What can a label actually do for you? Is it better to be independent? Does being on a label hurt or help you? We breakdown some pros and cons to help envision whats really in it for you or your artist/friend. To be able to decide I went over some key points to help with that process. Travis Scott drops his new beverage named 'Cacti' which has been trending over this week, Kid Cudi is going to shoot a Cole Bennet video, and Drake keeps tearing up the game. Rolling Stone dropped an amazing article which shows that the major labels, and big artists are also paying for third-party streams! We also get into why the Weekend doesn't want to send any more songs into the Grammys. Being able to digest this new information and what it actually means for the independent game is something I will lay out for you. Whats good guys!!! This week is a little different. I am coming to y'all to speak about how my first week of the complete detox has been going. I been having ups n downs on this journey so far. I let y'all know how I am doing, but at the same time I pray and hope you guys are doing well too. I thank you for all the support, love, and encouragement you guys have been giving me. Got Josh Van Hoorebeke from St. Louis to do an interview with me! Throughout the interview you get to experience a journey to where he is now as a producer/musician. For new artists/musicians/music lovers I would really listen and hear how far music has gotten Josh. As current and striving artist I would listen to the hardships and luxuries to come when wanting to pursue a music career. I tell you about the breakdown the RIAA does to determine how album copies are sold. I also breakdown how important streams are for the mainstream artist thru RIAA explanation.
