Happiful: Finding What WorksFeb 02, 2021

Happiful Team: What Works For Us
For the final episode of season one I’m joined by some of my Happiful colleagues to talk about what does and doesn’t work - from burnout and grief to flexible working and connection, this conversation covers a lot, so there’s something for everyone. for them. The team also shares some words of wisdom for those just starting their journey on finding what works
We’ll be back in the New Year with season two, until then be sure to check out Happiful.com to learn more about mental health and wellbeing and to find support that works for you.

Eating: The Exhale
For this week’s exhale episode we’re creating space for you to explore your relationship with food and sharing ideas to help you reconnect with the joy of eating. We’re sharing some journaling prompts here, so be sure to have a writing tool to hand and a little quiet time to yourself, if possible.
Please take care listening if you have a history of disordered eating or have an active eating disorder and if anything feels overwhelming, park the episode for another time.
If you’re looking for professional support to explore this topic further, visit Happiful.com.

Eating: Finding What Works
From eating ethically to feeling pressured to be a certain size, the topic of eating is a complex one. This week we’re taking a broad look at difficulties that can come with eating and how we can rediscover the joy of it. Joining me this week is nutritional therapist Kaysha Thomas.
Note: We do discuss eating disorders in this episode, so do take care listening.

Relaxation: The Exhale
This week we’re taking the idea of an exhale episode quite literally as we invite you to exhale with us. Following on from last week’s conversation on relaxation, today we’re sharing a self-hypnosis for relaxation from hypnotherapist Amy Townsend. Set aside time to listen when you can fully switch off from the world for 10 minutes or so, and please don’t listen while driving.
We hope you love it as much as we do.

Relaxation: Finding What Works
Do you struggle to relax? If switching off feels more like a to-do than a treat, we’ve got you. In this week’s episode, we’re chatting to three experts on all things relaxation, offering a range of tools to explore from reflexology and hypnotherapy to pottery and crafting. We explore why relaxing isn’t always easy and the small steps you can take to ease into relaxation.

Friendship: The Exhale
In today’s exhale episode, we’re exploring friendships. Last week we had a conversation about the importance of friendship, how to make new friends, friendship maintenance and how to know when it’s time to let go of a friendship. This week, to help you put what you learned into practice, we’re sharing 10 questions to ask a friend to help deepen your connection. So set a date with a pal, grab a cuppa and enjoy the discussion.

Friendship: Finding What Works
Why can it be so hard to make friends as an adult? How can we move past the fear of rejection when making new connections? How can we maintain friendships when life gets busy? And how do we know when it’s time to let a friendship go?
In this week’s episode, we’re diving into all these questions and more. I speak with counselling psychologist Dr Rebecca O’Sullivan and my long-term friend Zoe Lavender-Stuart to find out more about the importance of friendship and how we can cultivate meaningful connections.

To help you reflect on what we discussed, today we’re sharing some journaling prompts. Take some time to give these some thought and see what comes up.
