Recorded by a young volunteer

A crow couple had built a nest on the top of a tree, but unfortunately the tree was inhabited by a snake at its bottom. Crow did something which helped him in getting rid of the snake.

A Fox looks at a mask and wonders where the mask’s brains are.

A great conflict was about to come off between the Birds and the Beasts. A Bat could not choose sides in a potential war. When peace came, neither side would accept him.

A Hare had many good weather friends but when trouble was near, they all refused to help the Hare. He managed to escape on his own.

Frogs prayed for a king but got a log. Prayed again and got a stork who started to have a feast on them.

A thirsty crow wanted water from a pitcher, so he filled it with pebbles to raise the water level to drink. 

A Grasshopper met with an Ant who was storing food for the winter. When winter came the Ant was comfortable; the Grasshopper not so.

The stork invited the fox to a meal, which is served in a narrow-necked vessel. It is easy for the stork to access but impossible for the fox. A story which gives the moral about how to behave in the world. 

A fox tries to get grapes to eat but cannot. The fox goes away in disgust saying he didn’t want them anyhow.

Each one of us goes through good days and bad days. Only those who help you out on your bad days are your true friends.

Once a farmer got a hen, which is used to lay a golden egg every day. The farmer sold those golden eggs and earned lots of money. Listen to how he became greedy and foolish. 

A farmer looking for a source of water for his farm bought a well from his neighbor. The neighbor was cunning, though, and refused to let the farmer take water from the well.

Once a lion said to all the animals in the forest that if one of them will come to him as his meal for the day, he would not kill anyone else among them. All the animals agreed to this but rabbit had other plans. 

A beautiful story about a blind horse and his owner, who has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him. 

A clever king wanted to appoint new minister, so he tested the wisdom of his three minsters. 

An elephant and his search for friend, and asks number of animals to be his friend but everyone refuses to him.  So he did something which made the other animals love him.

There were three cows in a forest. One day a Lion was passing by, and had been starving for many days. 

This is story about unity and strength.

A Mother Crab and her baby were walking together. The Baby Crab was walking a little ahead of the Mother. After a while, the Mother Crab said, “Why do you bend towards one side when you walk, my child?”

What made her mother said so, and what the baby crab did. Listen! 

A sincere and honest woodcutter of a village who later turned greedy. 

A tortoise was resting under a tree, on which a bird had built its nest. The tortoise spoke to the bird mockingly, “What a shabby home you have! It is made of broken twigs, it has no roof, and looks crude. What’s worse is that you had to build it yourself. I think my house, which is my shell, is much better than your pathetic nest”. 

The thirsty crow was searching for water and finally found a tall pot with very little water in it.

Once upon a time a turtle and a rabbit had an argument about who was faster. They decided to settle the argument with a race.

A Miser had buried his gold in a secret place in his garden. He made so many trips that a Thief, who had been observing him, guessed what it was the Miser had hidden. What happened next? Listen! 

A king discovers that the ability to turn objects into gold is more of a curse than a blessing.

Once upon a time there lived a salt merchant in a small village, who had a donkey to carry the salt load to the market. 

The donkey acted foolish and learned a lesson.

Once upon a time, an old man lived with his three sons in a village. The three sons were hard workers. Still, they quarrelled all the time. The old man tried a lot to unite them but he failed. Then the old man did something to show them the power of unity. 

Patty the Milkmaid was going to the market carrying milk in a pail on her head. As she walked along, her pretty head was busy with plans for the days to come. Listen to know! 

A dog and her pups lived on a farm, where there was a well. The mother dog told the pups, do not go near the well or play around it.

MORAL - Sometimes we need to listen to what our elders say instead of always defying.
