ESPN recently made another round of layoffs. Over the past few years they've been forced to make budget cuts which results in numerous talented people losing their jobs. During today's show, Jay welcomes Philip Jordan back to the show. The two of them discuss the impact of ESPN's layoffs, the state of ESPN Radio, and unveil their dream national radio lineup.

Ian Eagle's voice is one of the most recognizable voices in sports. He's not only the long time tv voice of the Brooklyn Nets, but he also calls some of the biggest games in the NBA and NFL. He was recently named the successor of Jim Nantz to be the new voice of the Final Four. This is one of the topics Jay Stephens discusses during today's show. Jay and Ian also go over foods Ian has never eaten, his relationship with Bill Raftery, and NFL players gambling on games.

Greg Rakestraw is a name sports fans in Indianapolis are familiar with. His involvement with the Indianapolis Colts & high school sports scene are reasons why he's so recognizable. He's also a returning guest to the show. The NBA All Star Game is a great way to represent the talent in the league.  LeBron James, Steph Curry, and others consistently headline the massive event during the half way point of the season.  It would be great if the game had the same appeal and play that it had years ago.  The league is trying to find ways to make the game better, however it doesn't seem like the players care to compete on this stage.  During today's show, Jay Stephens reacts to what we witnessed during the All Star Game.  He also shares excitement about Mac McClung's show during the dunk contest and why Jalen Rose is out of touch with reality.

The wait is over!  The Indianapolis Colts have finally hired a head coach.  It sure seems like their long process was worth it as Shane Steichen seems to be the right man for the job.   During today's show, Jay welcomes Stewart Brooking back to the podcast.  Stewart and Jay react to the Colts hiring Shane Steichen, how the hire impacts the draft, and go over the odd connection the Colts have with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Super Bowl LVII was an extremely fun game to watch.  The Chiefs and the Eagles left it all on the line while fighting to win the championship of the NFL.  However, the end of the game brought numerous people to say the game is rigged or that the refs are the reason the Chiefs won the game.  That  thought got a lot of attention shortly after the game ended.  Jay Stephens is not one of those people who believes the refs handed the Chiefs the win.  During today's show Jay discusses why it smart for the Raiders to cut Derek Carr.  He also let's us know why the refs aren't why the Chiefs won the Super Bowl.  He closes the show going over his thoughts about the mass shooting at Michigan State.

Women in Sports Month has been a great addition to the podcast. Allowing women to help us learn what it's like being a women in sports is great for everyone.  Sports is dominated by men, and that's something that might not change.  That doesn't mean women can't be a bigger part of sports in every aspect.  Today's guest is someone that is a great example of a female that can and will make her mark in sports.  Today's guest is Miss Maddy Hudak.  Maddy Hudak writes for USA Today's Saints Wire and is the sideline reporter for Tulane football. Maddy and I react to the Nick Saban-Jimbo Fischer fiasco, discuss her entrance into working in sports media, and have an in depth conversation about the importance of taking care of your mental health.

Candace Cooper is back! Candace and I had so much fun during last weeks episode we decided to run it back.  On this week's episode Candace talks about "punishment practices" while at North Carolina, relying on her mental toughness, the student athlete experience, and how she'd benefit from NIL.

As women in sports month continues, Jay welcomes someone to the podcast that has a really unique story.  Candace Cooper is this weeks guest as she talks about what it was like being the first black female swimmer at the University of North Carolina.  This is part 1 of Jay's conversation with Candace.  This week we hear Candace talk about her experience playing club sports, being a high school swimmer, why she committed to North Carolina, and when she found out she was a pioneer.
