A remedy for anxiety is finding spaciousness and relief within. This meditation will help to guide you to experience that. You will experience relief in the body and mind. This practice also guides you to embrace those who are feeling just like you and extend love and compassion to yourself and them. We are together on this journey and you are not alone.
I share a personal story of a recent panic attack and how this exact practice helped. This practice is called Tonglen, found in Tibetan Buddhism. It is a meditation practice of giving and receiving introduced to the west by Pema Chodron. Informative video available below.

During lunch today, out of the blue, my daughter declared the quote written above. She completely stole my heart and ran away with it at that moment. I don't know where she heard that statement. I don't know how it came to be on one of the hardest days she would say it but perhaps on the days we mothers are most fearful, there are two bright eyes reminding us we are heroic.
I have been thinking about all the mothers right now. How hard we are all working to keep laughter and joy into the lives of little hearts so that these strange times appear like any other days in their lives. Let me say, I see you, I hear you, and I'm with you.
This meditation is for you. For the end of the day when the house is finally still. This is for you to remember ( not learn) your true nature. To let go of all that happened during the day and reset for the new one ahead.
