In preparation for Halloween we are reviewing the KING IN YELLOW from Pelgrane Press.  Inspired by Robert W. Chambers’ influential cycle of short stories, The Yellow King Roleplaying Game takes you on a brain-bending spiral through multiple selves and timelines.

Written and designed by GUMSHOE master Robin D. Laws, it pits the characters against the reality-altering horror of The King in Yellow. This suppressed play, once read, invites madness or a visit from its titular character, an alien ruler intent on invading and remolding our world into a colony of his planet, Carcosa.

Nate gives an in-depth review of the gaming system, book set up and a description of the physical books.

Hey guy and gals, this is a long one!  Nate really gets into the latest rules of Warhammer 40,000 from Games Workshop.  Nate does a quick review of some of the rules updates and the book layout, but we spend a lot of the time talking about the new Crusade rules for use with Warhammer 40,000.  The Crusade rules allow you to run an escalating campaign where your army and improves and grows or can suffer set backs as you compete against other players.
