Episode 7: The place of PE in the new Irish Primary Curriculum Framework
The new Irish primary curriculum framework was launched on March 9th by the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA). There are a number of key upcoming changes in relation to Physical Education within the primary curriculum. Listen in as Liam Clohessy and Peter Lavin give a summary and discuss some of the key proposed developments specific to PE.

Episode 5- Developing Motivation and Confidence in PE with Tomás Mannion
In this episode, we discuss tips and strategies teachers can use to support the development of motivation and confidence in PE, so that pupils can adopt an enthusiasm for engaging in physical activity as an integral part of life.
Tomás Mannion draws on his experiences as a PE Advisor with the Professional Development Service for Teachers and his background in Sports and Exercise Psychology to highlight how communication, autonomy, choice and a sense of belonging are key elements of a holistic approach to physical literacy development in the primary school.
