Find Peace in the Chaos: Essential Self-Care for Work-Related Stress

Identify the problem, analyze it, and find a solution. Doing that work for your boss shows your dedication and initiative. - Nicky Asher-Bowling

  • Transform work-related blunders into opportunities for personal and professional growth.

  • Harness the power of anxiety management to improve workplace performance.

  • Adopt self-care strategies to alleviate stress and boost vitality in a demanding work environment.

  • Leverage a proactive attitude and responsibility-taking habits toward challenges to propel your career.

  • Foster a positive mindset, turning every mistake into a chance for self-improvement and learning.

Transforming Mistakes into Opportunities for Growth-
This key value encourages reframing of workplace mistakes as platforms for learning rather than causes for disappointment. By analyzing the root causes of the errors and understanding the impacts, individuals can gain new insights and develop improved strategies. This perspective allows for professional growth, underpins an increase in accountability, and helps maintain high standards of work.

Managing Anxiety to Improve Workplace Performance-
Recognizing the impact of anxiety on work performance is a crucial step towards improving productivity. Nicky shares the concept of proactive communication, especially when something goes wrong, to manage potential stress and anxiety. By acknowledging anxiety, seeking medical advice, and utilizing offered treatments, individuals can better control their reactions and enhance their overall job performance.

Adopting Self-Care Strategies for Stress Relief-
The convention of self-care is vital in the quest to achieve and maintain a healthy work-life balance. • Take a step back and analyze the situation: Reflect on what went wrong and why it happened. Identify any contributing factors such as feeling overwhelmed or poor time management.

    • Communicate with your boss: If your boss doesn't initiate a conversation about your mistake, take the initiative to schedule a meeting. Be prepared to explain what happened, why it happened, and how you plan to fix it.

    • Take care of your mental health: If your anxiety levels are high, consider speaking with a healthcare professional about medication options. Follow your doctor's advice on dosage and frequency.

    • Develop a follow-up plan: Ensure you have a plan in place to prevent similar mistakes in the future. This may include being diligent at work, paying attention to details, and double-checking your work.

    • Acknowledge and manage your emotions: It's natural to feel embarrassed and upset about making a mistake. Allow yourself to experience these emotions, but try to remain professional and positive in your work.

    • Seek support from your network: Talk to your support team, which may include your spouse, family members, life coach, or professional colleagues. Their guidance and perspective can help you navigate the situation.

Letting Go with Grace: Overcoming Emotional Attachments to Declutter Your Life

Letting Go with Grace: Overcoming Emotional Attachments to Declutter Your Life

Have you ever heard these myths about decluttering? Myth 1: If I get rid of something, I'm getting rid of the memories attached to it. Myth 2: I might need this one day, so I can't let it go. Myth 3: My stuff defines who I am, so I can't part with it. In this episode, we uncover the truth behind these myths and reveal a powerful strategy to help you overcome emotional attachments and declutter your life.

In this episode, you will be able to:

  • Uncover the profound effects of decluttering on your lifestyle and wellness.

  • Navigate the continuous journey of decluttering to achieve a more organized life.

  • Understand the emotional ties we have with clutter and how to overcome them.

Decluttering helps you mentally, emotionally, and even physically. It keeps you more active in your house and gives you a sense of control over your surroundings. - Nicky Asher-Bowling

Understand emotional ties
One of the primary challenges faced during decluttering is the sentimental value attached to belongings. Although it can be difficult to let go of items grounded in emotions or memories, it is necessary for creating a simplified, stress-free environment. It's about striking a balance between keeping what truly matters and letting go of the rest.

Reviving Hope: Breaking the Chains of Generational Depression

In this episode, you will be able to:

Change starts with me. I am breaking the cycle of depression and creating a better future for my family. - Nicky Asher-Bowling

I remember the day I started to confront the shadow of depression that had been looming over my family for generations. It was a cold winter day, my own mood mirroring the gloomy weather outside. I looked at the solemn faces of my family members - my mother, my grandmother - and realized that this was a cycle I didn't want to repeat. It wasn't easy, but I took the first step towards breaking the cycle. I opened up a conversation about our shared struggle. It was uncomfortable, but necessary. We started educating ourselves, diving into books, articles, and videos about depression. It wasn't a personal weakness, but a medical condition that deserved attention and care., Slowly, the conversation shifted towards healthy coping mechanisms and support. As a family, we started to understand and recognize the signs of depression. We learned how to express our feelings, to ask for help, to be there for each other. I pushed myself to make positive lifestyle changes, to create an environment that promoted mental well-being. It was a journey, filled with difficulties, but a necessary one. Today, I'm proud of the strides we've made as a family. We've not only broken the cycle of depression, but have also become stronger, more resilient, and more understanding in the process.

Safeguarding Children: Exposing the Alarming Link between Pornography and Human Trafficking

Safeguarding Children: Exposing the Alarming Link between Pornography and Human Trafficking

Charity Parenzini's story starts like an unlikely hero's origin story. She was in the midst of a bustling city life, working as a professional actor and producer. Charity was entrusted with the arduous task of
being a liaison between a group of producers from Los Angeles and an
organization aiming to raise funds for human trafficking. Charity wasn't just a middleman. She was an idea factory, birthing plans that would get the funds where they needed to be. One of her ideas was to educate frontliners, the ones who could actually rescue these children. As she delved deeper into this world, she found herself at the helm of a nonprofit organization, fueled by a generous donation and her own reluctant determination. Her journey was filled with
unanticipated challenges and startling discoveries, but it was a path she was meant to tread., In an unexpected twist of fate, Charity Parenzini found herself entrenched in the fight against human trafficking. What started as a casual conversation over lunch, soon catapulted her into a world she had never planned to explore. Even the decision to revert to her maiden name, Parenzini, was a symbol of the transformation she was undergoing. Working as a liaison between a group of producers and a human trafficking nonprofit, she realized the importance of educating those on the frontline. This idea became the cornerstone of her work. As she immersed herself in this world, the depth and breadth of the industry stunned her. She discovered the dark link between pornography consumption and the sex trafficking industry, and how a simple device like a smartphone could be a gateway for predators. This was a wake-up call and energized her resolve to fight against this insidious industry. Her journey was not easy, but the thought of protecting innocent children kept her moving forward.

Declutter Your Mind, Declutter Your Space: Finding Clarity and Serenity in the Midst of Mental Health Challenges

Declutter Your Mind, Declutter Your Space: Finding Clarity and Serenity in the Midst of Mental Health Challenges

Be honest with yourself and take action.

Setting Realistic Goals

When it comes to decluttering, to avoid getting overwhelmed, it's not just about starting small. A vital component is setting realistic goals. Each person's capacity differs, especially when dealing with depression or anxiety. It's essential to understand your limits and work within those constraints rather than aiming for big, unrealistic targets. An attainable goal keeps you motivated, whereas a daunting one could put you off entirely. Nicky Asher-Bowling emphasized this a lot during the session. There was a certain relatability when she shared how she started from decluttering one single drawer and then worked her way up. She stressed the importance of being kind to oneself, accounting for the gradual pace as an achievement rather than a drawback. Her message to listeners in a similar situation: Every small step counts, and it's okay if things take more time. An insightful takeaway indeed!

Starting Small and Setting Realistic Goals

There's no rulebook for decluttering that states that you have to clean out your entire house in a day or a week. Don't put unnecessary pressure on yourself! Take baby steps, start with a small task like cleaning a single corner or organizing a drawer, and gradually increase your target. Remember to set realistic goals - targets that are achievable for you. Nicky Asher-Bowling touched upon this when sharing her own journey in the podcast. It's fascinating to hear about her approach - how she started small with the task of decluttering. She stressed creating a comfortable pace for yourself without feeling overwhelmed. In her own words, decluttering should be 'a marathon, not a sprint.' It's good advice for anyone, even those not dealing with depression or anxiety. • ·  Follow the 90-day rule to help you decide what to keep and what to let go of.
  • · Seek support and accountability from a friend, family member, or coach.
  • ·  Get ridof the items you decluttered as soon as possible to prevent re-cluttering.
  • ·  Be honest with yourself and avoid making excuses for keeping unnecessary items.

00:11:53 - Pressure on Women, The conversation turns to the pressure on women to do it all and how this can contribute to burnout. The idea of superwoman is debunked, and the importance of feminism being a choice rather than a requirement is discussed.

00:13:48 - Feminism and Choice, The idea that feminism is about having a choice is further explored, and it is emphasized that women do not have to do it all to be considered feminists. The conversation ends on a positive note of women being able to make choices to prioritize their own wellbeing.

The Relentless Boy Mom: Adrianne Taylor on Parenting and Communication

The Relentless Boy Mom: Adrianne Taylor on Parenting and Communication

When single mother Adrianne Taylor unexpectedly becomes a "boy mom" of five children ranging from age six to 25, her relentless pursuit to build an open, honest, and intentional relationship with her sons highlights the central conflict of her podcast, "The Relentless Boy Mom".
"No matter what, we just keep going, and it's going to be all right. We can't ever give up. Our kids are looking to us in any situation, and how we react is how they're going to react. How we perceive the situation is how they're going to perceive it."
Adrianne Taylor is a boy mom of five and host of the podcast "The Relentless Boy Mom," where she shares her experiences of navigating motherhood and encourages other moms to keep a positive mindset.

Adrianne Taylor experienced firsthand the importance of communication in parenting after becoming a young single mom of three boys. Despite the struggles she faced, she persevered and learned the importance of engaging her oldest son, Caleb, in conversations before her remarriage and the arrival of her other sons. Now, with her oldest son at 25 and youngest son at 6, Adrianne has seen the differences in her parenting, and encourages other parents to bring their children into conversations and be intentional in asking them how they feel. Despite the difficulties of parenting, Adrianne still plans fun family activities, understanding that not every day will go perfectly.
In this episode, you will learn the following:

1. The Challenges of Raising Adult Children: How to transition from making decisions for your children to allowing them to make their own decisions.
2. The Power of Intentional Conversations: How to ask your children thought-provoking questions to deepen your relationship.
3. The Reality of Highlight Reels: How to be mindful of the pressure to compare us to the "perfect" lives portrayed on social media.

Chapter Summaries:

[00:00:00]
Adrianne Taylor is a boy mom of five. To motherhood unfiltered is going to be okay. Lots of times moms are in the middle of some kind of catastrophe or anxiety attack. If you keep a positive mindset and work through the problems at the Indian, it'll be all right.

[00:01:00]
Aaron Carroll: I have a podcast called the relentless boy mom. He says once you become a mom, that's who you become. Carroll: You don't have to be a boy mom to listen to his podcast or even be a guest on it. He wants to let all moms know that you're doing the best that you can.

[00:07:41]
There's a huge difference between my oldest and my youngest and how I thought as a mom, how I parented and things that mattered. Does your older son offer any kind of needed or wanted advice to the youngers?

[00:11:49]
When you have a boy or a girl, bring them into the conversation because their life is going to be changing. Having a positive male role model in the home can change the family dynamics. I would recommend is if you are a single mom looking to remarry.

[00:20:29]
I enjoy seeing my kids as adults. I don't like seeing them struggle. They're able to handle adulthood as best as they know how. And they're working through the problems. Sometimes they look for us to just give them answers.

[00:22:38]
Roxanne Jones: It's almost tougher raising adult children because as little kids, you can kind of help them work through their problems. Having a six-year-old and a 25 year old helps me appreciate the younger one, she says. Jones: Being more mindful and intentional of asking them how they are going.

[00:28:12]
Not every day goes perfect. Do activities together. Talk with your kids. Be thankful for every single happy moment. Let go of the expectations and create memories.

[00:35:33]
Their immune systems are good, so they're fine. But because it says it expired doesn't mean it's bad. This one was bad, though. I mean, we needed every last bit I had growing boys.

[00:36:11]
If you're a mom, you have to be relentless. I can't tell you the countless nights I laid in bed just I almost wanted to wake them up and be like, I'm so sorry. And this resolution that as soon as we wake up tomorrow, tomorrow is going to be a different day.

[00:37:43]
Can they listen to your podcast on any platform, or is it just on Spotify, Apple, iTunes? If you type in the relentless boy mom three words, you'll see a picture of me with my five sons. You were actually on it, so thank you for your episode.

[00:00:03]

Nicky: Amanda Kate is the author of Divine Messy Human a Spiritual Guide to Prioritizing Internal Truth Over External Influence. If you're watching on YouTube, to comment like and subscribe. I've got five spots open for coaching.

[00:02:14]

Amanda Kate is a Kinesiologist and archetypal life coach. Her new book is a spiritual guide to prioritizing internal truth over external influence. She will be speaking with us today.

[00:03:43]

Kinesiology helps us tap into what's going on under the surface in that subconscious. In essence, the body knows how to heal itself. What we want to do is find what is stressing the body. Is it physical, chemical, or emotional?

[00:11:50]

We are always looking for acceptance, validation, connection, love in the outside world. All marketing goes into some form of shame. The patriarchal structure where less than half a percent of people are rich and doing well. The rest of us are struggling to make ins and eat.

[00:22:16]

In eating, we are bringing in some form of nourishment. What we're actually looking for at the very basis of it is connection. If I can eat until I feel full, it's filling up the emptiness that I have from other things that aren't nourishing me.

[00:31:08]

We do need external scaffolding. We do need a number of different modalities, too. I encourage my clients to go and see a Naturopath, to be seeing an Acupuncturist. We want to do it at a pace that your nervous system can manage.

[00:38:48]

"The quantum leaps come from those tiny little simple steps that you put into your daily life, " she says. If you just make 1% or 2% changes every day, every week, it is not too long until you are on a completely different trajectory.

[00:45:35]

Oh, duh. Nicky you're live. That confused me. But people who know me and follow me, there's always something going on with her. So I will put her contact information in the show notes when the episode gets released.

Pursuing God Over Perfection: Tammy Bartels's Journey

When Tammy Bartels, a corporate mom turned stay-at-home mom, is thrust into a season of life she never planned for, she discovers a greater purpose in pursuing a relationship with Jesus instead of perfection in the world.

"His plan is greater than your plan every time." - Tammy Bartels

At a retreat with her business coach, God called her to use her season to raise her children to be followers of Him. She began to pursue a relationship with God over worldly perfection and was soon checking in with a Bible study group and reading the Bible in a chronological order. In this episode, you will learn the following:

1. What life lessons did Tammy learn when she was "thrust into" stay-at-home life?

2. How did Tammy's relationship with Jesus Christ grow when her family moved across the country?

3. How has Tammy's pursuit of a relationship with Jesus, rather than perfection in the world's terms, changed her life?

Unraveling the Financial Incentives to Deny Applications with Spencer Bishins

Unraveling the Financial Incentives to Deny Applications with Spencer Bishins

In this episode, Spencer Bishins, a former Social Security employee and author of 'Social Security Field', reveals the truth about the agency's financial incentive to deny claims and explains the steps to successfully navigate the complex process to access disability benefits.

"Once you understand the process and the barriers Social Security has in place, you can navigate the system and access the benefits you deserve."

Spencer Bishins is a disability expert with a Master's degree from the London School of Economics, a law degree from Florida State University, and over 10 years of experience working for the Social Security Administration. He has written the book Social Security Disability Revealed to demystify the complicated disability system.

Spencer Bishins sold a lot of books about Social Security, and then noticed a financial incentive for Social Security to deny applications. Through his experience rating and reviewing thousands of decisions, he saw that no one was providing a comprehensive guide to the process. He wrote a book to help people figure out the process, to understand that Social Security has a financial incentive to deny as many claims as possible, and to recognize that Congress has the power to adjust the system's financial situation. With this knowledge, Spencer believes that people can navigate the system and access the benefits they need.

In this episode, you will learn the following:

1. What are the financial incentives behind Social Security's disability program?

2. How can Immigration affect the Social Security trust fund?

3. What should people know about the Social Security disability application process before applying?
