Tad Barnes Lucas: Trailblazing Cowgirl
Tad Barnes Lucas: Trailblazing Cowgirl
Quite a few episodes ago, Lynn and Regina did an episode on Lanham Riley. And in that episode Regina learned how fascinating his wife, Mitzi was. And then when she realized how super fascinating her mom, Tad was. Lynn and Regina said that they would do a separate episode on Tad and Mitzi, and that is exactly what they are doing in this episode.
Not only are Tad and Mitzi fascinating but they are pioneers when it comes to women in rodeo. This episode is sure to be a fan favorite!

Western Hats & the Stetson Influence
Western Hats & the Stetson Influence
If there is one piece of Western wear that has become the ultimate symbol of the American cowboy, it's the cowboy hat. Like all Western wear, hats were made to be as tough as a trail and start off as accessories purchased based purely on function, rather than fashion. And that is what Lynn and Regina are talking about in this episode: Western Hats and the Stetson Influence.

Gracie Spinks Murder
Gracie Spinks Murder
Listeners, the topic Regina and Lynn are discussing on today’s episode is a serious one. The story they share is about a beautiful young woman who was actually stalked and murdered.
But the hard part about this story is that it happened at her horse barn. For many horse people, the barn is a sanctuary. A place to get lost in thoughts while doing chores, and that may be why this story hits so close to home.
By sharing Gracie’s story, the hope is to bring awareness and prevent other tragic losses.

On the Road with Lynn: Dr. Jorge Valdes Cocaine Drug Lord
Regina and Lynn are so very excited to share today’s episode, the first episode of the New Year with you. In this episode Lynn and Regina sit down with Dr. Jorge Valdes the author of the documentary Coming Clean, the founder and the host of the Narco Mindset Podcast, and the Narco Mindset Academy.
Jorge was featured on Cocaine Cowboys, the Netflix series that was number one for quite some time, about how Miami became the cocaine capital of the United States.
But what they are really going to talk about today is Jorge's involvement in the Quarter Horse Industry, as a breeder and owner all while running the largest cartel in the US before walking away from it all and becoming a legitimate business owner with his own 320 acre ranch in Florida.
A huge thanks to our sponsor Purple Power Animal Nutrition!

Horse Industry Crimes Part 2
Horse Industry Crimes Part 2
Regina and Lynn have delved into the dark side of the horse industry and they have been shocked at the amount of stories out there.
Unfortunately, countless stories about fraud, accompanied by ill-gotten financial gains, seized horse properties, as well as high dollar horses are nothing new in the equine industry in recent years. In fact, there have been at least two high profile criminal cases involving federal horse seizures and interestingly, both have ties to the American Quarter Horse Association.
Today, Regina and Lynn are discussing those stories in this second part of Horse Industry Crimes.

Chincoteague Island Ponies Part 2
Chincoteague Island Ponies Part 2
Lynn and Regina are back again with Part 2 of the Chincoteague Island Ponies episode. And just in case you were wondering, Misty and Stormy are still sitting on their desk a week later for this episode.
Lynn and Regina have had a ton of fun talking about these ponies. Last week, they discussed the two different islands, how the ponies got to the islands, and the auction that happens every spring where you can purchase your very own Misty or Stormy. They have even started a coin jar to start saving to buy their own ponies.
So this week they are going to talk about the story of Misty of Chincoteague as well as the family that raised her and the author of the book that purchased, wrote and made Misty famous. Let’s dive into Part 2.

Chincoteague Island Ponies Part 1
Chincoteague Island Ponies Part 1
Raise your hand if you had a Misty and Stormy figurine from Chincoteague Island growing up? Both Lynn and Regina read and loved the books which is not a surprise since they were horse/pony obsessed, and still are. So it would only make sense that they would record an episode about the ponies of Chincoteague Island.
This is the first of two episodes about this most beloved story. In this first part they will cover the two herds of Island ponies, some of the backstory, and fact-based history. And then the second one, airing next week is all about Misty.
Head to the basement or up to the attic, pull out those dusty book covers and Misty figurines, we’re heading back to our childhoods as we dive into this nostalgic story about all of our favorite ponies.

On the Road with Regina: Kasi Huver
In this week’s episode we are back on the road with Regina as she talks with Kasi Huver, who she has known for the past ten years. Kasi is an instructor at Fox Run Stables, where she works with primarily children, including Regina’s own daughter.
Regina and Lynn want to bring diversity to the Horse Industry Podcast, and while Regina has spent a lot of time in the Pleasure World, and Lynn is in the Cutter World, they thought it would be really exciting to bring in Kasi’s perspective, since she is from the Hunter/Jumper World.
No matter what world you belong to, we know you’ll enjoy this episode!

6666's Part Two
6666's Part Two
The band is back together in this second episode about 6666’s Ranch in Texas. Lynn & Regina start the episode by wondering, how does one ever cover the ranch and everything that goes along with it completely? They aren’t sure so there may be part three and part four to this episode. If you haven’t yet go back and listen to Part 1 before you jump into this episode where Lynn and Regina discuss the Anne’s of the Ranch, fondly known as Miss Anne and Little Anne, Anne Marion. Including her philanthropic contributions (that’s a mouthful) to the Ranch, Fort Worth, and the Southwest.
And Lynn touches on the topic of all the horses of the ranch: performance horses, race horses, cutting horses, and ranch horses.

On the Road with Lynn: Tater Lux
On the Road with Lynn: Tater Lux
Lynn is still on the road this week and in this episode she is sitting down with elite roper, horse trainer, cowboy and entrepreneur, Tater Lux.
When Regina and Lynn started the Horse Industry Podcast, they wanted to make sure that they had diversity in their topics but also in their guests they have on the show. That means they’re going to cover the pleasure horse industry, the cutting horse industry and they’re even going to cover some Rodeo, beginning with today’s episode.
Tater and Lynn discuss stories from Tater’s youth, including his claim to fame at the age of 14, how he lost a finger (you read that correctly) his Sophomore year of college, the World Series of Roping in Las Vegas, Tater’s first pony and more.
Get ready, this episode is all about bulls and blood, and dust and mud, and the roar of a Sunday crowd.

6666 Ranch
6666 Ranch
Regina and Lynn are back in the same state and in the same studio for today’s episode. And they couldn’t think of a better episode to bring to you while together than this episode about the history of the horse industry and specifically the 6666 Ranch in Texas. Lynn became intrigued about the 6666 logo that she kept running across every time that she would go to a cutting and then Regina got interested and decided to check into the 6666 Ranch. And the next thing they know they’re buying swag (you’ll have to listen in to see what they got). In today’s episode they discuss the history behind the ranch, how the logo came to be, and why the ranch is currently for sale. They even left in a blooper for your enjoyment. Enjoy the first of what they hope will be many episodes about this legendary ranch.
