After relentlessly chasing material success for fifteen years in the corporate software industry, Jagjot felt tired and broken. Despite a well-paying job, he was depressed and lonely. Though he was doing well in his career, there was no sense of fulfillment or joy. The happiness and glory of a booming IT industry were nowhere to be found. It was then that he decided to leave his corporate job and explore the spiritual path. And after a few years of seeking, he discovered something incredible. His spiritual awakening was sudden and intense, and he realized that what he sought was never apart from him. He learned that all this time he was living in an illusion of separation, which was the cause of his pain and suffering. When the illusion disappeared, the Wholeness revealed itself, and it broke the last remains of what was perceived as the "me" in Jagjot. After the awakening, Jagjot read the teachings of spiritual masters like Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Jiddu Krishnamurthi, and last but not least, Ramesh Balsekar. The teachings of these great masters helped in deepening his understanding of the ONE non-dual truth. Jagjot does not consider himself to be a spiritual teacher, guru, or healer. He thinks of himself as a pointer in consciousness that seeks solace in delivering the message of peace and harmony to others. His only objective is to help others discover the same peace or awareness that he experienced through personal insights. He has hundreds of articles on non-duality on his website, videos on his YouTube channel, and podcast episodes. Jagjot is freely available to anyone who wishes to discuss any spiritual matter. If I am not the body and not the mind, then who am I? This question has been haunting humanity since the beginning of time. It is what Ramana Maharshi called self-inquiry which questions the nature of reality. Identified with the limited mind-body complex, we struggle in the world to survive, not knowing that we are not this limited entity but the pure awareness that transcends duality. We are the non-dual awareness that we seek. Every move and every thought is in the direction of this pure awareness (sat-chit-ananda) which is our true nature.

What is Non-Duality?
This episode is an introduction to Non-Duality or Advaita. An exploration into the non-dual truth or our true nature brings forth the idea of cultivating peace in daily living. For most people, non-duality is a radical concept that creates trouble in intellectual understanding. It is not about escaping the world but "seeing" it with an unfiltered perception. However, the emphasis here is not on the concept or philosophy but on the simple spiritual understanding that separation from the source creates pain and suffering, and merging the "I-thought" back into the source is union or peace. What I offer here (non-duality) is a concept and not the truth. Examine it. Investigate it. And see if it is your truth or not. The truth has to come through your personal experience.
The "Myth" of Personal Enlightenment
There is no such thing as personal enlightenment. A seeker on the spiritual path seeks awakening or enlightenment in the hope of achieving unending bliss or some permanent state. However, no state is permanent, and "enlightenment" is just a concept of the ego to strengthen itself. Spiritual awakening is the Realization that behind appearances is the same consciousness that runs through all. That is all there is to it. There is no such thing as an awakened or enlightened person. The person, even after awakening, continues to live life as before.
