Taking Authors To Task - Self-Inflicted Word Count Challenge
Sandra’s been doing this thing lately with her fanfic writing. She’ll get an idea for a one-shot, but before you know it, the story has gotten all plotty, and the word count has run wild. So, Karlee gave her a challenge. Write a one-shot, one-scene, and keep it under 3K. But Karlee, the ever-loving friend that they are, agreed to have a go with the challenge as well. Then, Karlee’s beta, runawaydr3amer, provided a prompt, all agreed on the terms… and now here they are to talk about the fallout… um, fruits of their labor.
This is the episode for you if you are a fellow angsty writer who likes to punish themselves. Ramble On - The Kitchen Is The Center Of The House
Podfic Time – “la cocina es el centro de la casa” (translation: the kitchen is the center of the house) by deadlybride
Karlee and I were recommended this fic and we fell in love with it. Young Sam and Dean, a little slice of life, all the sweet smiles and feels.
The author, deadlybride, was kind enough to permit me to narrate in full. So, here it is for your enjoyment. Please forgive any butchering of the Spanish. I gave it my best shot (and a lot of research).
And all I could think of was Dean saying, “I don’t know… why don’t you ask me that in Spanish?”
