA season less than TWO weeks away, we decided to rank our TOP 30 players to invest in heading into the 2022-23 campaign.  Some players are worth taking a long look at and learning about their basketball card markets before you buy, and today's episode zeroes in on players ranking 30-21 in our countdown.  You'll hear Gary mention some players he totally loves and is invested in personally, and some players he avoids but gives appropriate respect as players and investments in the NBA.

Failing to plan is like planning to fail.  If you want a great collection of Basketball cards, then you've got to plan your attack and know when to buy and when to sell.  The NBA calendar is like a 12-month roller coaster for card collectors and investors, full of opportunities to buy low and sell high.  You can buy during boring times and sell during exciting times.  You can seize deals on All-Stars in September and sell them in February.  You can watch players and playoff teams emerge in January and sell their cards in May when they actually make that playoff run.  In today's episode, our host Gary from HoopsandCards.com gives us a game plan for the next 5-6 months and reminds us that everything about Basketball card prices, hype, and sales eventually builds up to the playoffs and NBA Finals in June.  

Some basic notes about each month... SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER are still "bargain times" when many card investors are focusing on other sports.  NOVEMBER and DECEMBER are times when you can watch NBA games and see which players and teams are emerging, improved, or seriously contending in 2023.  JANUARY and FEBUARY are times to showcase the All-Stars, new Superstars, and breakout players with bright futures.  The All-Star game and the NBA Playoffs are great times to plan to SELL cards of players who have drawn the attention of the whole league and Basketball card investors worldwide.  Don't be easily swayed by one game or performance unless it's historic or record-breaking.  Do make note of players you think would be worth investing in for short-term and long-term gains.  Patience is key during an 82-game season, with lots of opportunities and pitfalls ahead.
